Located in the old town district, in the night time you would see this old district was shrouded in warm atmosphere by lamp, time was frozen in 17th century. Breathing in cold air, a myriad of stars shone in the clear dark sky above. Stepped into the old fashioned house, surprisingly found elevator to your floor and a traditional canopy bed in middle of the spacious room. The bath room was quite big. And 6.48 Euro included tax buffet breakfast for a room would be a perfect starting for a new day!

Nice continental breakfast is included in price, free wifi in lobby and restaurant. Hotel has contemporary design. Everything feels new and fresh.

The hotel is located in the edge of Cuenca, but very convenient for travelers by car. McDonald's is opposite with a spacious car parking area, and a petrol station is just in front of the gate. The staff is quite helpful and the room is comfortable although it is a little small.

Description
Cuenca is a truly original city hewn out of rock. The hotel's large windows overlook the famous Casas Colgadas (hanging houses) set on the rocks flanking Hoz del Huecar in implausible positions. It is a notable example of the late gothic style. 1208AB The hotel is located in the ancient San Pablo convent which was built in the 16th century. The convent was founded by the famous Canon Juan del Pozo. It is located outside Cuenca city walls, where magnificent views can be enjoyed. Located opposite to Cuenca's Suspended Houses, whose acces, like that of the old center, is the extraordinary metal bridge. The N-III is the reference road from Madrid at the turn off from Tarancon, or from Valencia through Motilla del Palancar.

Description
Visitors will be charmed by this unique Posada and appreciate the harmony of decoration and its superb situation. All is tranquility and peacefulness in this little wonder which is found in the old quarter which was designated a World Heritage in 1996. 12/08MP The hotel is housed in a XVII century stone building which retains the past monastic characteristic for it was the San Jose choir school where boys used to gather to rehearse masses to be sung in the nearby cathedral. The exterior and the rest of the building is carefully looked after by the owners. The front and main entrance is found in a traditional narrow street the back only accessible from within the building giveaway to an amazing view over the river gauge. Located in the heart of the monumental area of Cuenca very close to the beautiful cathedral and Hanging Houses overlooking the Huecar River Gorge. The remarkable position of the hotel offers a dramatic panorama of sunlight, shadows and breathtaking scenery. Within walking distance to any of the tourist attractions such as museums, churches and convents as well as a large variety of restaurant and tapas bars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay , the Posada de San Jose is situated very centrally for the historic area of Cuenca, our room was delightful with lovely views over the gorge , will definitely return.

Staying at this 16th century convent, which later became a labor home, and located in an exceptional place on the outskirts of the monumental city of Cuenca, results in an unforgettable experience.
At the center of a 25,000 square meter garden-filled land, this comfortable and peaceful hotel holds true to its architecture and original distribution, highlighting a central patio and numerous galleries.
Its unique-shaped rooms have been decorated with a Castilian style, displaying high ceilings, thick stoned walls and wooder beams. Furniture is antique and rustic while comfortable at the same time.
An ideal place for nature and peaceful-loving visitors, its guests are able to practice some of the suggested hotel activities, or discover the authentic Castilian-Manchego cuisine at its Restaurant "La Hoz".

Hotel minimalist styled and decorated with exquisite delicate taste. Rooms are decorated with the most fine and delicate details to ensure that our clients receive the most comfortable stay. All of our rooms are well equipped with full bathrooms, amenities, hair dryer, telephones, wireless connection and WIFI. Rooms also have televisions and heater/AC units. We provide a multi functional room in which we also serve breakfast. This room can be booked for small meetings, group presentations, small conferences, media meetings, and lectures. The room also has a TV and coffee services. In addition, we offer FREE national and local newspaper. Audiovisual equipment is available at no charge. Our patio and terrace is optimum for catering. Parking available.
Tourism activities currently active. These activities can be booked through our hotel services. There are diverse activities like tourism guides, organized excursions to natural habitats, and reservations at the most selected restaurants in the city, assistance in buying movie tickets and for other activities. Our hotel is proudly located between three main geographic areas: Sierra, Mancha, and Alcarria. We gladly provide information regarding these areas if you wish to visit them.

A really pleasant stay here, along with a very warm welcome. The hotel is in a quiet more rural village just outside Cuenca. Extremely clean and excellent value for money. Fully recommended.

This is a very convenient hotel for those on a concious budget and not willing to have parking problmes which might be found in the city centre.10/10MP This is a cosy hotel. It is housed in traditional building looking like a family house painted in white and light yellow. This family run hotel is located about 10 kilometres away from Cuenca centre and just takes about 5 minutes by car to get to this beautiful city and its historic centre. This hotel is located in a very quiet site.

Description
This authentic 8th Century fortress is situated on a promontory above the meandering river Jcar, on the Manchego-Levantinas border. The hotel occupies the medieval castle of the Marqueses de Villena, which is over 13 centuries old. It was founded by the Muslims in the 8th Century and then taken over by King Alfonso VIII in the 12th Century. It was the home of distinguished writer, Don Juan Manuel and has experienced many sieges and revolts. The grandeur of the Parador can be witnessed in the Torre del Homenaje (Tower of Homage) both in its battlements and interior. The hotel was redecorated in 2003 following some construction work on the entire hotel. It emphasised the fortress's strength and austerity, removing the wall coverings and creating an appearance more in line with the original building. Magnificent oak and a mixture of modern and classical styles have transformed this Parador into a new building. The fabrics used within bring out its medieval character; the reds and oranges contrast with the austerity of the space and serve as a backdrop for its genuine art collection. The castle, formerly owned by the Marqueses de Villena, displays works by Tapies, Redondela, Sempere, Amadeo Gabino, A lvaro Delgado, Martnez Novillo and Menchu Gal, and sends its paintings to the famous Abstract Art Museum in Cuenca. It is a peaceful haven on the Castile plateau.
