Hatte ein relativ großes Zimmer.
Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend aber nicht herausragend. Liegt an einer kleinen Gasse - daher auch am morgen kein Autolärm.

Apparence extérieure en bois bordeaux, typiquement istanbuliote. Parties communes toutes neuves, réception accueillante, petit déjeuner turque et copieux, grande chambre très mignonne, idéale pour les couples, avec douche à l'italienne et grand lit confortable, etc. Bref, un immense plaisir de descendre à cet hôtel.

Très bonne adresse pour un séjour à Istanbul à deux pas de la mosquée sokollu mehmet pasa et proche de la mosquée bleue. Hotel dans une rue calme. Personnel aimable et disponible. Vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance.

Service could have been a bit more friendly but it was acceptable. The room was nice, pool was good and the hotel is in a good location. A good price as well. I would stay there on my next trip to Istanbul.

The hotel was nicely appointed at a very fair price in an area in the new district of Istanbul near Taksim Square that had lots of hotels and cafe/restaurants, and was closed off to most vehicular traffic. The rooms were pleasant enough but a little dark given how modern the lobby was. My 87-year-old mother was given a handicapped room whose bathroom was well-equipped for her needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. On the downside, given the number of floors in the hotel, the elevators did not seem to be able to keep up and we often chose to use the stairwell instead even though we were five floors up. Perhaps more importantly, if your goal is to see the sights in the old district (which is what we were focused on), the hotel is a bit out of the way. I suppose that there are trade-offs between price and convenience.

Best Staff, Best Location, Beautiful Building, Great Comfort!!

We had the best experience for the two days we spent there. Whole hotel has been very nicely modernized from inside but very tastefully done so that it retains the old mansion feeling. Our room had lots of woodwork that went with the theme of the old city where it's located. The balcony was absolutely fabulous overlooking the stone streets with all the cafe's and shops. You will love the location. Bathrooms are amazing with lots of luxury fittings and granite. We walked to all famous places and never needed a taxi. The staff is the best you would ever find anywhere. They never even expected tips after helping you and were very grateful to receive if you tip them. Don't think of it as a common Best Western that we find here in US while travelling by road. This is "Premier" and is many many class above.

Call ahead and have them arrange for the airport shuttle, half price of taxi and no great delay. Friendly and eager to help staff, were able to store luggage for early arrival and start our museum hopping and restaurant sampling in Istanbul. Breakfast was simple but adequate and was included to the rather reasonable room price. The only negative was the room size, which was very cramped, bath and shower tiny! However, clean , with free WiFi. The location more than made up for the cramped accommodations, waling distance from Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar. Fun and safe to discover the old city
Would recommend staying, but would consider the deluxe rooms for an additional 30 Euros/day if room comfort is important.

Very clean and nice hotel located in the perfect place. It is very close to the main historical sites but also far enough away to give you some local flavor. Easy to walk to public transportation but if you enjoy a stroll we pretty were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. Very good gym (make sure you get it included your hotel booking, sometimes it is extra), great breakfast every morning, clean and big rooms.

We been Istanbul many times and always stay at small boutique hotels. Agora was the finest we stayed so far which met our expectations. Our room on the hird floor had a perfect view to the Bosphorus. Room has all modern facilities. Location is really good only 5 minutes walk to blue mosque.
We going back in summer to enjoy terrace on the top floor.

Sarnic Boutique Hotel was our "home" in Istanbul as we spent seven nights there---long enough to become acquainted with all of the staff. Location is absolutely ideal---10 minutes to the Blue Mosque----great neighborhood with lots to see and do. The hotel staff is terrific and willing to help any way they can. Our room was on the fourth floor of the old part of the hotel so was a bit of a climb(!); shower was dinky but had unlimited hot water with great pressure; air conditioning was great; breakfast was generous (included in room rate); the roof top restaurant was a disappointment. Two restaurants on the street were super---really recommend both.
The location of the Sarnic was perfect; that alone cancels the negatives. Next trip to Istanbul we will ask to be in the new portion of the hotel---what luxury: an elevator!!!!!!

Walking distance to nearly all attractions in Istanbul (we easily walked to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Archetecture and Islamic Art museums, Hippodrome, restaurants... and one of our people has a bad knee). GREAT cistern/art gallery available free. Sweet, helpful staff with an attention to making foreigners comfortable.
We had a room in the "old section" of the hotel and our friends were in the "new section." Our room was roomy and nice, their room was a little smaller but very pretty and "boutique."
Breakfast did have hot dishes (I had read online it didn't) and there is a nice rooftop restaurant and bar with a great view of the Blue Mosque.
This is not a standard business/luxury hotel, but has a taste of local flavor without sacrificing comfort.
We had a wonderful stay.

