Overall the hotel was good, comfortable, easy to be there for 8 days. but they charge way too much for water (even by hotel standards) and at the end of the week, they snuck in lots of extra charges which in my mind were definitely not by accident. they double charged for a tour and room service they just added random items at will.

This is a clean 3-star hotel. Don't expect any more facilities like a gym, sauna or swimmingpool. It's just a clean room and that's it.
Breakfast is overpriced for a country like Romania with 12 euro pppd. Some of the staff is nice, others were very formal. Location is ok, but not the best. Good for bussiness, but for fun it's better to be near the Lipscany area (old town), which is a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Overall... I enjoyed my stay for a good price.

the hotel itself is very good. It is behind the Hotel Royale and this you would need to know in order to find it. No-one knew where the hotel was situated and you need to be sure you say NH Bucharest and not just NH. It is a little bit away from the centre but not too far. I wouldn't recommend to lone female travellers but fine for anyone else. Very clean and friendly and modern used by business folk as well as pleasure. It is close to Union Square and the University (last stop on the bus from Bucharest airport)

Also ich war für eine kurze Zeit in diesem wirklich guten Hotel. Ambiente, Restaurants, Personal, Zimmer wirklich top! Was mich aber extrem genervt hat und das wird ein Grund sein NICHT mehr dort geschäftlich zu übernachten, ist die I-Net Situation. Die wollen doch wirklich fast 20 € pro Tag an Gebühren oder ein teureres Zimmer mit I-Net an den Mann bringen?!!! Finde ich absolut daneben. Jedes Hotel in Bukarest was nur die Hälfte an Zimmerpreis aufruft hat I-Net inklusive.

I stayed at the Marriott in Bucharest with a large group of friends on our way to attend a wedding. While I wouldn't call it "luxury," the stay was comfortable - particulary the beds.The staff at check-in were all very helpful and friendly, as was the concierge when I asked her to mail a package for me. It wasn't until check-out that I encountered an apathetic employee who was unwilling to properly assist me: Even though I made a pre-paid reservation online, this young man brusquely (and incorrectly) told me that what I previously paid was a guarantee that would be credited back to my card, and that I had to provide payment at check-out. At no point did he pause in his demands to double-check his information. [...]

Hotelli sijaitsee melko rauhallisella alueella kuitenkin vain hetken kävelymatkan päässä vanhasta kaupungista ja keskustan aukioista. Henkilökunta teki todella parhaansa asiakkaiden viihtymiseksi, hotellin kuljetuspalvelu vei poislähtiessä kentälle halvemmalla kuin normaali taksi. Aamiainen oli riittävä vaikkei ylellinen. Huone tosi siisti ja hiljainen, ikkunasta avautuvat maisemat eivät ole kovin avarat vaan kapeita kujia, mutta maisemiahan on muualla kaupungissa riittämiin. Olimme todella tyytyväisiä jo toiseen vierailuumme.

A friendly staff who went out of there way to provide great service. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was GREAT!
It was a short walk to a tram to the city and its many attractions.
This is a REAL value for money spot! There was a nearby restaurant (200 m) which had good food at very reasonable prices.

This was great. I stayed in an apartment right in the center of the city and it had more-than-ample furnishings. The washer and drier were amazing as I had been traveling for some time and was able to do laundry right in my house. Thanks!

The historic center, although not large and currently under renovation, is a charming labyrinth of narrow streets, medieval remains, elegant shops, antique dealers and traditional stores. Great Hotel. Great prices for food (I paid 20 Euro for a complete meal) and a wonderful free breakfast to match. The staff were very friendly. If I needed something, they made it a priority to secure it. I will stay there again!

The hotel has no parking facilities. This is an adequate hotel in central Bucharest.WS1208 The building is quite austere in appearance in the style of 1950's Romania. It has recently been painted and decorated. The hotel Central is in the very heart of the city on the main shopping avenue. Many theatres and cinemas as well as casinos, summer restaurants and pubs are close to the hotel. The metro station and trolley bus stop are no more than 2 minutes' walk from the hotel.

This is a new boutique-style hotel. It is perfectly located in the centre of Bucharesti, mere steps from the best restaurants, clubs, tourists attractions, and much more...yet the rooms are very quiet. Also, the AC works very well! Plus the buffet breakfast is very good. Two internet stations downstairs in the lobby and free Wi-Fi ensure your connections to the world beyond. Plus the hotel staff is very helpful.

The impressive exterior of hotel Capitol paints a somewhat deceiving picture of a hotel needing renovation, but nevertheless has a prime location and is clean and functional.
WS0711 The whole exterior of the hotel has been completely renovated. The white 19th century building looks hugely impressive when lit up at night. Hotel Capitol has a prime location in the centre of Bucharest, situated on one of the busiest streets possessing many shops/bars/cafes and close to all of the historical attractions. Public transport links are plentiful (metro/bus/trolley bus/taxis) and the airport is a 20 min drive.

bus, tram, and subway (metro) stops within 2 minute walk from hotel

An excellent hotel with very helpful and pleasant staff. Good breakfasts and room. Aircon works well and the balcony is really an add-on .
dont feel afraid of the dogs on the street as they are no threat unless one walks too close to the property they guard.
All in all I rate this hotel as very good. will come back again for sure.
