We stayed for one night, and caught one of the all-day Fjord tours which departed two doors down from this hotel. The location of this hotel can't be beat as it's right where the action is, near tours, town, fish market. Quality of hotel was better than expected and the pool, although small, is the only one in town and worked out great for my kids.

The staff is what makes this hotel. Danny was friendly and went out of his way to make sure guest needs were met. He is an asset. This is a nice hotel but if you are looking for a typical modern chain, this is not it. This hotel is for people who enjoy older buildings and the mood they bring.

This early 1900's hotel is well located in the historic center and a 10 minute walk from the aquarium. I know it isn't for everyone, it doesn't have the anonymous amenities of the usual hotel chains. It is an historic property with small rooms, some with private bathrooms, some with shared bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, there is a kitchen which you are free to use and it is just the kind of place I love.

For the price and location I don't think it could get better there in Seward. It had free wifi with a fridge in the room. There's a microwave in the lobby. Two gas stations and the grocery store very close also.

Just 120 miles south of Anchorage...on the Kenai Peninsula...on a highway that is designated a National Scenic Byway, at the head of Resurrection Bay sits the town of Seward, Alaska and Harborview Inn. Nestled between spectacular Mt. Marathon and breathtaking Resurrection Bay, is Harborview Inn, which is located right in the heart of mid-town Seward, Alaska. Harborview Inn was established by the King Family in 1989, and had grown over the years to 38 units. The inn offers 34 standard rooms, equipped with one queen bed, two double long beds or a queen bed with a twin(single bed). There is one deluxe room, called our King Suite which has a beautiful river rock fireplace, king size hand-peeled log bed , a twin-pull out sofa sleeper, rocking chair, cathedral ceilings with windows to the peak and a two-person steam bath shower. Also available for longer stays there is our C Street Apartments and our Tow Seaview Apartments, both with fully equipped kitchens. There are 34 rooms that can handle large groups. Location, location, location. This inn has it all. We are only 3/10 of a mile walk to the small boat harbor, which is the departure point for all sightseeing excursions that take you out to see the wonderful sights of Kenai Fjords National Park, and only a 1/2 mile walk from historic downtown Seward and the educational marine research facility, the Alaska SeaLife Center. We will be here waiting for you with the same wonderful service as always. We promise.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We arrived at 10:00 AM and they rearranged their booking to check us in early. In the morning they were kind enough to drop us off at the bus station. Not sre why they call it Harborview since you can't see the harbor; at least not from our room. A bit expensive, but this is probably due to the short tourist season.
