日本人長期滞在者が多く住むリンカム交差点に近く、周辺には日本料理店やラーメン屋、居酒屋などの飲食店がある。喫茶店やケーキ店も近所にあって午後の時間にのんびりと過ごせます。
部屋はキッチン付きだったので長期滞在には適している。

no real complaints with this hotel...right next to night bazaar and hotel staff were great. only shortcoming...the bathroom was a little small which made getting into/out of the shower a little difficult

We've stayed in this hotel 3 times and really like it. Hotel is very close to the night market, and is really nice for the price. Stayed at other more expensive hotels in Chiang Mai and didn't notice a significant difference in quality, cleanliness, comfort, or staff. Will continue to stay at the Centara.

Quite simply one of the best hotels we've stayed in around the world for the money. I travel a lot and love contemporary hotels with amazing service. This is the best to date and all areas especially service this hotel exceeds. I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled too for this hotel. Inexpensive hotel in good location

This is an older hotel and the price reflects that. For the price I paid, its very good value for the money and people who complain that its rundown should just pay (a lot) more for a newer hotel. The room looks a bit dated but clean and the hotel has amenities of a 3 star hotel except no hair dryer. Make sure to pay a few more bucks and get a deluxe room.
The location is great with a shopping mall next door where you can find all kinds of food from traditional Thai to western fast food type. It's a bit away from the night bazaar but you probably want to see it only once and a tuk tuk ride from the hotel to night bazaar is just a few bucks. I used to stay at a 4 star hotel near the night bazaar and the room cost 3 times more.
Cons: the internet price is outrageous (150 baht or 5 dollars an hr). the mattresses started to droop and need to be replaced.

I just got back from a 16 day stay at this wonderful, small!!,quiet and utterly charming hotel with my girlfriend(Thai) and we both really loved this place. Usually we stay at the Meridien in Chiangmai and the fact that we enjoyed our stay here should tell you something, although it is a clssic case of comparing apples to watermelon.
It is a little off the beaten track, but if you call them and let them know when you arrive they will send a taxi to get you from the airport and once there it's easy to tell the tuktuk driver to take you to BG Hotel which is right across the street.
We had a room with a king size bed on the third floor with a balcony that was not big but more than spacious enough for two. There were two things that were less than perfect;
#1. The stairway is a little steep and narrow but it was only a problem when we first arrived with our bags because I carried them up myself because I was not about to let the 90lb puu-ying that checked us in do it.
#2. The lady that cleaned the room would not take the tip I left for her on the nightstand every day.
If those things sound like something you could handle then don't think twice about staying there, do it!

This is a great little hotel and very reasonable. Nice hosts and good guide, [...] next door. Get the bfst option as it is very good. only problem was finding it since there is another very expensive hotel of the same name and since taxi drivers dont recognize the english spelling of the name. It is on one of the two main east west streets in the old part of town. best bet would be to call hotel or [...] and have him meet you at the airport. just 100-150 baht from airport to hotel. you will love it. Beautiful flowers.

This hotel was in the heart of the "old city"...on every corner was a different temple to look at!...It was decorated very nicely in the lanna style...great amenities...pool...rain shower...although shower water ran a bit on the cool side!!>>>Wonderful helpful staff & delicious breakfast with a wide variety of foods...would surely return to this place!

旧市街の真ん中で，旧市街の町歩きをするにはベストポジション．ホテルの前の通りは，日曜日の夜になると，サンデーマーケットでにぎわいます．
ホテルの雰囲気は，静かで落ち着いていて，たいへん過ごしやすく，また，小さなホテルなので，すぐにスタッフとも顔見知りになり，何かと親切なサービスを受けることができました．滞在24時間で１泊とカウントするシステムも，朝にチェンマイに到着したわたしたちには好都合でした．
チェンマイへ行くときは，再び泊まりたいホテルです．

