Ibis Mall of The Emirates has excellent location next to the Mall of the Emirates -shopping center, and the Dubai metro. Hotel has good breakfast buffet with a reasonable price, and lots of space in the lobbyarea and on the terrace. Room was clean, shower room only one problem, the floor too flat, so that the shower water was leaking the to the toiletarea. There should be also machines in the lobbyarea to buy water or other beverages - also for snacks. I could stay there another time, no problem.

perfect beach hotel in dubai

We were met by an enthusiastic and happy staff who offered early check in and late check out at no additional cost! They also gave us a free chocolate lovers delight served in a beautiful lounge area of the hotel. We had a sea view and the room was the most efficient room lay out I have ever seen. The bathroom facilities were amazing and the beds were super comfy. We enjoyed the pool and the pool bar, the staff was great and the drinks delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends, it is a great value. We were there on Jan 13 and 14, 2011.

A great new hotel opened in summer 2010. Very plush and sophisticated decor. Fantastic location just off the beach and on the doorstep of a long run of cafes and restaurants.. We never ate in the hotel once. Its all on your doorstep so why pay 5 star prices for food when there is ample good quality food at half the price on the street level.
The rooms have a new 7 layer matress concept in bedding that some will find too soft. This is deliberate but made my back hurt due to lack of support. The rooms state beach view but unless you buy the double priced ones facing directly onto the beach then you will get a deluxe room that has an obscured view of the sea due to the high rise next door.
The room was very nice and had a balcony but there was an overhead hum that could be heard all night and disturbed my sleep. I pulled down the inspection tile in the bathroom to find loads of pipes running above the ceiling that were responsible for this noise.

the hotel is standard, nothing fancy,nothing special. the location is good- being close to a lot of things will save you money on cabs, but its not in the heart of any one place. the best part was the price, it was very good for Dubai - about $100 USD. and considering people usually dont spend much time in their rooms anyway...it was just fine.

was in dubai as a 36 hour stopover trip. the hotel was easy to get to (30 minutes from the airport for 70AED/20USD). easy check in with a great upgrade. nice room had everything i needed and more. beautiful hotel. glad i stayed in a hotel connected to a mall--entertainment at any time of day if you need to fill time (skiing, people watching, and easy to get a quick bite to eat)

Only had an overnight, but would have stayed longer had I known what a perfect place it was. Service was exceptional, and I was overwhelmed to be upgraded to a junior suite. Since I had no time for a city tour, the concierge was able to arrange for a hotel car and driver for a 2-hour look around the city. I will definitely return for a longer stay on my way back to visit family in Sri Lanka.

We visited Dubai for one week to attend a wedding. This hotel gave us everything we needed. Plenty of catering provisions. Excellent in-room dining too. Nice functional pool with plenty of sun loungers. It was very clean, had tasteful decor, excellent house-keeping standards and staff were very attentive and efficient. The outside pool bar was nice for drinks in the evenings. The only thing to let it down was that we were put on a smoking floor and as non-smokers we were affected by the smell of smoke in our room.

My overall experience was good, this is a fairly new hotel, so the only downside, was that even though it is so close to dubai mall , it doesnt look safe to just walk there.. to many undeveloped plots next to the hotel. plus side, transport is cheap and even free through the hotel shuttle bus. Another plus would have been if the outdoor pool was heated. Infinity bar is a nice chillout area.. and the hotel pricing was reasonable, would expect it to rise if the surrounding area gets more developed.

Everything fine about this hotel except limited pool/lounger space.
The only real problem that we experienced was that the travel agent failed to advise the hotel of our booking and we were kept waiting for over an hour while they located an available room. Although not the hotel's fault they sortred the problem by the following morning and we received a free breakfast and a complimentary basket of fruit.

Only complaint is it seemed a bit more exprensive than other hotels, though I think the huge living room and bred room(s) are worth it, and kitchen, if you need the space--I didn't, but if you do, excellent separate tub and super and very comfortable sleek design.

I always enjoy my stay at the Media One Hotel in Dubai. I have been coming to this hotel for a long time now. Every time I fly into Dubai I make the Media One my first destination. The hotel has wonderfully stylish and modern room, with chic furniture and an iPod dock, which I am always in search of, and free wifi. The cafes downstairs have great foods and drink and the rooftop pool has great bar for the night with music. The breakfast is amazing and I always see the promotion for other meals offered at the 18th floor restaurant, but have not yet been to them. Hopefully someday soon!

I enjoyed my three day stay at Media One. The room was perfect with a great view of the beach; the atmosphere was perfect. My only negative was the internet wasn't free. The staff was super professional and very helpful. I will definitely stay at Media One when I return to Dubai.

