Not only was the hotel all that I had heard about it, but it was more, the Asian restaurant was fabulous and the service and food wonderful, I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody that is flying out early to anywhere to stay here, you will go to your flight refreshed and ready to face the day

Three of us stayed at this hotel for only a few hours, but the rest was peaceful, the staff was friendly and it was only 5-10 minute drive from Gatwick airport. It was convenient for a quick stay after arriving at Gatwick late at night.

the hotel was extremely run-down. The renovations were in process, but even so, the building had an unkept feel and unsafe feel as well. Our room was located on the 2nd floor way in the back. Walking to it didn't even feel safe - and the hallway lights weren't even on. Once in the room the carpet was threadbear and the curtains were stained and dirty. The wood frame of the windows was rotted through, so air and other things or critters could get in the room. The sheets were clean - but that is the only thing that I can say felt clean about the room or the hotel. when I asked the hotel clerk if this was a safe hotel - he just laughed and said I think so. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL.

Description
Leave the M23 Junction 10 and follow signs for Crawley on the A264. At the first roundabout (with the hotel on your left hand side) take the third exit (A264) for Langley Green. At the 2nd roundabout take the fourth exit (A23/Gatwick). Continue then through three sets of traffic lights and straight over the third roundabout.
At the 4th roundabout, called Lowfield Heath, exit direction Lowfield Heath and Charlwood. The Travelodge is at the next mini roundabout.
Directions from Gatwick Airport: follow signs for A23, you will see an Esso garage on the slip road. At the next large roundabout make a complete U-turn so that you exit on the A23 southbound towards Horsham. Continue across next roundabout and turn right at the following roundabout. Travelodge is on the right. The drive takes approximately 5 mins off peak and 10 mins at rush hour.

We needed an hotel close to Gatwick airport to catch an early morning flight. Shuttle service was not available, however the person at the front desk mentioned to us that the hotel has an agreement with a taxi service (10 pounds for a single travel, which is a good price considering how expensive cabs usually are). Staff was very friendly and helped us to get our taxi on time.

One of the benefits of Cottesmore is we have 2 Courses. the Griffin and the Phoenix Course as well as a Health Club which has a 15 meter swimming sauna spa steam room gym and 2 outdoor tennis courts.