Cet hôtel est placé près des deux marchés les plus importants de Chiang-Maï.L'accueil est très bien, sauf que moi parlant très peu l'anglais,j'ai eu quelques difficultés mais on y est arrivé,car le personnel semble bien professionnel.
Le seul petit inconvénient,c'est que les chambres(au 4eme)n'ayant pas vu les autres,ne sont pas trop nettes et la salle de bain n'est pas fonctionnelle,( le manque d'aération ne permet pas a l'eau sur le sol de sécher rapidement.)
Les couloirs étaient repeints pendant mon séjour laisse espérer que ce seras ensuite le tour des chambres.
Étant donné que je compte y retourner 15 jours au moins l'an prochain,je me rendrais compte de visu si les amélioration espérées auront étés apportées.
le meilleur rapport qualité prix de Chiang-Maï.(J'ai fait une petite virée des hôtels ou guets-houses des alentours.)

部屋に飲料水のサービスもあった。
サービス機器としてシャワー室に窓が無いので最低限換気扇が欲しい。湿気が抜けないので。
あと、朝食付きを頼んだがトーストとコーヒーかミロだけだったのでせめてもう一品欲しいところ。
全体的に見れば値段以上に良いとは思う。

Die Lage direkt am Nachtmarkt ist einfach ideal. Das Deluxe-Zimmer ist richtig hübsch, wenn auch etwas klein. Auch sonst macht das Hotel einen sehr guten Eindruck. Maßlos allerdings fand ich die Preisgestaltung für das WiFi im Zimmer. Das gibt es in Thailand in fast jedem Guesthouse kostenlos und die "großen" Hotels meinen immer, sie müssten da die Hand aufhalten. Schade eigentlich.

Great for its value. The service was wonderful. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Convinient location but not with a spectacular view. The internet service was great.

Nous avons passé une semaine à l'hotel placé au calme dans un quartier très agréable à mi chemin des ramparts de la vieillle citée et du quartier animé de la ville moderne. Un très bon emplacement dans un beau quartier.
Le personnel est attentionné et très aimable. les chambres sont impeccables.
WIFI gratuit dans les chambres.

De Chai The Colonial Hotel is a 4 star hotel, but actually it could be very easily a 5 star hotel.The deuxe room was really great with enough space for 2 big luggage,a master king bed,an electronic board for the lighting of the room (no switches).And the location is great too, 2 blocks from Thapae Gate of the ancient city and only 5 blocks from night bazaar.I totally reccomend it.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in November 2011. It's a good hotel located reasonably close to the old city (tuk tuk ~60 bht), night bazaar (10 min walking) and the river.
The hotel is clean if a bit dated. The breakfast buffet is pretty good.

Beautiful hotel at a reasonable price. Breakfast buffet provided a wide range of selection of delicious food. We returned to the hotel in the evening exhausted from a day of events, so we ordered room service which was very reasonable priced, served in less than an hours time and was very good.

The hotel was small and quaint but had the basic services that you need. It included breakfast, 24/7 check-in, bookings for tours, swimming pool, small bar, free internet in the room as well as having 2 desktops in the hotel lobby. The rooms were clean and simple and roomy. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this to other travelers that are looking for small hotels. It was quiet and relaxing.

This is a great hotel, The facilities are fantastic and the service is better than we have encountered in other 5 star hotels. The room was very clean and well decorated. The grounds and swimming pool are very beautiful. The restaurants offer varitiety of Thai and other dishes. We will add the Shangri-La hotels on the top of the list of hotels we will visit in our future travels.

Le Méridien est trés bien placé , prés du centre, le SPA, la salle de gym et la piscine sont trés bien. le personnel est trés prévenant. Seul bémol la salle à manger est bruyante.

