Everything was on par with what I expect from a Marriott hotel. The rooms were nice and the bathroom was excellent. The exterior of the building was a little old and ion need of updating but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The location was excellent. We were close to enough to central London to sight see but for enough away to experience places away from the tourist areas. It was also close to a train station so we were able to experience riding the undergound. The hotel staff was great. They took the time to answer any and all questions. The ability to exchange currency onsite was helpful. My only complaint is breakfast should be included with the room rate.

The Windmill Hotel is based in Cricklewood, North West London. The location is fantastic offering easy access to Central London by car and Public Transport. The guest house is conveniently placed for both Kilburn & Willesden Green Tube Stations (Jubilee Line, Zone 2), Cricklewood Mainline (Thameslink) and numerous buses and night buses. The hotel was refurbished in late 2008 and offers bright, 19 clean modern rooms with en suites and a one single room with with a private shower room across the hall, flat screen televisions, tea and coffee making facillities and wireless internet connection as standard. The rooms are cleaned daily to ensure standards are kept high. The bar has more recently been upgraded and offers a warm welcome for evening drinks and freshly cooked meals. The Windmill also has an relaxing, sunny beer garden and off street parking.

After some confusion at reception,

After some confusion at reception, when we were allocated three single beds, rather than double and a single, the room was a pleasant surprise. It had the biggest bathroom I have ever experienced in a London hotel, with a large bath and shower. The bed was comfortable, although the window in the room was an old, wooden affair that took a bit of shifting. Breakfast was basic but adequate. It is a short walk from Finsbury Park tube station on the Victoria Line. Overall, pretty good value for £85 mid-week.

Smart Hotel near Primrose Hill

Two bus routes connect quickly to the tube, with the closest station being Chalk Farm, though Swiss Cottage Station is also nearby. The hotel attracts a lot of bus tour groups, and the bar was sometimes a lively mix of customers in the evenings. Breakfast buffet is an option, and my room had tea-making facilities. Good bed, tiny shower and toilet room. Not especially quiet rooms, though comfortable. Would stay again.

"Hotelli" olikin tilava kerrostalokolmio, mikä sopi erittäin hyvin lapsiperheelle. Hankalaa oli käydä hakemassa huoneiston avain iltamyöhällä toimistosta parin kilometrin päästä. Lukon avaamiseen tarvittiin naapuriapua. Itse huoneisto oli mukava ja hyvin varustettu. Kylpyhuoneessa mahdollinen homeongelma.

Great value in a convenient location!

I stayed here in October 2012 and was impressed with the friendly staff and the quality of the apartment, which included a living room, bedroom, small kitchen, and bathroom. Plus free Internet, which was relatively fast and reliable. It was a much better deal than almost all the other hotels in the area. Great for families or couples. Plus you are a short walk from the Bakerloo line and three stops from Paddington Station (Heathrow Express). I gave it four stars because I reserve five for super top-end places like the Parkhotel Vitznau etc. I would definitely stay here again when coming to London!

1st visit to London

This was my family's first vist to London, we arrivied at the hotel at 10 30....when check in is at 3...but they seen how tired we were from 14 hrs of traveling and was able to but us in a room rite away.. The room is wonderful!! Top of the line every thing...I was a lil worried since London has so many visitors...I didn't know how well the room and the furniture would be kept up...but every thing was clean and sleek. The lil balcony was perfect to see the views and to let fresh air in...which u usually don't get in a hotel room...the washer dyer combo took a ll awhile to figure out but it beats paying dry cleaners. What was the icing on the cake was that they had a lil mini market to building up..and 8 restaurant to chose from on the very same street...also the underground is only 2 blks up...which works out great, when don't get back from all the touring Round until 10 30 p.m...and need to stop to get a lil snack.... I was a lil worried when I looked at a city map and saw that it was a lil out from the center of the city..but with the underground you only have to ride 5 more stops which takes 15 minutes..and it was nice to get away from the crazy London traffic...I.m differently coming back to this hotel, when I come back next year with my girlfriends....the only complaint is the shower...it's a bit steep getting in and out but it does include a deep tub,that's why...but for a elderly person...it would be a bit dangerous..

Für einen Kurztrip bestens geeignetes Hotel

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Busse und Tube schnell erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind klein aber fein. Der einzige Nachteil: Man kann die Fenster nicht öffnen und muss die ganze Zeite die Klimaanlage anlassen, sonst wird es zu heiß. Frühstück ist ok, und das Personal auch sehr nett.

Fine for somewhere to sleep

Hotel is clean and room was modern and clean. Shower was lovely; great pressure and had a large rain shower head as well as a handheld one. I paid £235 (€290) for a Friday and Saturday night stay in an executive room. I didn't book through the hotel website. Had I booked through the hotel website it would have cost £358. £235 was around the right price, I would have felt severely ripped off paying £358. Also worth noting that even though I paid in advance through the discount website I used they need a £50 deposit on arrival. It's fair enough as it covers them for phone and room service etc. but it's not mentioned anywhere before you arrive and is a bit of a surprise (the people in front of me checking in were very annoyed about it). I think that it should be stated clearly on your itinerary. It may be included in the hotel policies and yes I did tick the box that said "I have read and agree to the hotel policies" but like a lot of people I didn't read them. They do mention on other review sites that some of the rooms have no windows - I imagine that's a little depressing. The people in front of me checking in had got one of those rooms and were not happy. I got a room with a window but the window is only for light and you can't open it to let fresh air in. The hotel is very hot. It does have air-conditioning which works very well. The problem was that the lights and air-conditioning only work when the room key is inserted in a receiver near the door. So when you leave the room it doesn't work - each time I came back to the room it was stifling. Breakfast was a joke. Some sliced pan to put in one of those rotating toasters, 3 plates with some measly bits of salami and processed chicken, some cereal and fruit. It looks very mean when you go to the dining room and there's nothing particularly tasty. In summary: it's perfect for a weekend away when things outside the hotel are more important. I'd go back.

