Additional Information; Children age 1 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 2-6 receive a 50pct reduction. Children age 7-12 receive a 30pct reduction. Das Hotel befindet sich mitten i Locarno am Piazza Grande. Bahnhof, Läden und der See sind bequem zu Fuss erreichbar.
Das Zimmer war eher klein, aber mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Alles sehr sauber.
Nachteil: Das Zimmer verfügte über keine Klimaanlage, da es über 30 Grad war, war es zum Schlafen sehr ungemütlich.
Ansonsten ist das Hotel sehr empfehlenswert.

Emplacement idéal sur la Piaza Grande, accueil sympa, bar attenant, nous avions une chambre à 3 lits de bonne dimension, sans chichi.
Accès wifi (mais seulement depuis le rez-de-chaussée).
Coin pour laisser les bagages (pratique pour les motards).

Very basic hotel rooms with minimum amenities. Hotel was quiet and location excellent. Breakfast was good value and the staff helpful - I would definitely stay there again

The Residena Motta is situated in the heart of the charming old town (citt vecchia) of Locarno. Barbara and Urs Schmid, the proprietors of the Residenza Motta, invite you to get to know their Apartment-House better. The Residenza Motta-House is open all over the year. They speak English, Italian, German and French
All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged CHF 20 per night per person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged CHF 30 per night per person for extra beds.

Die Innenausstatung ist Renovationsbedürftig.
Das Toilletenpapier ist das billigste das ich je gesehen habe. Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer / Bad, ist mies. Die freien Parkmöglichkeiten sind auf 6 Plätze beschränkt, sonst CHF 15.- pro Nacht.Frühstück ist io, aber kein Amerikanisches wie angepriesen. Personal ist toll.

Zimmer sauber, Personal unfreundlich, Frühstücksbüffet OK aber nicht 4 Sterne gerecht: verbrannter Speck, zerschlagene Milchkrüge, mittelmässige Auswahl, Parkplatzsituation ärgerlich: anders als im Internet beschrieben sind nur 15 Plätze gratis verfügbar welche dauernd besetzt sind, Personal kann keine kostenfreie Alternative anbieten und reagiert auf Anfrage zur Parkplatzsituation gereizt.

The Dependance is directly beside the Dell'Angelo Hotel. The historic building is located in the centre of town, in the most important area of Locarno, Piazza Grande, just a few minutes from the station and the lake.
The rooms are equipped with satellite TV, radio, telephone, hair-dryer and some of these also have balcony. The bathroom/WC/shower is shared with others rooms. Single, double rooms, rooms with three and four beds are available.
The guests of the Dependance can use the facilities of the Dell'Angelo Hotel.
