A very clean, friendly hotel. Rooms were a good size. Would be happy to use it again and would recommend others to do so. My only 'complaint' would be the location in relation to the town. The hotel is at the bottom of a very steep hill and the town is at the top!! (But there are taxis).

OK - Location is just perfect for those of you who travel with a car - there is large public area to park, and it is NOT in the old town, where parking and driving might be a problem. It is 5-6 minutes walk to gate to the Toledo city (up the hill though).
We got small room, in general it was nice, nad clean, but woul nt say it is exceptionnly clean- just average (with some spider net in the corner or so) - but come on, lets not be picky - after all you only spen a night there (unless you are crazy and you go to toledo to enjoy the hotel). Personell spoke english and was helpfull with directions, parking info etc. So given the location, and great parking options, we were very satisfied with a hotel - however I can't compare as we have not been in any other hotels in Toledo. enjoy your time.

The facade of this property is traditional (although built in 1993) with arabic style brickwork. 5 minutes drive from the city centre and the old quarters, almost opposite the Parador, and surrounded by lovely gardens offering superb aerial views of this historic city.

Le Domenico n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 4 etoiles. L'extérieur est joli de même que la situation (le resto en terrasse de l'hôtel offre une trés belle sur Tolède). La propreté était limite, la sdb bas de gamme et le petit déjeuner sans intérêt. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel.

The Hotel was inaugurated in 1986, the story of the building dates back to the fifteenth century which was founded in San Lazaro Hospital, which subsists on the beautiful "apse". The hotel took the name of Queen Maria Cristina, who for a time lived in it. Maria Cristina hotel was well located just outside the city walls on the main road in from Madrid. Reception staff very helpful, breakfast had plenty of variety. Underground parking available. Would recommend this hotel

Hotel also have two multi-use totally equipped conference rooms. Very well decorated, modern and functional rooms. All with a hydro massage tub. Also it has 13 sloping roof rooms. Decor was a bit dated, but the hotel is generally at a good location.
Description
Located in the heart of the baroque and neoclassic old town is the Alfonso VI hotel. Due to its central location (within 50 meters of the Square of Zocodover, and sharing ownership with the Carlos V hotel across from the Alcazar of Toledo) it offers all its guests an ideal starting point for visiting the Imperial City.
The medieval Castilian Character is evident in Alfonso VI in both its style of construction as well as in its decoration.

The staff was friendly, rooms great for the price, best of all the location was fabulous. We were able to walk throughout town, enjoy Toledo's fabulous history and architecture and sample tasty food. We felt safe both day and night. Parking in a lot near hotel for a fee. The only downside was hearing people coming back to or by hotel in the middle of the night, Room over looking street. Loved this town.

Very attentive and helpful reception desk staff. Friendly and accomodating. Very nice continental-type buffet breakfast for 8.5 Euros. Five to ten minute walk to all the sights in town.

Nice hotel in a great location. After reading some of the review after booking I was worried I'd made a mistake but it was perfect. A/C was great, little noise (my room was one floor up facing the main street) and the good quality linens. The Abad was easy to find and just a short walk to Zocodover Plaza, but not in the heart of the city. The staff and the atmosphere were great. My reservation was booked on-line but got lost in the shuffle; they let me check-in and spent a few hours getting things worked but never gave me any reason to worry.

Hotel très bien restauré dans l'esprist des anciens immeubles de Tolède tout en offrant un confort moderne, personnel accueillant et de bon conseil pour les restaurants, jolie vue.
Très bonne isonorisation de la rue grace aux doubles fenêtres.
Seul bémol le petit déjeuner : espace restreint, buffet un peu cher par rapport à d'autres hotels où nous sommes descendus.

Pleasant establishment in Toledo. This welcoming establishment is located in the heart of Toledo`s old town, at a few metres from Zocodover Square, and close to the Alcázar and the Cathedral. The spot is an important strategical starting point to discover the city, as it is at a few steps from the main tourist places of interest and business areas. It is surrounded by restaurants, bars, cafeterias and leisure and entertainment centres. The nearest train station is at just 500 metres while the bus stop is at just 50 metres. The hotel`s staff is kind and creates a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel at home.

My review of Hostal Maravilla

Hostal Maravilla was located in a perfect location, right in the middle of Toledo but on a pedestrian road so it wasn't noisy at all. The staff was loveley and there's an attached restraunt with decent food at very good rates, plus many other restraunts a short walk away, if you want something different. The downsides: the room was boring, all white walls and little to make it pretty and homey. The pedestrian street meant it was a 1-block walk from where the cab could drop us off or pick us up, and with NO lift, this would not be a good hotel choice for people who have problems climbing stairs (there are 4 floors at the place...). It was fine for us, however, and I will certainly consider them if I'm ever in Toledo again, and reccomend them to friends (with the downsides noted above).

[...] the owner and manager was very personable! Our apartment was first class and had so much room for a family of three adults.Bonus for us was the washer that we didn't expect. Good location we could walk to many places. About 10 minute taxi ride from the train station.

Description
REAL DE TOLEDO HOTEL is located within the Old Town of Toledo, just few steps from the Zocodover Square, on its main access road from the gate of Bisagra, in front of the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz and of the Sun's Gate.
Real de Toledo Hotel is situated inside an ancient building from the 19th century which preserves its façade built of bricks of wrought iron of Toledo which gives its whole beauty at the night time.
It is a 3 stars establishment of familiar atmosphere, which was built in the 90s in its inner part, and was many times refurbished, the last time in 2009.
Real de Toledo Hotel has 54 guestrooms, a restaurant-cafeteria and a private parking in the same building, all a luxury for those wishing to enjoy by foot the touristic attractions offered by such a unique city as Toledo. Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Notice: Due to the design of the streets of Toledo's old town, the parking of Real de Toledo is only available for medium-sized cars.

Once a Renaissance palace, the five-star Palacio Eugenia de Montijo Hotel was refurbished in May 2006. The Hotel stands in Toledo s old town, a stone s throw from the landmark Gothic Cathedral of Santa María de Toledo. The hotel s Restaurante Belvís serves traditional Manchego fare, and guests can relax at the private PEM Spa and Fitness Club. The hotel has 2 independent function rooms and 40 luxurious guest rooms. **The 24th and of 31th of December the restaurant will only serve the gala menu of Christmas and New years eve, not being obligatory its hiring to lodge in the hotel, but is needed previous reserve**

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The staff at reception speaks very good English and is very helpful with suggestions regarding dining options and directions to areas in the city. Our room was elegantly decorated and comfortable. One evening, we dined at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed an excellent dinner. The hotel doesn't reveal itself from the outside. It appears to be very simple, but once inside, it's apparent that this is a wonderful place to stay. If I were to return to Toledo, it's the only place I would stay.
Description
This historic city hotel is housed in a residence of the Toledo aristocracy. It was referred to as early as 1388 and was converted into a hotel in 1990. The most recent restoration works preserved the ancient structure and resulted in comfortable rooms and communal areas, such as a terrace for relaxation and enjoyment of the beautiful views over Toledo. It comprises a total of 42 rooms, some of which enjoy views of the cathedral. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and 24-hour check-in/check-out service, a hotel safe, a lift and a breakfast room.
