Welcome to Parador Costa del Mar where you can enjoy a fabulous elevated ocean view alongside our swimming pool or from your room's balcony while you enjoy the fresh mountain breeze in a private atmosphere. Hotel is located on a green mountainside in Panoramic Road 901 that touches the warm blue waters of the Caribbean Sea in Yabucoa. In one of the scenic places of the southeast corner of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Hotel have 16 fully furnish rooms with air-conditioning, tv satellite, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, phone and private bath with amenities, which 12 have an ocean panoramic view. Costa del Mar offers the guests a spacious pool, sun tanning terraces, gym with sauna for two persons, game room, basketball court, hammocks area, maid service daily, free parking and wireless Internet access. Enjoy the gorgeous view to Vieques island and the Caribbean Sea.

Nice Little Place!!!

The Parador is less than a hour South from San Juan, it is very quiet, the staff is friendly, the room was very clean. It is less than an hour drive to any of the eastern Puerto Rico locations. The view is incredible!!! It has a nice full breakfast (not just continental), for lunch or dinner you'll have to travel to another close by parador, the drive is about 2 minutes and they are open till 9:00 pm, which is also where the beach is. Otherwise you'll have to drive anywhere from 10-20 minutes, which is still not too bad. The room which I stayed in was not 2011 updated, but it is also not supposed to be!!! For the price you can beat it!!! It is meant as an old fashioned bed & breakfast type place, could not connect to the internet at all, but I also did not ask about it either. The room had a small fridge, microwave, small sitting area with table, armoire with a small tv, full bath with shower, (2) night tables with lamps, plenty of outlets to charge phones, cameras, laptops etc., the AC is activated with the door keycard in order to save electricity (within 10 minutes the room was nice and cool), queen size bed with (3) pillows, slider door with an awesome view, two chairs on a small balcony. We did not try the pool, but it looked very nice, with separate shower and bathroom area, as well as small children's play area, and half size basketball court. There was plenty of parking, and "lagartijos" small lizards, (they eat insects all night and day long, they don't bite and are possibly the best fed on the island; I guess, they were pretty big, lol. Did not see any insects or evidence of in the room, a plus!!!! Especially in the caribbean!!! Did not see any of the larger "Gallinas De Palo" Green Iguanas, that are all over the place, these I believe bite if molested.

A peacfull experience

This hotel in the south east of the main island. It is in a quite remote, peaceful location so if you look for a place to stay for the night life, this is not an hotel for you. However, the view is purely amazing, with the plain ocean if front of your room and the Vieques island in the background. The pool is great, the staff is very friendly and the price too. You however do need a car to move around. The beaches on the south side looked great but we did not have time to fully explore them.

Great Family Stay

Rooms were good, pool was great, and breakfast was excellent. We knew of a very private beach nearby and had relatives in the area, so the lack of a beach at the hotel wasn't a problem.

Decent room, decent price

This hotel was a little tricky to find in the dark (I took a late flight) and about 1 1/2 hours away from the San Juan airport. Everything that you'd go to puerto rico for (the rain forest, snorkeling, kayaking the bay, the night life) is about an hours drive away; up the toll road highway. Very nice room. There is not much to do in Yabucoa especially if you don't speak spanish. But it would be a great place for a quiet get away. Very quiet and peaceful. If your going to Puerto Rico and your 18+ and single, stay up around Isla Verde, San Juan or Fajardo. You will have much more fun with much less driving.
