The staff on recepition specially Maria was horrible, she was rude and all but blamed us for an error in the hotel booking, left us to sort it and had us up and down the stairs with luggage, we were left with not wanting to stay but too late in the day to change. Resturant staff were kind and smiling, If it was my hotel I would put the rusturant staff on the front desk, their english was better and they had a smile

Though located in the suburb, the travelling time from Moscow center is only 1/2 hour and it's reflected from the price tag. Quite a lot of foreigner lived in but no night lives around here (which is good for family indeed). Security is quite good and some cheap dining is around. The free wifi in our floor area (not advertised) is definitely a plus. I will rate a 75/100 to this 3-star hotel.

Queen Bed was very uncomfortable (two single beds put together without support between them). The worst part was the linens and towels. They were very rough and tough. The provided shower gel and shampoo/conditioner was unsatisfactory. However, the staff was extraordinary and helpful, speaking both Russian and good English. Also, you should not have to pay for internet. The free internet was basically unusable (very slow) so you have to pay for the faster internet which will run you about $10/day. Great location (to metro and center of Moscow). No good grocery stores local.

Great things about this hotel: location, price compared to other hotels in Moscow, cleanliness, breakfast food, food from restaurant; convenient business center to print, fax, scan, etc.; some staff members were very helpful and polite.
Not so great things about this hotel that somewhat diminished our experience: some staff helpful, others indifferent or condescending; loud dance music during breakfast time that was quickly turned down by staff when asked, but why does one have to ask?; free internet was very slow in that some websites would not even load; had to order room service one night when I was sick because there were no non-smoking tables in the hotel restaurant (food was slow to arrive but very tasty); room temperature was too warm and there were no room temperature controls, causing us to open the window, but then smoke from smokers and cars came into our room, even on the 7th floor; few outlets for charging computers, camera batteries, etc. (particularly given the fact that that hotel was built in the 2000s)
We were glad that we found this hotel, as it was in our price range and had a great location, both of which are difficult to find in combination in Moscow. In all, it was a good hotel. However, several issues diminished our experience and made our stay there frustrating and difficult (e.g., loud music, hot room, smoke smell, etc.). I am not sure whether it gets that much better in other similarly priced hotels in Moscow, though. Service orientation overall is still lacking (I've traveled to Russia several times over the last 15 years), unless you can pay a high price for it.

I stayed at this hotel 2x (16 days)over the past 2 months. Didn't get the points 2nd time because I booked through 3rd party website. That was a hassle to get incidental points. Staff was nice & spoke English. Bar is overpriced (as all hotels in Moscow). Hotel Food was terrible, but good restaurants nearby (The Patio serves Italian/Japanese cuisine) and Krushka Bar is close and fun with cheap drinks. Metro is 5 minute walk. Hotel was clean & good rate. Internet speed was good in room, but slow in lobby-no wireless in rooms. Nearby convenience store stays open late. Disappointed that they state on the wall that they have Executive Lounge, but one doesn't exist here. Overall pretty good--no major problems. You get a pretty good experience for what you pay for--just eat out. I would stay here again. TV sucked--slow to change channels & limited channels. 3 of us stayed in 3 rooms and none could even get CNN.. You shouldn't stay in hotel watching TV when in Moscow anyway, so it didn't bother me much. 1/4/2011

This is a great mid-budget hotel which is a short metro ride to the center of town. The metro station was less that 5 minutes walk away, and the subways run CONSTANTLY. Our rooms were modest but adequate. The hotel is very safe. There are many amenities in the hotel, as well as right outside. We ate at many of the small local eateries and shopped for snacks at many of the 24hr groceries, all within 2 blocks of the hotel. If you stay at any of the Izmailovo hotels (they are all situated together), make sure you go to the Izmailovo market.
CAVEATS:
1. Everyone smokes everywhere in Moscow. Even though our rooms were on a designated non-smoking floor, I was woken up on more than one occasion by the smell of cigarette smoke drifting into our room. The upside is that all the windows open, so you can air the room, to some degree.
2. Not all rooms have air conditioning, so if you are visiting during hot weather, make sure you request a room with a/c.

A business-friendly budget hotel

This hotel is part of a four-hotel buildings complex that has been built for the international guests of the Moscow 1980 Olympics. Hence the planning is soviet-style - cramped rooms, although not as in Paris:). This specific building has been completely renovated and is now Best Western. Overall a good value, although if you mind getting around by metro, the traffic in this part of Moscow is heavy (easily 45-60 mins to Kremlin on a weekday), so plan accordingly. The scene outside is glum, except for the Ismailovskiy Park adjacent to the hotel. In reality a blue-collar neighborhood. I have stayed only in First Class Queen Bed room (OK) and in First Class Suite (1BR), so don't know what the econ rooms are like. The 1BR suite is really a nice option, nothing matching in Moscow in terms of value. But I hate metro, so the commute in traffic kills the fun for me and I am not likely to stay here again.
There is a 24hr room service and restaurant downstairs, and the whole 4-building complex hosting over 1,000 rooms in total, there is plenty of 24h convenience mini markets, cafes, etc. Some working girls always in the lobby, although 3s and 4s at best. But on a weekend there is an amazing flea market in Ismailovskiy Park, worth a visit, and overall for tourist class, I would think this is one of the best options, as metro is super efficient and scenic!

Stayed NY holidays. Great hotel, great service. However, to book the health Spa was €100 per hour and no swimming pool in hotel or neighbouring hotels as advertised. But overall, a relaxing, pleasent and value for money location!
