The Melia White is a wonderful accommondation in London. The white down comforter and traditional decor made us feel as though we were in our own comfortable home. We had stayed in other places in the immediate area when visiting our family twice a year. There is no comparision, the Melia White has style and comfort in a convienient location.

In London for weekend to attend Raindance Film Festival with my teenage son. Room was large, clean, well-appointed. Hotel was easy walk from Regents Park tube stop. After arriving exhausted from overnight flight, staff was willing to change room so we could get in room early, shower, nap before starting day. Doorman rescued us upon departure when we discovered tube on strike and cabs were hard to come by!

This was my 5th stay at the Thistle Marble Arch.
I have alway's had an excellent experience when staying there. The staff is great. Alway's an easy check in & out. I have not done the breakfast so I can not comment on the times or quality. The hotel does
reference the best and worst times to try and get breakfast. All of the staff that I have interactived with
have been very atttenive and polite. I give them 4 stars.

Luxury in a Superb Location

This was our second stay in this small, luxury hotel. We received quite a discount with the air/hotel package. This hotel is in Mayfair, about a ten minute walk to Buckingham Palace and the same, or less, to the Green Park tube station, which is on the Picadilly line. This makes for an inexpensive ride from Heathrow, with no train changes. The room was small but elegantly furnished with a comfortable bed, desk and armchair. The armoire held an electric tea kettle and a lovely china tea set. The staff is amazingly attentive and friendly. On our first stay, we had a package that included the buffet breakfast in their gorgeous restaurant. It is the best buffet breakfast I've ever had in a hotel, with sliced meats, croissants, fruit salad, yogurt, big loaves of fresh bread, several pitchers of various juices, etc. Our second visit did not include the buffet and we had one lovely breakfast at Sofra, in Shepard's Market, just around the corner and simpler fare at the Crush juice bar and Pret-a-Manger nearby.Twice we bought a take-away breakfast and ate it sitting on a bench in Green Park, just half a block from the hotel. The only negative I can come up with is that the mini fridge was only cool, not cold, and had no temperature control that I could find. There are certainly less expensive options in London, but the Flemings Mayfair is a lovely hotel with a great location.

I've stayed at this hotel many times and each time feel glad I did.
Its location is exceptional. Rates and service on a relative basis are very good.
Its just around the corner from Shepard's market for a quick meal and a short walk to the Greenpark subway.
In my view, its perfect both for a business stay or if you are a tourist.

Early check-in was available after a transatlantic flight - so this was much appreciated. Rooms are modern and quiet and housekeeping polite and helpful (as indeed were all the hotel staff).
The location is difficult to beat! No hesitation in recommending this hotel and we will be staying there again next time we visit London.

The Landmark is a nice hotel. The hotel's back entrance is directly across from the Marylebone tube/rail station, very convenient. There is a doorman at both the front and back entrances. It's very easy to get around London riding the tube/rail. Taxi will cost about 65 GBP each way getting from and to the Heathrow airport (around $200 USD round trip).

Expensive extras, lovely hotel

We really enjoyed the hotel, but were blown over by the extra costs involved in staying at this hotel. A continental breakfast was equal to $40.00 US - seems a bit much for coffee, fruit, and breads. There was an hourly usage charge for the gym equal to @ $18.00US, and a daily wireless charge of @ $30.00 US for each 24hr period, even if you only went on line for 10 min.
However is was wonderful having the Tube at your backdoor, good restaurants in the area, lovely rooms, and very helpful staff.

A good place to stay and within easy underground link to most mainline rail stations. The food was good though we did have a few issues with the heating of some items of the buffet breakfast. Staff were attentive and courteous and happy to help.

