Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend aber nicht herausragend. Liegt an einer kleinen Gasse - daher auch am morgen kein Autolärm.

Apparence extérieure en bois bordeaux, typiquement istanbuliote. Parties communes toutes neuves, réception accueillante, petit déjeuner turque et copieux, grande chambre très mignonne, idéale pour les couples, avec douche à l'italienne et grand lit confortable, etc. Bref, un immense plaisir de descendre à cet hôtel.

Très bonne adresse pour un séjour à Istanbul à deux pas de la mosquée sokollu mehmet pasa et proche de la mosquée bleue. Hotel dans une rue calme. Personnel aimable et disponible. Vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance.

Service could have been a bit more friendly but it was acceptable. The room was nice, pool was good and the hotel is in a good location. A good price as well. I would stay there on my next trip to Istanbul.

The hotel was nicely appointed at a very fair price in an area in the new district of Istanbul near Taksim Square that had lots of hotels and cafe/restaurants, and was closed off to most vehicular traffic. The rooms were pleasant enough but a little dark given how modern the lobby was. My 87-year-old mother was given a handicapped room whose bathroom was well-equipped for her needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. On the downside, given the number of floors in the hotel, the elevators did not seem to be able to keep up and we often chose to use the stairwell instead even though we were five floors up. Perhaps more importantly, if your goal is to see the sights in the old district (which is what we were focused on), the hotel is a bit out of the way. I suppose that there are trade-offs between price and convenience.

Broken shower!
Even water was dirty and rusty.
Terrible thing to experience!
When I asked to fix my shower they simply said there is nothing they can do!
And stuff using walky talky from 7 a.m. in spite of walls were like paper and you could hear people breathing next room.

Best Staff, Best Location, Beautiful Building, Great Comfort!!

We had the best experience for the two days we spent there. Whole hotel has been very nicely modernized from inside but very tastefully done so that it retains the old mansion feeling. Our room had lots of woodwork that went with the theme of the old city where it's located. The balcony was absolutely fabulous overlooking the stone streets with all the cafe's and shops. You will love the location. Bathrooms are amazing with lots of luxury fittings and granite. We walked to all famous places and never needed a taxi. The staff is the best you would ever find anywhere. They never even expected tips after helping you and were very grateful to receive if you tip them. Don't think of it as a common Best Western that we find here in US while travelling by road. This is "Premier" and is many many class above.

This hotel is very well situated for visiting the main sites of historical, architectural and cultural interest. The staff are friendly and helpful but the amenities are basic. The location is in a working area but this is a plus for anyone who wants a "real" experience of Turkish life.

Call ahead and have them arrange for the airport shuttle, half price of taxi and no great delay. Friendly and eager to help staff, were able to store luggage for early arrival and start our museum hopping and restaurant sampling in Istanbul. Breakfast was simple but adequate and was included to the rather reasonable room price. The only negative was the room size, which was very cramped, bath and shower tiny! However, clean , with free WiFi. The location more than made up for the cramped accommodations, waling distance from Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar. Fun and safe to discover the old city
Would recommend staying, but would consider the deluxe rooms for an additional 30 Euros/day if room comfort is important.

The owners of this small designer hotel just off the Hippodrome have managed to straddle the divide between sleek modernist and antique Ottoman with great success. Parquet floors, crisp white linen, marble bathrooms and gold mirrors make the smallish rooms distinctive, and the building's common areas ooze class. After enjoying the excellent breakfast, guests often have to be encouraged to leave the building - the alternative option of sinking into one of the foyer lounge's leather couches or claiming a chair on the rooftop terrace with its Blue Mosque view is just too tempting. It's worth paying for one of the 12 deluxe rooms as they offer better value than the 12 standard options. From Lonely Planet's Istanbul, 2010 edition. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They are quick in responding to our requests and complaints. The hotel is centrally located and accessible to major historical sites in the old city as well as shopping facilities.

Very clean and nice hotel located in the perfect place. It is very close to the main historical sites but also far enough away to give you some local flavor. Easy to walk to public transportation but if you enjoy a stroll we pretty were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. Very good gym (make sure you get it included your hotel booking, sometimes it is extra), great breakfast every morning, clean and big rooms.

We been Istanbul many times and always stay at small boutique hotels. Agora was the finest we stayed so far which met our expectations. Our room on the hird floor had a perfect view to the Bosphorus. Room has all modern facilities. Location is really good only 5 minutes walk to blue mosque.
We going back in summer to enjoy terrace on the top floor.

Description
Deniz Houses, formerly Deniz Konak Hotel, consisted of 2 buildings located in the guite and central part of Sultanahmet with a walking distance to the city's major highlights. The buildings are only 20 meters away from each other and both contain private ensuite rooms with same type of facilities. All rooms have parquet (hardwood) flooring and showers and are equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning, double glazed windows, mini bar, hair dryer, TV and telephone by your bed side. Some rooms look over The Sea of Marmara and the others over a nice and quite street.
The hotel boasts 27 comfortable, stone-faced rooms on four floors reached by stairs (no elevator/lift).All rooms have lcd-screen plasma television sets (most channels in Turkish, three in English, one in French, one in German), individually-controllable air-conditioning units and peepholes in the doors, a plus for safety-conscious female travelers. The rooms' decent size is another precious asset in this crowded city.
The Deniz Houses cosy rooftop breakfast room looks out towards the Sea of Marmara. Its small open-air terrace has views of the Blue Mosque and the Kk Ayasofya Mosque which is just down the street from the hotel.
The Hotel also provides Concierge, Internet access - Wireless, Laundry service, Non-smoking rooms, Reception, Room service, Safe deposit box and Tour desk

This hotel is located in the heart of Sultanahmet, where all the major historical attractions such as the Blue Mosque are located.
Our room was tiny but comfortable. Breakfast was a meal to look forward to.
Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

My experience here was quite good. The staff was friendly and very helpful in helping you to access the tourist sites in the area. I had a nice seaside room with a balcony, that would have made for great morning/evening relaxation in the warmer months. For 20 Euros, there is a shuttle that will take you to the airport. Three things to consider there is no elevator though again the staff will help you get your bags up the stairs; Wifi did not work in my 2nd floor room but was excellent in the lobby. The ceiling in the bath/shower is low and if you are tall you will either have to take a bath or stoop to take a shower. If I return to Istanbul, I will stay there again.

