Nice Minus

Well-located and reasonably priced. Not a 5 Star property. Stayed here for 5 days, and they didn't bring in another shower cap or bar of soap until we requested one after three days. The first 10 tv channels didn't work for 2+ days. Wi Fi was free in the lobby but required repeated requests for a password which changed every hour or so. Bathrooms were very modern and attractive while hallway carpets were tattered. Major deficit was no luggage rack. No air conditioning but room cooled with the window open. Bed was comfortable. Small exercise room with adequate equipment. On site free washers and dryers. Neighborhood restaurants were varied and some were excellent. A ten minute walk from the high-toned George Street shopping district.
Altogether, a nice and reasonable priced hotel, but not as luxurious as one might have expected with a 5 star rating.

Great city center location!

My daughter and I spent 1 night at this hotel. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the historical center of the city. All the attractions are walking distance. Very quiet. We were there on a Saturday night and the city can get a little rowdy, we did not hear a thing. The entire place is spotless, beautifully decorated, very calming and relaxing atmosphere. Staff is always available and helpful. Our room (304) had a little kitchen area which could come handy if you plan on staying for a few days. THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE A PARKING. If you have a car, you will need to go and park it about 1/2 mile and walk . This is not in the hotel description and we found out the hard way. Overall a very good hotel if you do not have a car.

We visited with our nephew at Edinburgh University recently and stayed 3 nights at the Rad Blu. Truly a great location for the old town, the castle, the train station and of course the university.
Hotel lounge is spacious, comfortable, a good place to sit and plan the day.
Hotel was clean, staff friendly, and the breakfast was ample. What more do you need for short visit!

Great Location

Had to spend the first night at another hotel d/t overbooking- all arrangements were made by Princes Street Suites personel. When I finally got to check into hotel the next day, they did upgrade me to a very large suite, which was more than expected. Everything was nice, except the floors were dirty and the beds weren't the most comfortable I've slept on. They are fairly new, so maybe a few wrinkles to iron out yet? You cannot beat the location for train station access, bus access, and a very short walk to either old town or new town. I would reccommend this hotel, just call or email before hand to verify that you will have a room.

This was a one week research trip to Edinburgh. The room was spacious and comfortable. While we received an exceptionally good deal-possibly the best in Edinburgh-there were definitely some rough edges. The towel service came when it wanted and not every day, some of the furniture was in bad shape and was fairly flimsy. Still, we had a large, modern room. This is clearly a budget hotel that doesn't look like other budget hotels.

I LOVED this hotel. The staff were all young, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location was literally in the dead center of the historic district with great views. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable with a great tv and dvd player.
I can't recommend this fun place enough-you should stay here. The only reasons it might not be perfect for everyone is there is no mini fridge or hair dryer and all rooms are up at least two long flights of stairs with no elevator.

The staff were very helpful and although I arrived early they very kindly allowed my wife and myself to go to our room even carrying our cases to the top floor.
This hotel is very central for sight seeing and well situated for eating and drinking. I will most certainly use it again.

This hotel is reasonably priced for its location. The room has a comfortable bed and a very powerful shower.
However the rrom wasn't the cleanest with a nice disgarded tisue under the radiator, and its fairly run down but for the price I suppose one can't really complain.
People must be aware that the hotel is attached to a lively pub, which come a Friday and Saturday night gets very loud! Perfect if your a party person not so if you like an early nights!
