The hotel is situated in the city centre by the old city gate Norre port. Opposite the hotel you will find a beautiful park, Norre Katts park. Shops, restaurants and movie theatres are just a hundred meters from the hotel. The soccer stadium, the museum and a hospital and sport arena are all within a few minutes walk. The hotel has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. An evening buffet is served every evening, free of charge. The interior of the hotel has warm colors and a sort of an English style. You can also choose to have your room facing the park or the garden of the hotel. Pet charge: 200 kr per stay. Please note that all Choice hotels in Scandinavia are 100 percent non-smoking properties. Children 12 and under stay free if sharing room with parents or grandparents when no additional bedding is required.

The Continental Hotel is centrally located in Halmstad, a few hundred metres from the railway station and about a 3km taxi drive from the airport. Although it is in a central location you can count on a good nights sleep and plenty of parking spots. The hotel has 46 tastefully and individually decorated rooms including cable TV, ISDN and fully licensed minibar.Some rooms also include jacuzzi. All guest rooms are non smoking. The hotel also features a cosy recreation area with sauna, television, dart board and pool table. A variety of light meals are offered in the bar. The Continental Hotel is centrally located in Halmstad, a few hundred metres from the railway station and about a 3km taxi drive from the airport. We have standard rooms, rooms for disabled, business rooms and several suites. Spend some time in our relax area or pay a visit to our restaurant or bar. Parking is free of charge. Please note that all Choice hotels in Scandinavia are non-smoking properties. Pet charge: 200 kr per stay. Children 12 and under stay free if sharing room with parents or grandparents when no extra bedding is required.

Quality OK for cheap

We were on the way to Gothenburg Sweden and found this hotel through [...]. It's somewhat inexpensive and there are some reasons why.We arrived fairly late and therefore for us it was a place to stay for the evening. Registration was fairly simple and easy. The room itself was clean, but was on the 1st floor. It was very interesting to look out the window to see the Mall and to have a walkway right outside the window.The bed was soft, which seems to be typical for Europe. We had just come from a 5 star hotel and the bed there was soft as well.The bathroom is small, but functional. There is no hair dryer, so be aware. In general it seems that Europeans do not give out wash cloth as the norm compared to the US.The room was quiet and was functional.Breakfast was included. There was bread, meats, herring, eggs, fruits, cereal, yogurt, juices, milk, and coffee. Quite a spread compared to the American "continental" breakfast, but quite blase compared to other hotels we stayed.All in all this would be a place to stay if you are looking for a short business or single night, but if your were going to Halstad for a longer stay, there are other places to consider.