Sarnic Boutique Hotel was our "home" in Istanbul as we spent seven nights there---long enough to become acquainted with all of the staff. Location is absolutely ideal---10 minutes to the Blue Mosque----great neighborhood with lots to see and do. The hotel staff is terrific and willing to help any way they can. Our room was on the fourth floor of the old part of the hotel so was a bit of a climb(!); shower was dinky but had unlimited hot water with great pressure; air conditioning was great; breakfast was generous (included in room rate); the roof top restaurant was a disappointment. Two restaurants on the street were super---really recommend both.
The location of the Sarnic was perfect; that alone cancels the negatives. Next trip to Istanbul we will ask to be in the new portion of the hotel---what luxury: an elevator!!!!!!

Walking distance to nearly all attractions in Istanbul (we easily walked to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Archetecture and Islamic Art museums, Hippodrome, restaurants... and one of our people has a bad knee). GREAT cistern/art gallery available free. Sweet, helpful staff with an attention to making foreigners comfortable.
We had a room in the "old section" of the hotel and our friends were in the "new section." Our room was roomy and nice, their room was a little smaller but very pretty and "boutique."
Breakfast did have hot dishes (I had read online it didn't) and there is a nice rooftop restaurant and bar with a great view of the Blue Mosque.
This is not a standard business/luxury hotel, but has a taste of local flavor without sacrificing comfort.
We had a wonderful stay.

Hotel assez bien situé en plein coeur du quartier de Sultanhamet. Nous avons fais la plupart des sites à pied et de belles balades en perspective. Beaucoup de restaurants aux alentours. Le personnel y est agréable et respectueux (notamment lors de grâce matinée ;). Le petit déjeuner est quand à lui normal mais pas extraordinaire. Légumes et viennoiseries, rien de bien compliqué ! Attention tout de fois au jus d'orange en poudre et au café mal dosé !! On préférera le thé à la pomme traditionnel redilué (car très fort). Il pourra se prendre en terrasse également avec vue sur le Bosphore et la mosquée Saint Sophie. Les chambres sont confortables, spacieuses et bien insonorisées. Petit plus lors du départ : Nous avons pu laisser nos bagages pour nous promener une dernière fois avant de rejoindre l'aéroport. Un hôtel à recommandé donc ! :)

Très bien, cependant,il m'avait semblé, lors de la commande que le petit déjeuner était inclus dans la prestation que nous avions acheté. Arrivés sur place, nous avons dû constater qu'il n'en était rien et qu'il a fallu payer nos petits déjeuner. Nous vous serions reconnaissants de nous apporter des précisions et éventuellement corriger ce désagrément .

Amazing, Quaint, Intimate Hotel.
This intimate hotel is beautifully designed with open French glass doors, through a cafe leading upwards to a hidden spiral staircase, which brings you to your suite.
Each floor houses 2 suites each, all creating such a warm ambience.
Charming Staff, all extremely proficient in their duties, they all go over and beyond their
call of duty to ensure our stay was the best. They offer extra service whether in assisting with dining recommendations or taking personalised orders for breakfast and or housekeeping requests.
Accommodation: rooms were tastefully and artistically decorated. The bed was comfortable with the perfect set of pillows, all snuggled in soft linen. Trendy styled bathroom.
Breakfast was first class, a delicious choice of fruit, cereals or special hot orders from the chef. Kudos and a special applaud to the waitress, her smiling face radiated such hospitality to the room.
Location, ideal within minutes of walking distance to the main attractions of Istanbul’s beautiful “old city”. (Blue Mosque, Aga Sophia)
We highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone planning a trip to Istanbul’s Old City.
We would most definitely stay at this hotel again.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits agréables au Sirma Sultan. Le personnel est très compétent et parle bien anglais, excellent rapport qualité-prix en passant par le e-pack vol+hôtel. Seul bémol, les chambres sont mal insonorisées, mais bon, on est pas en voyage pour dormir...surtout quand on est à deux pas de la mosquée bleue, basilique ste sophie, palais de topkapi, etc...

Picked the Sirma Sultan because it was the cheapest option. It's nothing special, but we easily could have paid twice what we paid for an identical double room. In a city that sees dorm beds going for 15-20 Euros, a clean, comfortable double room with a private bath for little more than twice that is a great deal.

Arrived early evening on the Friday for the GP. Hotel had no knowledge of our booking (booked 3.5 months ago)[...]. L'hotel est situé au coeur du quartier touristique, au milieu d'innombrables autres hôtels est restaurants... Il est donc bien situé pour les visites touristique mais pas vraiment l'idéal pour les sortie nocturnes... Heureusement les transports fonctionnent très bien et tous est faisable à pied avec un peu de courage... L'hôtel est très propre, la décoration est sobre et moderne, le personnel est quant à lui très accueillant...

This is a simple, comfortable hotel in the heart of the city, within easy reach of the major attractions. (10/07JMG) This is a very modern, mid-rise block with a glass fronted ground floor, looking onto the lobby area. The hotel is situated in Taksim, five minutes walk from Beyoglu, one of the citys most historic districts. The main tourist sights are a short taxi ride away.