très bon hôtel nous sommes arrivé avant 14h00 pas de problème pour la prise de la chambre et le jour de notre départ l'hôtel a gardé nos baguages toute la matinée le temps de faire un dernier tour des boutiques. chambre familiale propre et très bien équipée. petit déjeuner copieux choix varié au buffet personnel agréable très bonne situation proche station de métro °camdem town " moins de 5 min à pied quartier dynamique restaurations à proximité de l’hôtel

A comfortable place to stay

It was nice having a clean comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day. The staff was helpful and friendly and answered any questions I had. It's in walking distance of the tube station and a short train ride from major attractions. Tesco's is a block away which was nice. Will stay here again when we get back to London.

Perfect Hotel in London

This is a really nice hotel in london. camden market is very near (5 minutes walking distance). in front of the hotel is the underground-station chalk farm. the rooms are clean, staff is friendly and there is a nice restaurant in the same building with nice coffee and breakfast. And.. the price is good as well :) Enjoy!

stayed there the night that I went to see a gig at the Roundhouse - and for that the location literally just across the road is absolutely unbeatable. It's also good for the Camden markets hustle and bustle, and the underground station round the corner links the place to the rest of London. It's a cheap deal for London - and you get what you pay for in this context, i.e. not much beyond a place to crash safely. Internet didn't work, facilities are sparse (but just about sufficient), the room small and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. But OK for a night or two if you don't mind making do with just basic comfort.

Nice little Hotel

I was there for 4 days in a single room and it was everything ok. The room is big enough for 2 and was cleaned every day. Breakfast was nothing special, buffet with bread and nutricions, cheese and ham. Next tube station is about 10 mins but bus station is very near. Was worth staying in Corner House Hotel.

Wir waren 4 Nächte im Corner House Hotel und sind recht zufrieden gewesen. Die Zimmer waren sauber, groß genug für ein langes Wochenende. Es wurden jeden Tag neue Handtücher gebracht und das Personal war sehr nett. Im Zimmer gab es einen Wasserkocher mit Instant-Kaffe und Teebeuteln, super. Ein TV und Haartrockner waren auch vorhanden. W-lan hat super funktioniert. Das Frühstück war sehr mager, aber wir haben auch nicht zu viel erwartet, da es ein Continental Frühstück war. Da das Hotel direkt in Camden ist, ist immer was los und man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel und können es weiterempfehlen.

It is not close to Downtown London, but is about 3 blocks from a subway and regional rail station that go right to Heatrow and downtown. It is buried in a residential area and was somewhat difficult to find. It is located next to a large park that is good for walking or evening runs. The room was a standard European room that was small but adequate for one night. They are strict about the check-in time if you are arriving in the morning after an international flight.

Excellent choice for Finchley road area

We wanted a hotel in the Finchley Road part of London (so that we could visit family in that area). My wife and I picked the Langorf over the Holiday Inn (too expensive) and the Quality Inn (uncertain quality) that are in the same general area. The Langorf is an old residential home converted into a Hotel, yet it features nice sized rooms w/attached bathrooms, good water pressure, in-room coffee, TV). The room was a comfortable size for the two of us, and the staff do a great job in keeping it clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite (as the Hotel is a block or two away from the traffic of busy Finchley Road). Breakfast was very satisfactory (standard continental, but good, fresh selections). The Hotel includes a lift so we could get out luggage to our rooms without too much trouble (we were in room 307), but we did have to haul them up the four or so steps in front of the Hotel. I recommend this place as a good value for this location. The Finchley Road tube station is 5 mins away, the O2 Center (with movies, restaurants, stores) is 3 mins away.

A different but good location, quite near the Swiss Cottage tube station on the Jubilee Line, but on a quiet street. At two stops north of Baker Street, it's as easy to get to central London as from, say, Earl's Court. Adequate restaurants and services nearby on Finchley Road. My single room (and another I saw) were a little larger and more interesting than the minimal ones at some English hotels. Pleasant and helpful staff behind the desk. Only real drawbacks were a) the lift was broken all week and b) breakfast was not included, and was pricey for a buffet (more reasonable for an English breakfast). I got breakfast at the Dell'Aziz by the library (organic sort of place -- try the muesli and yogurt) and the Cafe Caesar on Finchley Road.

chambre no 1 en sous sol, fenetre à guillotine (effectivement à guillotine) donnant sur un mur donc pas de soleil, humide meme en été, douche impossible a regler, eau bouillante ou trop froide et en plus la porte de la douche qui se detache et me tombe dessus,pas de penderie,pas de tablette dans la salle de bain,le prix ne justifie pas les prestations presentées, bref je n'y retournerai pas, à éviter

j'avais reserv une chambre pour trois personnes et nous nous sommes retrouvs dans un studio trs sommairement meubl sans mme un miroir pour se raser, ni table de nuit, ni lampe de chevet, une tlvision perche sur un conglateur dans un coin o il n'tait pas possible de la regarder , une chaise pour trois , pas de rideau , un lave-main de WC en guise de lavabo une cl pour trois, des petit-djeuners indignes en qualit et en quantit de l'Angleterre etc, etc...

Cet hotel est bon marché, il se situe au nord de londres ( Turnpike lane) à 15mn de la gare St Pancras. Le personnel est accueuillant, une des dames parle parfaitement le francais. Le prix est raisonable et le confort aussi. Bon rapport qualité & prix. A recommander pour des touristes à faible budget.
