Very good budget hotel.

My only complaints are that I left the privacy symbol on and when I got back to my room it had been made up and the privacy sign was off, and my room was near the side exit door which would slam loudly every time someone came or went late at night. Other than that, I had a very good stay and it would be hard to beat for the price.

The Travelodge Opelika is easily accessible off I-85 at Exit 62 (US280 & US431). We are conveniently located just 11 miles from Auburn University, 2 miles from Downtown Heritage Walk, 5 miles from the world famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, 10 mi from tranquil Chewacla State Park and 10 mi from Surfside Water Park. Fort Benning is only 30 minutes away and Calloway Gardens is just 45 minutes.

Location is great when going to a game. Getting cabs was not a problem to and from the game. The hotel is a little old and feels a little dingy, but the people working there were super nice and extremely helpful.
When looking for a place to crash after the game - its works great. It is a little pricey - but on a big game weekend so is everyone else.

We booked this hotel for 2 reasons - it was rated high and they were running a sports weekend special. Well, it was very out of the way of the sporting event we went to and there was hardly anyone there and we felt like we were in a haunted hotel - even if it was a nice hotel. It was a bummer.

the bedding was old and had hole in sheets.staff eeto not want to be bother the pool was not available .
