breakfast is good but not included with resevation, AC well, staff are nice , outside area no green area & bad parking with sand area & alot of dust, it is a new hotel,near to the sea view,

My wife & I stayed at this Hotel for ~ four days in November 2010 at reasanable price. We were surprised to find a 19 inch old style box TV in our room that had poor reception, flickering sound, and bad picture. We called the reception and repeated the problem three times to three various staff. We spoke fluent Arabic and/or English languages to Hotel staff as appropriate so Hotel staff understand the problem at hand. We requested a plasma TV (if possible) with bigger & clear picture as it s the only entertainment for us in the room. We were not able to see the TV clearly from our bed because of the TV size. My wife eyes were tearing due to poor and shaky TV picture. Management staff called to let us know that we can upgrade the room to a business class with a Plasma TV but we have to pay almost double the daily rate. We took that as an insult to our intelligent. We then talked to the Manager and repeated the problem of having a poor TV receptions and picture quality TV. He said he will call back and ended up sending a technician with another same type TV with same problem. It appears that all old 19 inch TV's had same problems. We gave up on pursuing the TV issue problem as we figured we are wasting our time. Hotel Management and staf knew what the problem is but don't want to do anything about it without extracting more money. No one even bothered to follow up with our request and problem not even an oppologize or even make a courtasy move to make up for the problem we had to live with. We think the current hotel managment leadrship is out of touch with it's customers. The problem is not only the poor TV size, type, and reception but how Hotel managment dealt with such a problem. At this time this hotel should be 4 star hotel and not a 5 star hotel. Finally, we must state that the swimming pools were nice. Room cleaning was inconsistence and incomplete as they leave you a water bottle to drink and tooth paste one day and skipp it on other days.

We had a really bad experience at this hotel and checked out within 24 hours. The rooms were filthy, antiquated and reeked of cigarette smoke. The food was very poor - either a buffet or burgers and chips in the cafe. Beach and swim pool was very nice but half of the water sport activities offered were not really available. The hotel does not advertise or make it clear that it is a dry hotel i..e. no alcohol

The staff were willing to help, but there were times when English affected communication. The lift broke down, but staff allowed guests to use the service elevator, and repairs were made fairly quickly. There was a great service and range of food at breakfast.

it was a disaster the hotel valet wrecked my car and i had to use my vacation money to repair the rental car

The location is awful- in the middle of a rundown neighborhood. Most of the Hotel staff are unfriendly, specially the guys at the restaurent (breakfast.) No welcoming and warm attitude and sometimes you wonder if the managment ever provides any training to its employees- on guest services. It felt that the managemnt was running a boiler operation of generating cash and disregards anything else. Not ideal for business travellers. They charge absurd amounts for internet access that is so slow-512K speed- so slow.) Will not recommend for anyone other tahn someone who islooking for couple of nights good sleep at a relatively good price in teh Emirates (everything is expensive here compared to the west.)

It took my wife and I a bit of time to convince the person behind the counter that we had booked a room through Orbitz. They finally found the booking and then had a guy go up and turn on the AC. When we got there, we found that it was a cramped up room that smelled like sweat and cigarettes. There were no towels; just a box of napkins! The water was barely coming in the shower. There was a bunch of buttons on the bedstand that apparently had no functionality. Worst of all, we opened the window only to find that we were looking into someone elses room in the building next door. Not being able to stand the room, we went out to eat (far far away since there are no good restaurants nearby). When we came back we were startled by the light and fan turning on and off by themselves (not joking, I'm completely serious!) So, believe it or not, we checked out that same night and went to a relatives to spend the night.

The building in the Emirates is lagging horribly behind the massive building...and grid lock traffic has resulted. The trip from Dubai Airport took 1 hour 15 minutes. The resort is old (approximately 30 years) and dated, although well maintained.

I liked the hotel very much i really enjoyed my vacation. The employees were very helpful the service was great, i will recommend this hotel to my friends. I am looking forward for another vacation next Year.
