Freindly clean and well equipped with small rooftop pool area and great views of Burj and Atlantis. Swapped rooms from a Double to 2 x 3/4s with no hassle. 200 yds fro excellent Metro line station and easy walk to Dubai Mall and the snowdome. Good choice of restaurants and a sports bar but drinks as everywhere are expensive. This hotel is excellent VFM and is well above what was expected.

Everything was nice and close to the location I needed. I could not communicate with them over the phone or email to schedule a shuttle but this was solved and was made up in all the other accommodations.

Was here for the area's largest trade show of the year, so the hotel was pretty booked. But the staff was friendly, although service was slow due to the hotel being full. Regardless, food at all (3) of the hotel's restaurants was GREAT! Even room service food was quite delicious served warm and servers were friendly. Stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was very clean, very roomy and had an excellent view of the city. The bar at the penthouse level was excellent. Make sure [...] is your bar tender...he is one of funnest and friendliest I've met in the area. Only thing I would have to complain about is that the water would get cold every once in a while while I was showering. Other than that the hotel is ideally situated; not far from the convention center and minutes from all the major malls and sites. Will definitely stay there on my next trip whether it be business OR pleasure.

Villa Rotana has a great situation just across from the Business Bay metro station. It's well placed for Jumeira Beach and for getting to both Deira and the Marina/Palm. Breakfasts are superb with a great choice. But the best thing about the hotel is its staff - everyone was just so friendly and helpful. Really great value.

Ask my wife and daughters - I'm very picky about my bed, pillows and quiet. I like soft beds (Westin Heavenly style is perfect), soft pillows, and perfect quiet. The Rotana fulfilled all these wishes and I slept like a baby. Very large room too - easily accomodated a cot for our teen daughter. Interior decor was a bit ultra for us 50-somethings - finished concrete counter, Jetson's style couch and chair; a bit dark; but good HD TV. Continental breakfast selection was the best - and widest selection - of 3 hotels we stayed in this trip - excellent service too. Hotel is centrally located for $10-20 cab rides to Deira district (old town; fun area to walk about) and other attractions. However, it's not a pedestrian friendly area just yet; too much construction in the immediate area and no good sidewalks. However, for comfort, quiet and a good meal to start the day, this hotel exceeded my picky expectations. Thanks Rotana! P.S. By comparison, the beds at Hyatt Regency were way too hard.

I recently spent the night at the Crowne Plaza between flights. The check in staff was courteous and efficient, the room was clean, comfortable, and most important, quiet. A short 15 minutes from the Dubai airport this is a good place for a quick layover.

The hotel has a nice, business-like feel. In most places it would be the lap of luxury, but Dubai is the land of ridiculous extravagance so it comes off as rather ordinary by comparison. The rooms are European style (Chic but small). The bar on the lobby level has nice entertainment each night and the location is pretty central. However, because of the lack of walkways to and from the hotel, you will need to take a cab to get anywhere you want to go.

The IBIS is connected to the exhibit halls at the world trade center. central for work there. You really need to take a taxi to get anywhere lively, such as to the Dubai Mall. Their restaurant is pasta with huge portions and good food. Menu is the same for lunch/dinner. The internet costs 100AED - about $30/day - seems like a ripoff! The overall feeling is actually somewhat isolated and sterile. But when the rates are low, seems like a good deal. Room average sized. Fantastic service.

I have had the privilege of being a guest at the Rose Rayhaan on both of my visits to Dubai. Both stays have been an equally rewarding experience. When you walk in the lobby you are greeted by a poised staff that already have all the information distinctive to your reservation. The lobby is very clean and orderly and lacks that distasteful, unnecessarily gaudy decor that one usually will find in modern day 4-5 star boutique hotels that boost nothing about the actual quality of a guest's stay. The hotel has 6-7 different room styles, each one better than the next, but the room a guest reserves is dependent upon how much a guest is willing to pay. I choose a Classic King and a Premium king room. I walked in and everything was laid out for me and easily accessible, including the internet cable and various hotel literature. The fully functional kitchenette is an excellent add-on as it comes with a mini-bar and appliances for me to cook my own meals. I usually just ordered room service as I was very impressed by the hospitality shown. The bathrooms came stock with all the items I needed for hygiene, including towels and 2 nice robes, a deep tub and a toilet that flushed me!!!!!( u know those toilets that clean your bottom). There is a very nice walk-in closet, stock with hangers, and all the other dress racks that a business traveler like myself would need. The hotel offers dry cleaning and other laundry services, all I had to do is have it laid out for housekeeping. The room service offer great choice of international dishes 24/7 at reasonable prices, however I have had better. The location of the hotel is great as it is right across the street from the DIFC metro rail station and one stop away from the Dubai Mall. You could also get a cab anytime of day, as with anywhere else in Dubai. The only noise I heard was the traffic on the very lively Sheik Zayed Road,. Overall, this hotel is an excellent option for the business traveler and tourist(s) who just want a very clean, modern, welcoming and convenient hotel to stay in.