We booked the Grosvenor House as our base from which to explore Dubai in preparation for a potential move out there and am very glad we chose this hotel. We had heard about the great service in Dubai but were blown away by the exceptional service we received from the staff at this hotel. Our overnight flight meant that we arrived early so we asked if an early check in was possible. Unfortunately it wasn't which was completely understandable and when returning from our walk, we were given a lovely room, bigger than we had expected, a letter of apology and a big bowl of fruit to make up for it which was completely unexpected and wonderful!
Our stay could not have been more comfortable, the staff were all so friendly, not to the point of being over the top but we just really felt welcome in the hotel during our stay; hard to explain how they did it but I would define it as perfect service.
We went for the Tower 2 premier rooms in order to be able to use the lounge and we're so glad we did. We've used lounges before in hotels and this by far was the best. The food was amazing and plentiful, the bar service in the evenings was also fantastic, as was the lounge manager who was so friendly and made us feel so welcome on each visit.
We also used the Royal Meridien facilities which was a big plus.
Buddha Bar was great for drinks and we also enjoyed the Embassy club, so great to have so many options for a night out within one hotel.
Although we are big fans of the Four Seasons chain, our stay at the Grosvenor House really set the standard regarding luxury and in particular excellent, friendly service.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very basic. Only problem was that the in-room safe didn't work. We told front desk staff about it, but by the third day it still wasn't fixed. Other than that, the staff was very attentive and friendly.

The Movenpick is indeed a very new and spotless hotel. We stayed here for 6 nights, and it was a wonderful experience.
It is located in the Jumeriah Beach Resort area and has excellent access to the beach and the large variety of restaurants & shops, all within a couple of minutes walking distance. It is also fairly conveniently located for public transport. There is a non-stop supply of taxi's passing the hotel, and it is only a 10 minute walk (or a 2 minute taxi ride) to 2 local Metro stations, and also Dubai Marina mall.
The hotel itself has a host of amenities which are very well presented and of excellent quality. There is a gym, sauna and steam-room - all of which I used extensively and are inclusive of the room price. If you require massages and treatments these are available at a price.
The room's mini-bar was always well stocked, and the room service menu was extensive - although both were too pricey for our tastes. Upon arrival there are complementary fruits provided and also a constant supply of free bottled water for the duration of your stay.
The staff work hard to ensure you have a pleasant stay, and it really shows. There is also a real emphasis on cleanliness.
My only pet hate, and this goes for quite a few hotels - is the lack of in-room ironing facilities.
Overall 4/5 - It really can't be faulted on location and quality. I feel that we definitely made the right accommodation decision for this holiday.
Highly recommended.

The Tamani Marina Hotel is located on the Marina with lovely views of the bay or the city. Unfortunately, the rooms are not being kept as they have in the past. My family of four had to switch rooms because the first room had food on the carpet. The second room, which was on a non-smoking floor, had been used for smoking and the fire detectors covered with tinfoil. When this was mentioned to the head of maintanence he laughed uncomfortabley. The good aspects of this room are its space, location and the comfort of the beds. I would not stay here again unless I got a very good deal.

"I must say i had doubts about this hotel but i was wrong"
I stayed there for 2 weeks with my family, in a 2 bedroom self catering apartment with a Palm view which was excellent the rooms were clean, tidy and very spacious with all facilities. Great for families.
The hotel had great facilities what you would expect in a 4/5 star hotel.
The staff were very helpful and polite which is brilliant when you have kids of all ages.
The hotel does offer facilities like free trips to the malls and other excellent trips around Dubai.
I will book this hotel again, next time i go to Dubai. Regarding building work it has just finished so it is much quiet.
The AREA: hardly any shops apart from one supermarket which is a minute away, cab's are just outside the hotel, the metro is just £2 by cab from the hotel, takes you to all the major shopping centres we used this most of the time.
Thank you to the team at the Tamani Hotel for making my holiday a memorable experience.

We had no help with our luggage to our rooms. The rooms had no tea facilities, no fridge, no iron. The hotel had confused our booking intially & we were left waiting over an hour in the lobby without any support or even a glass of water. & when the problem was rectified they put my husband and I in a twin bedroom rather than a double room!!!

Nice hotel good price, great price for Dubai. This is the land of 5-star hotels so its nice to have a less expensive option. Drink prices are high as is the internet conection. This property is surounded by currently empty lots, but the Mall of the Emerates is about a mile walk, or $5 cab ride.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at this hotel. We walked to the Mall of the Emirates on two days, the first occasion for shopping and the next one to catch the Big Bus tour of Dubai.
The hotel's location is central, it is quiet and convenient. If you use your laptop in the lobby then you dont have to pay any charge.
The 2 restaurants are good. Staff very helpful.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lage optimal, 5 Minuten Fußweg zur Metrostation und direkt gegenüber der Einkaufsmeile "Mall of the Emirates". Sehenswürdigkeiten waren prima zu erreichen.
Frühstücksbuffet reichlich und schmackhaft, Preis für Frühstück ist gerechtfertigt.
Einziger Minuspunkt: Großer Schmutzfleck am Teppichboden, der leider nicht entfernt wurde und wenig Handtücher, die allerdings auf Wunsch täglich gewechselt wurden.

Slow Motion

I booked two rooms and though arrived at 5 pm, one room was ready and the other took one hour to be ready.The check in and check out procedures were deadly slow. The staff at the counters seem not familiar with the system or not qualified to use it. Everything in the hotel is done on slow motion. You have to transfer between two lifts to reach or get out from the room without clear or justified reasons. The rooms are well designed and furnished.

I had a 2 bedroom suite. The Hotel was good & the suite was very big. The mattress comfort was not as expected. Bathroom also is below than expectations of such suite with such price. I was expecting to have a larger bathroom with shower cabinet, water temp set piece & bath salt.
I liked that hotel and I am planning to book there again for my next stay.
