This is a really nice hotel, pretty new. Book a studio room instead of the superior room, it'll make a huge difference.
The dinnerware they provide in the room is Wedgewood, it says the quality and taste of the hotel. Highly recommend--the studio room.

What a fantastic find. So close to the underground and within walking distance to Southbank. The Borough markets were just around the corner with a wonderful selection of multicultural and local food. The room was a bit small but the bed was so comfortable and breakfast was included wich was a real bonus. We will definately stay here again.

The Days Hotel was surprisingly busy, had a good breakfast, and friendly staff. The location was fine for us since we used the underground to get around and was close to the Lambeth North station. We were quite early when we arrived and they let us check in, which was so appreciated since we really needed a nap after the flight from the US!

Good choice in expensive London
-
DocRay
- Aug 18, 2011
We arrived on a very warm afternoon in August and found that our room was very hot with no air conditioning. The window only opened about 4 inches, so getting fresh air in was not easy. However, the hotel provided a large fan that made the room tolerable for sleeping. While the room was very small, the room and entire hotel were very clean and well furnished. The full English breakfast was reasonable and very good. I would recommend tihs hotel for anyone wanting a clean convenient hotel for a reasonable price.

Short break in London
-
KC03
- May 22, 2012
My husband and I only had a short time to see all the sights and sounds of London therefore we needed a hotel close to the city centre but without the expensive cost. The Park Plaza was perfect - close to Vauxhall and Waterloo tube stations and only a 10 min walk to Westminster Bridge. A lovely location overlooking the river with the London Eye, Westminster and Big Ben nearby. The room was spacious, modern and clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Couldn't have asked for more and would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms are smallish but very clean and high end, 4 starish for sure. Only the location is a bit of a compromise. It felt just slightly dodgy as we walked the 4 blocks to the Vauxhall tube stop. Not near shopping or great restaurants. Very good value.

...also nix mit Frühstück usw.
Bzgl. der Lage kommts immer drauf an was man will.

The hotel was in a perfect location to see all of the landmarks in
London. Close to the HOHO busses, The Thames River cruises, Parliament, etc. Walk along the river to view Parliament and Big Ben. The hotel was very well appointed, clean, and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I believe that in a hotel that was this expensive, that breakfast could be included or at least something less expense than 15 Euro could be available.
Internet access was free on the two computers in the lobby, but 19 Euro per day to use the WIFI. These days this should never happen.
A small riverside restaurant on the corner next to the bridge was FANTASTIC.
The Archbishop of Canterbury lives across the street.

4 Nights at Marriot Hotel

Wow, location was awesome, we could walk to some of the biggest atttractions. The view was outstanding if you get a more expensive river view. The room was comfortable but the heating was difficult to adjust and it was a little cold. The only downside was there was not a good place for lunch in the Hotel (there was a place but it was a meeting area as well) and the Dinner restaraunt was pricey. It did not matter much because the Hotel Concierge gave us great dinner reservations nearby on 3/4 nights. All the meals were outstanding, although London food is pricey. The staff could not have been more helpful.

This hotel is in the heart of everything! Great location for easy access to everything London had to offer. The staff was very professinal, friendly, and helpful. The hotel has an amazing fitness center and pool. The only down sides were expensive breakfast and wifi internet access.

The South Bank location is great as it's just a short stroll to the incredible Tate Modern from where you can continue across the Millenial pedestrian bridge to St. Paul's Cathedral in the heart of London. The hotel is conveniently located also because it is above a Fuller's Pub. The staff are friendly and helpful. The draught beer is delicious as was the smoked fish and leak pie for dinner.

It stands as the centrepoint of a revitalised Square, which also boasts an independent cinema, contemporary flats and brand new office space all surrounding Bermondsey's famous antiques market. I visited London for a conference about half a mile from this hotel, and Bermondsey Square could easily become my London hotel of choice. It's reasonably walkable from several Northern Line stations, and has a Barclay's bike hire steps away.
The room was small by American standards, but certainly larger than I've learned to expect from European downtown hotels. Everything was set on an angle, which reduced the feeling of shuffling sideways between the bed and the walls that I've experienced elsewhere. The TV was an iMac, which meant I could charge my iPhone via a USB port instead of the eerily buzzing series of adapters and transformers I've tentatively used in the past.
The square includes a bar/movie theatre, a cafe/bookshop, a Sainsbury's local, and a Mediterranean restaurant in addition to the bar, restaurant, and chippy attached to the hotel; the Friday antiques market is quite upscale and starts drawing a crowd long before sunrise (although I was on the second floor facing the square, and didn't hear a peep).
Walking into town along Long Lane is a little shorter, but taking Bermondsey Street instead is more interesting. Lots of great little soup-and-sandwich places line the street, which ends near More London, the hip new office/retail area surrounding City Hall.

The wifi didn't work properly. I was looking forward to using the internet inside the room and was was glad to hear that it was complimentary, but unfortunately, I had to be next to the room door to get the slightest connection, if there even was one.

For me, the location was excellent. Waterloo, BFI, National Theatre, Westminster, all an easy walk. But 15 people in a 12x12 foot room? Tiny bathroom facilities and no water pressure. Certainly not worth more than the cheap price.