I was a little concerned based on some of the earlier comments, but I was very impressed. The room was bright, clean and very comfortable. I was facing the train yard rather than the front so it was very very quiet.Beware of the breakfast line. [...]It looked GREAT, but there was a long line on Sunday morning so I went elsewhere.I travel alot to Canterbury so I will definitely stay here again to catch an early train

St Ermins hotel in London is a gem. My wife and I stayed there sept 3rd thru the 6th 2011 and had a great time. First, the location is perfect. 10 minute walk to big ben, and west minster abbey. 10 minute walk the other direction to Buckingham palace. Right next to st james tube which is really easy to use! we went to wimbledon nonstop on the tube. It was great! The concierge Juan is awesome! He goes way out of his way to help you, get you tickets, maps, directions, etc. The restaurant is very nice as well. We only ate there once because we wanted to try all the different places, but on a sunday night at 9pm its nice to have such a nice restaurant as a back up. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone going to London. Very clean, safe (right next to Scotland yard), and a very friendly staff. Excellent!

I've stayed at other hotels in Kensington, but I think Baileys is the best yet for me at my price point. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room and amenities were great, and the bar & restaurant were good - not too busy, but not too quiet either. The location is great, just beside Gloucester Rd tube station, with easy walk to museums, cafes, restaurants etc. It'll be my first choice when I go back.

My wife and I have stayed at the Millennium Bailey for three years in a row now. It is a well-run establishment, the staff is well-trained and very courteous, friendly and helpful.
Judy and I got spoiled last year, somehow getting a corner room which afforded a nice view of a very pleasant intersection. We liked that better than this year's accommodations for sure.
We were offered an upgrade for 60 pounds more per night, but we thought that price was a bit excessive and declined it. Perhaps we should have accepted it.
No complaints from this source! The food was fine, the bar area was clean and well-staffed and the counter staff was professional at all times. The MB has one HUGE advantage over other venues: right across the street is the Gloucester Road tube station, which makes it almost perfectly accessible from all parts of London.

Superb location in the heart of Knightsbridge, and an easy Tube ride to many major attractions. The room was "English small" but good value for the price and location, and very clean. The buffet breakfast was convenient and perfectly adequate. The staff were always polite and helpful. The Pds 5/hour internet access charge was probably not expensive by London standards, but still a little annoying. I left my cell phone and sports watch behind in a bedside table when I checked out, but was told by reception staff after calling back later they had not been found, despite the room having remained unoccupied since I had left. I have written to the Hotel Manager about this. Someone must have removed the items.

For walkers and museum buffs, this place is ideally located and pretty good for the price. There are a few places to eat nearby that don't cost an arm an a leg (but most of them do...).
Some rooms are completely renovated and some are only mostly renovated (i.e. no A/C) -- so 5 stars for room comfort for a room with A/C, 3 otherwise. Carpeted rooms and hallways mask ambient noise so you can get a good night's sleep.
Hotel breakfast is also quite decent.

Smallish hotel in a great location. Recently refurbished with top notch furnishing including the bath and bed. Rooms are small, typical for London, but adequate for pleasure trip where little time is spent in your room. Close to restaurants, pubs, tube station, banks and short walking distance to many famous London attractions. A little pricy for what you get, but exchange rate has to be considered.
I would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay there again on my next trip to London.

A small room, but very clean and has ammenities like wireless and cable. It took a little time to find the electrical outlets and ethernet port, but eventually I found them (above the coffee maker!).
The bathroom is small and I'd imagine the shower would be difficult for large people, but average folk will find the phonebooth like experience OK.

Good Location, Close to Russel Park Metro Station

The hotel is very pretty from the outside and has a very pretty, small courtyard in the back. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom is EXTREMELY small (think Airline Bathroom) and the shower is the smallest shower I have ever seen. I was traveling with one of my daughter's. It's a good thing my husband wasn't with us, as he wouldn't have fit in the shower.
The location was good and was a 5 minute walk to the Russell Park metro station.
The Room was clean.

Very pleased. Just one night at the theatre but I will be back and use for the occasional short business trips I make to London. For onger than 3 nights I do prefer an apartment though.

If you want to stay at a great location within the center of London and don’t mind a small room this is the place to be. Service was excellent and staff was eager to please. Within walking distance to Natural History, Science and Victoria and Albert’s Museum. Great pubs and restaurants close to the hotel. If you enjoy Indian food, a visit to the nearby “Thali Restaurant” is a must. The only drawback is the size of the rooms. But who needs a big room when you’re in such a marvelous city. Highly recommended.