The hotel was a really impressive building, with very professional & courteous staff. There were plenty of fast and wonderfully-designed lifts. We were right near the Financial Centre Metro stop which we took full advantage of.
The rooms were large and lovely with plenty of storage and space. The kitchenette facility was useful with the sink, microwave, fridge & kettle, but as there were no cutlery or crockery provided it was limited unless you went out and bought your own, which we did. This was important for us, as it was Ramadan, so one wasn't able to eat in public during daylight hours and had to rely on the hotel room facilities. Cleaning was good apart from under the beds!
The bathroom was great and I liked the "green" heat-your-own-hot-water idea, but the tank didn't hold enough for a bath, so we could only shower, which was a disappointment due to the wonderful triangular tub!
The satellite TV only had 3 channels we could watch in English, so that wasn't quite up to expectations.
The gym, pool area & changing rooms with showers, sauna, steam-room & jaccuzzi were excellent, and also noteworthy was the full-time lifeguard and lovely staff. It'll be great when the rest of the promised facilities like pool café and beauty salon open.
The restaurant looked really nice, but although there was a large international mixed buffet dinner, we were disappointed - for me with various food allergies there wasn't that much I could eat, and we didn't feel it was worth the money. Likewise with the breakfast; for a wheat-intolerant person there was nothing available. It is an alcohol-free hotel.
We stayed on the 39th floor and had a wonderful side view including the Burj Khalifa round to the sea, but the windows were so dirty that all our photos from there are ruined.
We had been told the Hotel had free wifi, before we went, but there was no connection available in the room, although you could use the Hotel ethernet network- again chargeable, but then we couldn't print our return boarding passes! The only option was to use their Business Centre pc's (we are Mac people) and then we spent some of our purchased time waiting for the staff to refill the printer paper, which we had to notify them of.
But these negatives are really only minor niggles: we would thoroughly recommend the hotel, and would/will definitely go back.

Experience, ambiance, and general feel of the hotel is exactly what you would expect from a 5-star rating. They seem to take cleanliness to an artform, their bathrooms are roomy and almost elegant. the rooms are spacious, and ideal for working. they tend to kill you with attention at this hotel, and dubai no longer appears to be the be center of the universe, so therefore, the hotel is quieter than years before. march2011

Moments from the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, and directly accross the street from the DIFC (the Arc de Triomphe-shaped building), the Emirates Towers is a great location to stay while in Dubai. It's also not too far a drive from the Jumeirah/Jebal Ali beach action.
Emirates Towers Hotel is a lovely place to stay, with comfortable rooms and helpful staff.

This place goes beyond comfort......super clean and has all the amenities one wants. Centrally located to all attractions, very spacious and comfortable. The staff was extemely helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again while in Dubai !!!!

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We arrived very early and the staff accomodated this by allowing us to check in slightly earlier. Throughout the stay the staff were very helpful in suggesting tours etc...
The hotel is faultless. Fabulous room, great bars etc...
I would not hesitate to stay at the Monarch again and in fact I've looked into staying here on my next trip although there is no availability :-(. I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Travelled as a couple to Dubai this month, April 2011. We stayed at the Monarch for six nights. We got wi-fi and breakfast included in our package. This hotel is fabulous, service was excellent. Breakfast is brilliant - every taste is catered for. Taxis always outside for any destination. We were told upon check in that building works were going on beside the hotel which made the pool area slightly dusty and noisy. We went one day to the pool which was beautifully decorated but was quite noisy. The beach is a few minutes by taxi and doesn't cost much so we mainly went there to sunbath. The Dubai mall is quite close which has many restaurants plus along the road where the hotel is situated there are lots of restaurants. Overall we had a fantastic trip thanks to the service at the Monarch!

It was a bit confusing to see this hotel listed as 4 or 5 star depending on the site you viewed it on. But it makes sense after staying there: it is very new, clean, upscale. But if you are expecting a 5-star resort, then move on (and pay more). This is a very nice apartment hotel so you get a much larger living area, but you DON'T get all the resort perks (full-on spa, well-rounded concierge, free internet, sleek effortless superior service, great on-site eatery, etc). But you DO get a nicely-appointed, clean apartment with a kitchen. Even if you don't plan to cook, it's nice to have a large refrigerator, sink, eating area, lounging and entertainment space. The bathrooms are a bit small and not luxurious, but well-proportioned and nicely-appointed with bath robes, and personal items.
Everyone on the staff was very courteous, very helpful, and professional. But as a group, they lack that superior training and subtlety that you should receive in a 5-star property.
Location is fine because in Dubai everything is spread out anyway and taxis are cheap (so is the nearby metro).
Restaurant choices nearby are limited (a coupe of large hotels nearby have excellent, if expensive restaurants) and it appears that "The Place" will have its own lobby restaurant soon, too).
For the price and size of room, this is great! Just keep in mind that it is not a resort, it is not near the beach and it ain't 5-stars.

Sehr schönes und Klasse Hotel, wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, da wir etwas zu früh ankammen, wurde unser Standartzimmer kostenlos auf Suite upgradet.

The hotel is located within walking distance to a beautiful shopping mall and Metro (subway) station. Hotel has a good size swimming pool on 7th floor and 5 restaurant on ground floor, all types of food are available at these restaurants.
Hotel staff is very friendly and accomodative and ready to serve you.
Rooms are clean however bathrooms are little cramped.
