Just a room but good breakfast.

The room was just that. A small room and a small bathroom. The free wi-fi and great breakfast were a big plus. The Hotel was within easy walking distance of the church and great restaurants. And right next door to the Linnes Gardens (our window opened up to it)

This hotel is correct, nothing special but you won't find any bad surprise.
Our room was big, clean and well equiped.
The staff was efficient.
The buffet breakfast pretty nice.
It is quite close to the main railway station of Upsala.
The value for money is ok.
I recommend it if you travel to Upsala.

A confortable place to stay in Uppsala

This is an ideal place to have a good night sleep and very hearty breakfast to start your day while you are away from home on business.
No hotels was available in this year's European Cardiologists meeting in Stockholm. But I consider myself lucky to stay in Park Inn Uppsala instead. While I was there I found out many Asians like me stayed in this hotel.
Staff is extremely helpful. They are patient in teaching me how to buy tickets to Stockhlom for the Congress.

The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast great. The room was very small, however, and there was almost no storage space. The bathroom has one of those showers in a corner with a swinging panel. I defy ANYONE to be able to fit into the shower 'stall.' Count on the whole bathroom getting wet.

Great Hotel and great location

If you are looking for a great place with phenomenal entertainment across the street - this is it. While in the hotel you cannot hear anything that's happening outside (no music, screaming etc). You do not need to go anywhere to find fun - its right there and better then most places in the area. The breakfast in this place is by far better then in either Stockholm or Gavle. Great place.
No Free Parking. (it costs you about 170kr for 24hours) or you can find parking on the street.
This is not your 6 star hotel but its a really great place

Akademihotellet is located very near the city centre and is surrounded by old buildings and parks. The University The Cathedral and The Castle are very near. Wireless Internet is free of charge. Many restaurants bars and cafes close by.

Description
The new hotel Fyrislund was opened in 2009. Centrally located in the business areas of Fyrislund and Bolanderna nest to Swedens largest Ikea store. A 5min drive from the centre of Uppsala and 15min away from Arlanda airport.
The rooms are decorated in light colours with dark wood furniture. All rooms are en-suite and have desks, armchairs and lcd tvs.
The centre of Uppsala offers a good selection of restaurants. Sandwiches and drinks can be bought at the hotel. The hotel also offers free parking, free wireless internet and buffet breakfast.
For the children there is a 9-hole indoor miniature golf course.

Room are very small, breakfast is OK, people are friendly. The hotel is situated approximately 30 minutes by foot from the central railway station and almost 45 minutes from the cathedral. Busses to the center cost 30 SEK (~ 4 EUR). If you are in Sweden with your car the hotel is ok because there is are parking spaces.

The service at this hotel was amazing. I was very pleased with the reception and the help the staff provided. However the rooms are small, and as is normal in scandinavia there are two small beds that can be put together to make a couples bed..... however this is uncomfortable for 'sleeping' together. I think the hotel was a bit too expensive for the size and the bathroom, though the quality of the staff made up for it in my eyes.