Perfect location - next to Haggia Sofia.
The 4 ground floor rooms are not shielded from noise from Reception, so it can be noisy late at night (returning guests, Reception calls, etc) and early morning (guests going to breakfast).
Staff are very friendly and courteous.

Pretty quiet neighborhood. I prefer this to the crowded, hipper neighborhood. Great access to public transportation. Really helpful, English speaking staff. Good inexpensive restaurants nearby. Good street food. If you need help with your cell phone, the Turkcell store up the street is really helpful and a couple of the people there speak English.
The two negatives for me were the fact that the Internet never worked on my floor (it was fine downstairs) and it was really smokey. Nobody pays attention to the non-smoking areas. The bar was really bad, but good wine!

beware of the room that you get

We loved the breakfast... the service... the cleanliness of the room. However... we were put on a room that faces a very busy street and it was difficult to sleep a couple of nights due to the noise. Unfortunately... there is no way of telling this at the time of the booking. I just assumed that booking on a 4 star hotel will not have that problem.

Nice clean hotel; friendly, helpful staff and absolutely the most convenient location in the Old City. Hotel front door opens to the west outer wall of the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace is 1 1/2 blocks to the left and the Blue Mosque is 1 1/2 blocks to the right. And the Basilica Cistern is 1 block behind the hotel. Hotel is midway between two tramway stops (Gulhane & Sultanahmet). Numerous restaurants within very, easy walking distance. There is no better location is Istanbul's Old City! Also has cold A/C and free WiFi.

This Hotel has two buildings. One have been updated and the other building is very old. I paid for the upgraded rooms. It was the highest grade to choose from and still got the old rooms. But you can't beat the location of the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good. The restaurant view was great but the food was not as good as the sidewalk cafe's.

Overall experience was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. They made us feel at home.
Area for improvement: Bathrooms can be cleaner. The grout was not cleaned properly. In addition the bathroom shower was broken too.

The Armagrandi Spina is right between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia Museum, within walking distance of the Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, metro, and many other tourist attractions. A great location for seeing the city for the first time. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Breakfast included a nice variety of Mediterranean salads, breads, fruit, cereal, plus eggs and sausage, coffee, tea, juices. Climb stairs to the top floor where there is a deck with a beautiful 360 degree view of the mosque, museum, the Bosphorous, and Sea of Marmara. Accessible to airport by metro 45 mins with one change, or taxi for about 45 Lyra.

The hotel was great and people are friendly. I think it is a true 5-stars hotel in Turkey in terms of services but compare to hotels in the US, it is a 4 stars. Food was great; I just wish they had more choices for the breakfast like more fruits and salads.

Super friendly staff, in the heart of the Old City, very close to Blue Mosque and other attractions.
Great street side cafes. Super roof top bar with view of city. Small but clean rooms, free Wifi, free cont. breakfast. Walking distance to Grand Bazaar. Other than noisy neighbors would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel but location was too far away from the points of interest. Staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and went far above what was necessary to help make the stay amazing. If staying here be prepared to spend between 20-35 TL each time you take a taxi. BEWARE of taxi's without hotel insignias on the doors as most of the taxis without anything on the door are illegal taxis and will charge you 2-4 times more than what is the rate and will often stop somewhere other than your hotel to drop you off and refuse to take you any further. (The hotels will help you fight the overcharge if they drop you off at the hotel so they make an excuse not to go there) Over all this was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again now that I know the ins and outs of Istanbul. Security is very tight at the hotel at all times but doesn't interfere with your freedom to explore the hotel grounds.

The hotel is "no frills" but it has everything you need-I had a twin bed and small bathroom. The best part of the hotel was the rooftop terrace where you have breakfast--great view and decent food.

Tash Konak is a small hotel; don't expect the same conditions as you would from Hilton Hotel for example. But the building itself is a historical one; there is no room for anything else. Rooms are small and old, but the location is definitely rewarding. The staff is very friendly, as most Turks are. Breakfasts are absolutely great. The view from the hotel is almost divine. And if you visit the hotel during warm weather season – you will love the small, romantic garden patio they have. After tree trips to Turkey and experience with at least 7 hotels, Tash Konak is definitely a place we will be back.
