WALKING AROUND OR SITTING IN THE LOBBY..VERY SAFE HOTEL. THE RESORT AREA
AND THE BEACH WAS CLEANED BY STAFF.
SALSA MUSIC WITH LIVE BANDS AND DANCING
FRIDAY, SAT AND SUN EVENINGS WERE FUN.

Good location - right on the beach and very close to airport. I was upgraded to a Jr. Suite that faced the ocean. The room was huge and very nice. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to enjoy much of the hotel, as I arrived at 8pm and had to leave at 9am, but the pool looked nice and there are a few restaurants within walking distance.

This hotel was perfect for our purpose. We needed a place to stay which was close to the Airport which is where we were being picked up for our cruise the next day. The room was spacious,clean & comfortable. The hotel was quiet. We didn't hear any airplanes. The was great dining within short distance.

The Water Club is right on the beach! Great partial ocean view, big white room with blue lights, waterfall in elevator... This hotel does not lack creativity! My only complaint is that our room was right next to the elevator, so we heard that all night. It looks like it was a happening spot maybe 10 years ago... Definitely needs some upgrading. I was disappointed because the pool was closed... Maybe renovating !?

Friendly staff, located in an urban and safe area. Right across from the Carolina beach.
The hotel has three restaurants on-site and the food is good for the price. Also, check out 'Mi-Casita' in the adjoining strip mall; it has awesome food at a reasonable price.
On the downside, the hotel room didn't have a microwave, would have been nice. The room clearly had plumbing problems, we had to request assistance on one occasion. However the staff were extremely quick in responding and alleviating the issue. Air conditioning was also suspect, the room seemed to get way too cold. But, we promptly opened the windows and didn't bother complaining. In all we felt the staff is extremely responsive and goes out of their way to help if one does request assistance.
I must point out that we aren't extremely fussy travelers, we were looking for a safe, comfortable stay with dining options so that we could focus on what we actually traveled for: enjoying the Caribbean. Verdanza fits the bill nicely.
This is an awesome place to stay for the price.

Enjoyed the grounds, staff, amenities and food...The hotel was very nice and the grounds were luxurious, but it appeared to cater to conference attendees and business travelers rather than the leisure resort traveler. While we were there, the hotel booked a major conference that overtook the grounds and closed most of the pool area off to other guests. Management was responsive to our complaints, but it was unpleasant and disruptive nonetheless.

The staff and hotel are great. Very clean and attention to detail is spot on! It can get a little crowed at the pool with people reserving their spots early in the AM and not showing up till the afternoon. The beach is the best bet.
We made a reservation to go on a zip-line trip for the day at the hotel tour desk. The trip was great, but was surprised to learn that we were charged more because we were staying at the Ritz. The people from other hotels were charged less for the trip. That is just wrong! It is a shame that such a hotel with high standards would let this happen.

One of the lower end hotels I've stayed in, even back in college. The room was actually clean, but the sheets on one bed were ink stained and torn. There were mosquitoes in the room, but no evidence of other pests. The hotel does have a run down and well used feel to it, but it did appear clean. The air conditioning was loud and the only adjustment was on/off. The staff was friendly and helpful, but again, it is not a high end hotel. It was an "experience" for my young boys. I would only stay there again for the same reason we stayed: a short night, close to the airport between connecting flights. For this purpose it was satisfactory. We felt safe, close to the airport, close to "food" and were able to get a hot shower before jumping back on a plane.

when we arrived at Coqui Inn we thought hold on here is this it. we registered and got our room. The staff showed us the room and we couldnt believe it the room was small and the sink was falling off the shower was dirty and the door only had one regular lock on the first floor outside, the stove also was to close to the bed. So we decided to call [...] to ask to be changed to another hotel but had to wait till morning, so we went to the front desk and ask for our room to be changed. Before we got settled we changed our room two more times the last time was better, things worked the remote had batteries the shower worked also. Overall the trip was nice. We will be going back to PR but maybe we will try another hotel.

The service was good, but from the previous reviews I was expecting more. The wi-fi is not free and its somewhat expensive to pay for. I liked that it had free parking for our rental and free continental breakfast with a decent amount of options. We got there and requested a king size bed and the accommodation was not available so we ended up in a bedroom with two double beds which are too small in length for us. Aside from these things it is in a great location near restaurants, beach and airport, has a pool and basic necessities to have a place to stay and go out and explore.

The staff members were very friendly and helpful. It's a pretty hotel and very convienent to the beach area. Have a great BBQ area near the pool to order from and the food was good. The hot tub wasn't very hot. It's roomy and the bed......like a cloud to sleep on. Would stay again.

Honeymoon stay in San Juan

We started off our Honeymoon in Puerto Rico at the Intercontinental in San Juan. This place was fantastic. Upon arrival they upgraded us to an ocean front room - very impressive. The pool is excellent and the beach is gorgeous. There are also lots of little restaurants within walking distance that were quite tasty. Definitely would stay here again if we go back to San Juan!

I have to say that we have stayed at many wonderful hotels. This hotel staff was so freindly, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. The staff was exceptional. The food at the hotel was expensive but there are plenty of restaurants in the area and the staff is more than willing to make great recomendations.

Hotel was okay but staff was limited in mornings. Overall a good stay no major issues if you like simple but great view a great place to stay. Close to many restaurants and shopping. We would come again if founds a great deal.

Honestly the room needed a lot of work. We are simple travelers and don't mind staying at cheap hotel rooms. The beach front seating and bar are beautiful at their worst. Tiki torches and candles add to the romantic feel. We lost power for a few hours and the staff promptly appologized and gave us a discount. It looks as though the management/owner wanted to make this hotel the best beach destination they could and did a fine job. Hopefully they continue to get funding to add to the hotel rooms. They are simple yet pretty but need work to make people feel more comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great beach location and aren't concerned with simple room amenities like great water pressure and nice rooms. The bed was clean and the room safe but lets just say it's like a motel 6 with a fantastic beach.....

After a very short drive from the airport we were at the hotel. The staff was courteous and receptive. The hotel was clean and modern. The room was basic but it had everything we needed to base our vacation right there for 5 nights. As soon as we cheked in we walked across the street to the beach. It is great to have Carolina Beach, the upscale neighborhood, and all the food choices within walking distance. Lots of American food chain restaurants and a bunch of local places as well. The only dings are for the pool being cold, and the air conditioning being too cold on the 6th floor and our room. It had two settings, off and freezing cold.
But all things considered it was a great location. Even had a Walgreen a block away. From here you can find a number of car rental places
