I enjoyed my stay. The staff was wonderful. The room was clean and fairly spacious. There was a flat screen TV and free internet connection in the room. There was also plenty of electrical outlets, which I found to be quite helpful.
The hotel was very easy to find and a short drive to the downtown area and other hotspots.

Two things that stood out: they were very accommodating and the staff was friendly. However, they weren't fully prepared for malfunctions (the toilet and washer were'nt working we had to switch rooms, and the internet service was quirky). Overall our 4 night/5 day stay it was all right!

Great for a comfortable stay

I was in Mobile for surgery at the Women's and Children's Hospital and stayed one night. The staff were very nice, the motel was much better than I had expected...it even had a recliner (which my husband loved!). It was three miles from the hospital and in a pretty quiet location. I have no complaints and would definitely stay again.

The hotel is not in the nicest area but was easy to find from the interstate. With that being said it was kind of loud being close to the interstate. The room was cleaner then most and the bed was very comfortable. The night staff did not speak clear English and it was difficult to communicate but we did not have an issue.

The hotel couldn't get any better for a Holiday Inn. I didn't expect too much so it lived up to my expectations. The staff was super friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my stay overall. They didn't even charge me for parking!

This hotel is beautiful! Our room was very spacious. The bathroom had a wonderful tiled shower that was separate from the large tub. The finishings were lovely....granite, crown molding and even the baseboards were top notch. Highly recommended. Book early for Mardi Gras because it's the perfect location and I bet rooms will go quickly.

The hotel is very upscale and immaculate. The architecture is beautiful as well. The rooms are very nice and clean. The location is in the heart of the city and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Joe Cain cafe is wonderful and is one of the three on site restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has a taste for the finer things in life. Well done.

Nice surprise

I had some pleasant surprises while staying at the hotel this week. It was quieter than I would have guessed considering it was located near the freeway. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt safe with the interior hallways and secure entryways to the hotel. I was also surprised with the additional free snacks available with the free popcorn and soft drinks. The baked potatoes, hot dogs and chicken tenders actually were good enough to fill me up for dinner one night. And the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Thanks Drury Inn for the pleasant stay.

we had thought that we would be placed in close proximity to our adult children and spouses and granddaughter,since we called preamble to our visit. due to the forgetfullness of the hotel staff we were seperated in room assignment. this did not set well with us. we are from Michigan and our kids/spouses and granddaughter are from Texas.

My purpose for traveling to Mobile was to attend an football mini-camp. The hotel was very convenient and my check on was very simple as I was exhausted from the travel. Breakfast was delicious, however I thought it was tacky for a couple of guest having breakfast at the same time we were to come to a public breakfast buffet in there pj's and no shoes on. The staff was very knowledgeable of the city which was very helpful to me. I enjoyed my stay overall.

All in all this was usual comfortable Hampton Inn room, although smaller than some. A trashcan in the sink area would be nice. Also, there was so much Febreze on the pillows and comforter, it was difficult to sleep (seriously!). I think this must have been a smoking room they were making over into nonsmoking by trying to rid the room of smoke smells.

Hotel was used as a base for further travel "up Country" to visit with family members. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Menu was limited but most food was fresh and well prepared and presented. Biggest disapointment was that I was advised that my Hilton Honors status would not be honored since I booked through a third party rather than direct. However, I was subsequently informed that a single exception would be made, and I would be credited for my stay, albeit I was unable to take advantage of my perks as a Gold HHonors VIP, during the course of my stay!

The bath towels were very nice & soft. Normally, hotels have thin- cheap- rough bath towels, but not this hotel. Had a huge flat screen tv & was modern. Only thing that turned me off was the stains on the chair/bedspread and I didn't even wanna think about that. The location was close to food & the interstate. It was a great buy for the money, especially since I'm a single mom.

