The Hotel Jimesol is a family-owned hotel located in the heart of Nerja (see map), only 300 meters from the beach and a mere five minutes from the famous Balcon de Europe. The Hotel comprises 58 well-appointed rooms. The hotel provides amenities like bar, doctor on call, non-smoking rooms, reception, restaurant, safe deposit box, solarium, swimming pool-outdoor, tour desk, rent a car, deck chairs Umbrellas, multilingual staff and air conditioning in public areas. Suplements:Half board per pax per day 8. Christmas Dinner(25/12/08) 30. New year's eve dinner(31/12/08) 30.
The Jimesol, in collaboration with the local council, can offer you the opportunities for many sporting activities in the nearby recreational centre. You can stay active on the tennis courts or work-out in the gym. Gather friends together for a game of football or beach volley. This is a four stars hotel in Nerja (Spain), composed by two buildings, extended and reformed in its entirety in the year 2005. The breakfast in the hotel was

The breakfast in the hotel was not good, the coffee was disgusting as was the orange juice ,no taste. My husband had fried eggs with shell not the best.there were not enough sunbeds for the amount of people at the pool,at least 2 of these were broken ,which I thought was dangerous, as there were quite a lot of elderly guests in the hotel. This hotel is not a 4 star

Don't get married here!

I got married in nerja in September and we fell in love with this place. It is beautiful! We booked the whole place out for the venue. The tasting was amazing, rooms lovely, overall very romantic.
The wedding was very different. My wife to be got ready at the bridal suite the day of the wedding. She had campers, food as you'd expect with the bridesmaids. More of that later.
It transpired the catering is actually subcontracted. The tasting menu we had was given to another contractor. So instead of terrine of salmon we had mouse, instead of green beans wrapped in bacon we had white in a garlicky oil, instead of pepper sauce on the boar we had a type of gravy. The deserts were also changed before the wedding. All in all the meal resembled a 'menu del dia' in a bar. Speaking of which The bar did not go on all night as informed.
On returning to our bridal suite we were looking forward to the sunken bath and champers and strawberries. Turns out the room was cleaned from earlier. No champers and no strawberries.
The hotel insisted it wasn't there problem- they still say it was the hairdresser who told them not to clean the room... Does that make any sense on our wedding night. The catering not their problem again as they are just the hotel. The same for the drinks and fruit- that was the caters. Instead of apologising for the errror and offering some redress they called the cleaner down who argued its me in Spanish saying its not their fault. All admitted they would be furious if it was their wedding.
I spoke to the manager who again said essentially not my problem for it all. ABSOLUTELY shocking! I wasted so much time and energy on our honey moon with this. Luckily we forced ourselves to get over it but it nearly ruined our day. They never bothered contacting us again and we paid for everything in full. Such a shame- what is a lovely place ruined by staff and poor management. If you read the comment book and it isn't full of bad comments they have replaced it!

Description
TThe hotel in Nerja Spain, Hotel Balcon de Europa, has an enviable location, in the old quarter the Historic "Balcon de Europa", and the pedestrians centre of Nerja. Overlooking the "Caletilla" Beach, it has a beautiful maritime panoramic view, and it is close proximity to the charming streets of the old town, those of the commercial area, and all the attractions that this delightful town has to offer. Due to its location built into the rock face of the Balcon de Europa, the Hotel's main entrance is via the 6th floor, thus allowing direct access from the hotel bedrooms to the beach and the surrounding area. A peaceful and exclusive atmosphere pervades the property; the public areas are spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff and the owner of the property create a warm and friendly welcome. My wife and I spent 10 days there over a New Year. We know Nerja well and had used the hotel's bar facilities many times. The location is excellent (largely why we booked there) and the New Year all night meal very good. My parents-in-law enjoyed the restaurant - we did not. The hotel caters for Thompson's tours and the age profile of the guests was high (even to us in our mid-fifties). The restaurant was an expensive disappointment - we were rushed through mediocre international food and decided to eat in the local restaurants (excellent) instead. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the hotel no doubt caters well to its market. It was a good price for its location and service was friendly. If you do not like package tour type holidays stay elsewhere but use the hotel's cafe and bar during the day.

Description
This hotel is located about ten minutes walk from the town of Nerja, where you can find plenty of shopping and entertainment venues. The Villa Flamenca is located in a residential area of small, typical Andalusian-style houses, only 300 meters from the main beach in Nerja. With a prime location on the Costa del Sol, yet not your typical apartment building area of beach and Nerja has managed to retain its charm by offering villas, narrow streets and, of course, the "Balcony of Europe", stretches along the bay on a rocky outcrop where you can admire the magnificent views. The architecture of Villa Flamenca both at home and its exterior is attractive and functional in the typical Andalusian style. The hotel consists of two parts: One is a newly built (1996), and the existing one has been completely renovated. The hotel is quiet and welcoming our guests return year after year due to its friendly atmosphere, homey and comfortable.
