The location of the hotel which is a very short walking distance to Fisherman's Village is great. The facilities are of an expected level and the service was a high standard. Staff remembered our names and our special requests for breakfast.

“Tolles Hotel und sehr schöne Anlage”

Das Hotel ist im Prinzip sehr gut auch wenn es zu teuer ist. Wunderschöne Anlage mit kleinen Häuschen. Direkt am Strand. Das Frühstüksbuffet lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Leider hat auch ein so tolles Hotel ein paar Fehler. Der Strand dirket vor dem Hotel ist bei Ebbe nicht so toll. Aber wenn man ca. 300 Meter nach rechts läuft ist er super toll. Der Pool am Strand ist sehr schön aber hat leider zu viel Chlor drinn. Der Pool in der Gartenanlage ist besser. Das haben Sie noch nicht so im Griff. Die Restaurants sind fast immer leer, was mit den übertäuerten Preise zusammen hängt. Sehr schade ist auch, dass das WiFi kostenpflichtig ist - was eigendlich bei einem Luxushotel nicht der Fall sein sollte.

The hotel was located on the chaweng main road, which ment perfect visinity to shops and clubs. The beach was beautifull and had a nice view of the hills. I enjoyed the pool bar and the fact that there were two swimmingpools. It was very serene and had friendly staff.

The hotel was very clean, lovely facilities including 2 swimming pools, one of which was fresh water which was lovely. On average the staff were very friendly and helpful The breakfast was ok, but you would usually expect more fro a 5* hotel. The rooms had a funny smell that may have been the wood but smelled strange, but the rooms very very comfortable especially the bed, and there was a lovely view.

While we were there we visited the spa, hung out by the pool bar, went snorkeling and kayaking all from the hotel. The staff was SO FRIENDLY. The Spa prices were incredible, specials that included 3 hours of massages, body scrubs, and facials for 2500 Baht - the rooms were clean, comfortable, and with beautiful views. The grounds are well kept and very blended with the trees and ponds.....gorgeous for the price! This is definitely a wonderful mid-range resort that you will love. The pool by the beach is wonderful.

The location is so beautiful words cannot even begin to explain. The best part of it all is that you have your own private villa, with covered porch and lounge chairs, with a comfortable room that is just literally steps away from a private beach. Those steps are taken through beautiful, lush tropical gardens with orchids, palms, and blooming trees that drop thier tropical ferrie dust flowers at your feet winding you through your short path to sea shore. Grab a lounge chair, take a swim in the bay or the pool, have a cocktail, or a massage right there and soak up some serious R & R. I sent pictues to my friend back home and they replied. "Are you in a Corona comerical." Tropical Paridise. What more can I say.
If you are used big city high end amenitites, this place may not be for you. It's all about the beach and being outside. So your villa is cozy and comfortable, but yes it could use some paint here and there and a good grout scrubbing. So don't expect pristine accomidations. Great lamps and furniture in the room, comfy beeds, nice linens but needs a little detailing.

The Best Western Bayview Hotel in Koh Samui was nice in appearance and the staff was very warm and helpful. The room is large and everything works. There is a beautiful view. I felt that this hotel was very expensive, but it did have all of the ammenities. It was not in a neighborhood that was easy to walk around in. It is on a hill, hence the view. But there is a van which will drop you in Lamai and then give you a ride back to the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Up a steep hill but shuttled up and down any time you like. Not overly impressed with the restaurant but everything else was fantastic.

Our stay was great. We enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet. The morning walks on the beach. Swimming at the pool. Rooms were great. We had a Ocean view room which was great. We had a couple come in late one night with screaming kids which you can't help but very annoying. We spoke to management about another room. The first thing they did was up grade us free to another Ocean View Villa w/ a private pool this time. Staff was friendly and willing to meet every need. The food that we ate there was great. Good Thai food, Triple Club Sandwich and many other dishes. Great buffet in the morning, fruits, cereals, eggs, meats, juices, coffee's. The Dining was fantastic, big open space overlooking the ocean. the pool was large and plenty of space. The bed was a little firm for us but house keeping brought us a topper to put on the bed and it was okay after that. We stayed 7 days and would go back to the same place again. It was a little ways from down town shopping but for us it was fine. We wanted a quite and relaxing week and we got that. The ground were beautiful, green plants and flowers of all kinds. One last thing we rented a Motorbike to ride and it was cheap. Easy to get around it only cost like $12.00 US dollars a day. I It is about 10 mins to town and jsut to the left of the Hotel entrance is a mini mart. Use the "My friends" massage parlor, great staff and very good prices. Pedicure-$7.00, Manicure $7.00 Facial less than $20.00. Get out and see the island it is awesome...