Very convenient stop on the way to New Orleans. Right off the interstate with places to eat near by. Nothing special about the hotel but it was reasonably clean and the bed was comfortable. At the price not a bad place to stay for a night.

Eveything was ok except for the fact there were no elevators to the second floor. This was not good at all for my wife and I. The hotel did provide breakfast for its guests.

The Lincoln Center Boxing coach traveled with three of our boxing participants who stayed at the Comfort Suites. Several parents and volunteers made their own reservations and stayed at the Comfort Suites. The hotel was centrally located to the boxing event, shopping area and other hotels where other boxing participants stayed.

For the price and the location this was a great deal, I would stay here again being that it was right off the highway and it was located right between downtown and the main shopping strip.

This is an extended stay motel. So, they have a full kitchen, which is really nice. The room was in great shape. Location was right off the expressway, so easy access. Lots of places to eat right there. For the money, it doesn't get better than this, unless you're staying in a Vegas strip hotel between Sunday and Thursday. ;)

Our experience was fantastic from the moment we entered the hotel. We were checked in by Ricardo, who was the BEST! The room was clean and the amenities awesome (refrigerator). Could have used a microwave, though. Otherwise, it was a beautiful facility with a wonderful free breakfast (bacon/sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal, etc.), and the eating area attendant was the best, anticipating people's wants and needs with always a smile! LOVED this place!

Enjoyed a Mardi Gras parade and ball during this trip. The location for Mardi Gras in Mobile is unbeatable. The hotel staff were wonderful, and routinely went out of their way to make us comfortable.

We thought the hotel itself was beautiful. Loved the location by the river and Bay of the Holy Spirit (otherwise known as Mobile Bay). We were attending the Revival at the Convention Center so were thrilled the hotel had a walkway. The valet was charming, the check in was very disappointing, mistakes made and not very professional for a 4 star hotel. The room was very nice but the tub faucet was broken. The dining room where we had a late dinner was lovely and the waitress could not have been more helpful but it was a long wait for the food and then it wasn't hot so we had to send it back. It still wasn't hot but we ate it anyway. Not the waitresses fault. I will go back b/c of the location if I'm able to return.

Bowl Game weekend in Mobile

Traveled to Mobile for a bowl game and a weekend of fun. Chose the Candlewood because it was in a good location and appeared to be a good value. It is not fancy, but very clean and nice. For the price I paid, I would rate it as excellent. The staff was friendly, the location was great, the room was clean. If I looked for an area that they could improve upon, I would suggest larger beds and additional parking. I believe the bed was only a standard size. A queen or king size would have improved the comfort level for my wife and me. It was, however, a comfortable bed. The hotel was at full capacity and the parking lot filled up in the evenings. Cars were parking in places that were not actual parking spaces. Other than these two small inconveniences, it was a pleasant stay and a great value. Others in my travel group stayed in nearby hotels and paid three times what we did and did not receive much more in terms of added comfort. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

My family and I booked this room for 2 nights w/[...].The beds were small but tolerable.The fridge was broken and all of our food ruined since they didn't bring in a new 1 until the 2nd evening of our stay.I took a shower 2 get ready 4 an appointment when I realized the hairdryer didn't work,I was late due to the fact that I had to wait for my husband to get me 1.My children were restless the entire stay being couped up in such a small room without a working t.v.Parking was very far away from the frontdoor and the room we were in.They say they have continental breakfast but it consists of cheerios and orange juice.It was an overall unpleasant stay,even for the price.I don't plan to go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Senior Bowl Trip

This was a very good hotel for a reasonable price. It was a suite with comfortable beds and plenty of living area space. I came down for the Senior Bowl and it wasn't far from the stadium (due to its close proximity to I-10). Also, it has a commercial area nearby should you need to get something to eat, get your car serviced, or pick up anyting you need that you might have forgotten. It is outside the city of Mobile but it is close to the city limits. Also, it ony took about 40 minutes to drive from the hotel to Biloxi and its casinos. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