I would definitely recommend a stay here. Excellent location with the night market and local eateries at your doorstep. Great selection at the buffet breakfast. We found the staff were wonderful and always willing to help no matter what the request was. My wife was shocked when she answered the doorbell to a birthday cake and fabulous voice singing 'Happy Birthday'....a very thoughtful and unexpected surprise from managemet....apparently they had the date from her passport. A great few days in Chiang Mai, thanks so much Le Meridian.

The resort is right in the middle

The resort is right in the middle of hip shopping area of Chiang Mai but well hidden. There are lots of trees and the buildings and interiors are mainly made of wood. Very beautiful. We love the place very much.
For location, it's perfect for us since our main business of this trip is at CMU (Chiang Mai University). But for those who has never been to Chiang Mai and would like to explore the old town, this place is far. There are tons of cute little places in the old town area.
Front desk staff are okay. They can do basic things. There are two computers with internet for guests free of charge in the lobby but mosquitoes are their serious problem.

The yantarasiri entrance is tucked away between two large hotels and at the moment of entering it you can feel the vibe of the place. It is beautifully done using the clasisc thai style architecture with lots of solid wooden structures and a pool with little elephant fountains on the side. The rooms were large enough and contined the classic theme inside. The loose pebbles in the bathroom were a very nice touch indeed. Breakfast buffet was good with a choice between western and asian breakfast. All in all my girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here.

Höchstes Lob für dieses Hotel: exzellenter Service, sehr sauber, sehr große Zimmer, viel Freundlichkeit; die z.T. mangelnde Kompetenz der Hotelangestellten (Englisch war oft nur bruchstückhaft vorhanden) wurde durch einen Deutsch sprechenden Angestellten aufgewogen. Dieser Angestellte muss besonders erwähnt werden, da er sich sehr (und auch ohne umfangreiche Bitten) um unsere Belange, z.B. einen Mietwagen zu erhalten, kümmerte.
Es war mit den Chatrium Suites in Bangkok unser bestes Hotel in Thailand.

A formerly 4* hotel that's fallen on hard times and is struggling to make ends meet. They charge for everything: the 'courtesy' bus to & from airport, even the safe in your room is 100 baht a day.
Avoid breakfast - evil 'coffee' and the food is very poor quality - and instead visit any of the pleasant cafes & coffee houses around.
But the location, upmarket facade and respectful no-questions-asked anonymity make it well worth the 1000 baht a night price tag.

ตอนแรกตั้งความหวังไว้สูงมากค่ะ ดูจากเว็บไซด์ของโรงแรม แต่พอไปถึงสถานที่จริง ก้อโอเคค่ะ พอรับได้ แต่จุดที่ดีที่สุดคือสถานที่ตั้งเพราะอยู่ในย่านใจกลางเมือง
แต่อาหารเช้า ขอบอกตามตรงว่าไม่ดีอย่างที่คิด อาหารมีให้เลือกน้อยมากค่ะ

I made the trip with my siblings to visit our ailing father who is a resident. I did not expect much from ChiangMai however was pleasantly surprised when we arrived after our long journey.
The description of the property is accurate. We stayed in a two bedroom suite which was impressive for the rate paid. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the amenities of the room - we used the DVD for some quality family movie time.
We visited the tigers - wow - and paid to get up close and personal. The monkey show was entertaining and the elephants who paint and kick soccer balls were amazing.
Staff was courteous and accommodating.
My only disappointment was the dining options. Wine list sparse but hey - did I really expect to get a glass of Pinot Grigio?
Despite the limited wine selection, I would certainly rebook at this property. The 2 bedroom suite is about $400 less than a standard room at the 4 seasons or Mandarin Oriental. I love luxury but if I can get it for less I will.

空港からも近くて、レストラン・カフェの多いミニマンヘン通りにも至近距離なので、使い勝手が良いです。拙い英語にもしっかり対応してくれる等スタッフの方も親切でした。
ホテルの部屋も綺麗でしたが、一番よかったのはプールで、温水ジャグジーがあったりとホテルライフを満喫できました。チェンマイに行く時はまた滞在したいです。