C'est un lieu vraiment très mignon, à recommander à tous les amoureux ! verdure, piscine géniale, décoration haut de gamme, soin partout, c'est vraiment un petit lieu magique. Nous avons adoré (et d'ailleurs, nous avons doublé la durée prévue en ce lieu) !
Bravo à la Direction (non rencontrée) et à l'équipe adorable et prévenante
Franchement, si vous ne cherchez pas du "pied dans les vagues", ne cherchez pas u meilleur endroit que celui-ci à Koh Samui, c'est vraiment remarquable.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, my wife & I stayed at the Montra for a week during November 2010 and we were delighted with the hotel, the setting is fantastic with the villa / bungalows set around the pool & gardens. Everything was immaculately kept and maintained and nothing was too much trouble.
During our stay it was my birthday and we had been out for the day, upon arriving back at our room we were greeted by a birthday cake iced with my name and happy birthday spelled out in petals on our bed, such a thoughtful and unexpected touch.
I would recommend the Montra to anyone, especially if you want somewhere that's peaceful, relaxing and romantic, we'll certainly return.

I thought the staff at the Renaissance deserved an A++. They were so warm, accomodating and friendly throughout our 2 week stay for our honeymoon. The hotel is in a pretty good spot in between Chaweng and Lamai Beach, tucked away on its own little private strip of beach. Views were great, hotel was secluded yet still close to life. We stayed in a Garden room, which was really nice. The only thing that really bummed me out about the hotel is that they charge quite a bit for additional services. We also felt a little nickeled and dimed for things we felt should have just been complementary with the stay (internet, shuttle rides) considering that the nightly rate was much higher than other resorts of similar caliber.

It's a beautiful hotel sitting on a hillside with huge grannite boulders leading down to the beach. It's like a botanical garden, lush and beautiful, where someone carefully architected the buildings to fit naturally into the landscape. Great pools - great rooms. Private villas for those who want them.
Best of all was the staff. The Thai people, in geneal, could not be more pleasant and friendly, and the staff was all that and more. Lovely people. Will actually miss them.

Amazing resort!! The most amazing place we've ever stayed. There is a shuttle a few times a day to Chaweng but they do charge at times that would be convenient for dinner so if it there you wish to be you should try somewhere closer. But for a relaxing, beautiful holiday; an unbeatable resort.

The rooms are of exceptional standard, however the hotel is not recommended as a beach resort, there simply is no beach, you step out of the pool area and are virtually in the water, there is no sand to relax on. There is no water sports offered and we found the resort to be very claustrophobic, it is very long and narrowly designed.

Overall, we (a couple) enjoyed our stay at the Tropical Garden Lounge. We found the staff to be minimally inviting and helpful. The bungalows are good quality, but the location of the resort in Mae Nam requires either lots of walking or renting a motorcycle to get around. It didn't take long to find other, better situated and cheaper resorts on the beach. I feel that our first impressions of the grounds and the staff left us wishing we didn't book for so long.

The staff were brilliant, we arrived very late, and initially, couldn't find the hotel due to being up a drive way. The minute the staff saw us with our luggage they jumped up and grabbed our very heavy cases and took us straight to reception.
Service the next day was amazing, helping us get to Koh Toa. For a simple overnighter, i would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is perfect. After reading so many high reviews we decided to try Bo Phut over a slightly cheaper hotel and were so glad we did.
Pros:
Staff is the best we've had... ever.
Great location and decent beach
Nice rooms and bathroom always clean
Very quiet
Excellent breakfast buffet
Cons:
Little small for a resort, 1 small pool no bar
No dinner buffet, would have been nice and more affordable

Ce magnifique hôtel boutique n'est pensé que pour votre plaisir . Ici tout n'est que raffinement et délicatesse si vous prenez le temps d'observer et de déguster . Les plats des restaurants sont excellents et d'une fraîcheur remarquable . Le SPA vous ouvre les portes du paradis, et la situation de l'hôtel fait qu'il est près du village des pêcheurs et bénéficie d'une très jolie plage . Rien n'est laissé au hasard, y aller vous sera facile, en repartir beaucoup moins .

In terms of service, location, culinary delights, privacy and commitment to excellence, Buri Rasa was outstanding. No detail went unnoticed. From the daily bed turn down service with small chocolates, to the free afternoon snacks by the pool, we were consistently amazed by its attention to detail and commitment to going the extra mile to make our holiday one to remember forever. We also grew very fond of the staff, all of whom remembered our names. We are going to make a trip to Buri Rasa an annual event!

OTTIMO....!!!!! che dire esattamente quello che promette un fantastico Boutique Resort & SPA con solo 35 unità (preferire la Delux con pool privata). Ottima la professionalità e cortesia di tutti i dipendenti dal General Manager alla crew. Posizione OTTIMA a circa 300 metri dal famosissimo e blasonatissimo Centara, nel pieno della vita di Chaweng, beach fantastica come anche la piscina (con sistema di microfiltrazione e non cloro). Prezzo sicuramente valido per tutto quello che offre. Se cercate una vacanza romantica di relax dove sarete coccolati con garanzia di non trovare sorprese questo Resort è indicatissimo.

The best part was after exiting the hotel, taking a few steps and then seeing the ocean. The hotel was a bit too small, but comfortable nonetheless.

The hotel was small but it had everything that we needed since we were mainly concentrating on the city itself and not the hotel. The location was great and was very helpful it was only a few yards away from a CVS and Walgreens, which came in very handy. The views on the beach were excellent, especially in the moring sunrise. The room was small w/a queen size bed, but that was all we needed. The staff was friendly and was always there to help. I would defintely choose this hotel for the price and location.
