My wife and I were very impressed with every dimension of our stay. The room was immaculate and well appointed. Brisk response to our request for a ride from and to the train station which is just a minute away by car. We would not hesitate to rebook the next time we need a place to stay in Davos. Description
The impressive Art Nouveau-style Schatzalp Hotel boasts a spectacular location on a sunny terrace above Davos. It is reachable with its own funicular and features its own, private ski area.
Fine cuisine is served in the Belle Epoque dining hall or on the Snow Beach terrace. Half board is available on request.
It offers historic-style rooms and also features a swimming pool and a sauna.
Situated amidst a beautiful botanical garden with 3500 species of alpine plants, the Schatzalp is also well known from the novel "The Magic Mountain" written by Thomas Mann. With a peaceful location 300 meters above Davos this traditional hotel is reached by a short ride on the Schatzalp funicular (four minutes) from the main street and enjoys glorious panoramic views across the valley.
The rooms are in old style but have charm and are very comfortable. All rooms have bath or shower, wc, telephone, radio, and modem connection and there is also free Wi-Fi access in the south rooms and the hotel lobby. All south-facing rooms have a loggia (large balcony for sunbathing). Superior south-facing twin rooms are very spacious.
breakfast buffet and four course dinner are served in the hotel's dining room. There is also the rustic restaurant Schatzalp which is located just a few steps from the hotel and enjoys lovely views over Davos.
Facilities: small indoor swimming pool and sauna, charming lounge and bar with open fireplace; hotel lift; dining room; restaurant Schatzalp next to the hotel with a popular sun terrace for lunches. Guests have free use of the Schatzalp funicular.

The Alexander hotel is situated in proximity of the main street of Davos (promenade) and despite its central location very quiet. The guests enjoy from the rooms a spectacular view over Davos and on the Jakobshorn. Many attractions such as the ski stations, the congress center or the hockey arena Davos can be reached by walking in 5 minutes.
All rooms are equipped with cable TV and telephone. The majority of the rooms dispose of a south balcony. The hotel has a modern wellness area with sauna, swimming pool, whirlpool, steam bath and fitness center. The hotel including its conference and event facilities serves every guests needs.

I had a signal room which was small, but perfectly fine for one busy tourist. For Switzerland the price was very reasonable. I'll look for Sunstar Hotels in the future.

A perfect quality hotel with convenient location and it has been renovated in 2006. During the summer season clients staying at this hotel have complimentary use of all open lifts and cable cars to the surrounding mountains. This is an unshamedly modern hotel with a white facade. The hotel is located just off the main road into Davos right in the centre of town.
