4 Estrellas muy correcto con muy buene relación calidad/precio. Edificio completamente nuevo en su interior, cómodas camas aunque excesivamente cálidos nórdicos, con el inconveniente de no poder dejar sólo sábana.
Enfrente tiene buen lugar para desayunar, o mejor en la cercana "praça Carlos Alberto".
El paseo del hotel a Ribeirinha permite un continuo descubrir monumentos. La subida de regreso, mejor en transporte.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the area around the hotel looked strangely deserted and run down; we were quite worried we had chosen poorly. How wrong we were. The hotel is is a very quiet neighbourhood right near the city centre; we walked there through mostly shopping strip in two minutes. The interior of the hotel and the facilities were excellent. Only hesitation was the strange bacon on the breakfast buffet.

Très gros hôtel, situé dans un quartier assez dégradé mais à 200m du métro et 20mn à pied du centre.
Très agréable piscine couverte au 19ème étage (7,5 euros avec sauna et hammam), très bon petit-déjeuner buffet.
Parking payant en sous sol.

This Hotel was very well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. For instance, they helped us with restaurant suggestions and reservations and with booking day tours. The food was also very good, if a bit expensive. My only two complaints were that, first, the hotel is located a bit far from the main tourist areas, so one had to take a cab or other transportation to get to the sights. This added considerably to our expenses. Second, the hotel double charged me for the room, and I had to spend a good amount of time once I returned to the U.S. in order to get the problem solved. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

A small but very nice hotel very close to the old port. They do have a parking garage at the hotel which is a plus however it is very narrow and we needed the staff to back our car out for us! Very friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast ok, clean rooms and big, lift, good location, air conditionair (for hot days), TV small but with channels in English, as CNN and BBC. Negative points: internet service is charged and expensive, the windows in the room are high and no good view and make the room a little bit darker.

Un hotel tres bien situé et malgré tout au calme!
Par contre, il a perdu de sa superbe (voils de fenetre tachés, carpette vieillotte,...)
La premiere nuit, soit disant à cause d'un soucis electrique ds la chambre reservee, nous avons été logés dans la derniere chambre de libre: au bout du couloir apres la porte incendie, 8 m² à tt casser, pas de seche cheveux, pas de frigo, heureusement que nous etions fatigués!
Les deux nuits suivantes, nous avons par contre été relogés et nous avons eu le frigo, le seche cheveux et....une terrasse! Toujours agréable!
Ptit dej acceptable... On notera qd meme le jus d'orange frais! Mmmmmh!

Gorgeous historic riverside hotel in Porto

We had a river view in this wonderful hotel, right over a lively square (although the room was remarkably soundproof). The front desk staff were helpful and kind. The bar had a somewhat limited supply of drinks for American tastes, and the attendant was a bit limited in English (unlike the front desk), but she did her best, and we didn't go away thirsty. The location is steps away from good restaurants, tourist attractions and shops.

A very pleasant experience, I was fascinated by the history of the hotel. The nicely preserved olde worlde charm of the ground floor (lobby, bar, restaurant) are not matched by the upstairs corridors and room, which are rather bland by comparison. The location on the Rua Santa Catarina is perfect, and only a 10-15 stroll from the river. Metro station about 200 metres to the north. At €70 p/night for a twin room it's ideal for a brief city centre stay.

Teniamos reservada una habitación de cama doble y nos dieron dos camas separadas (no se pueden unir). Una vez llegamos a la habitación la ventana de la misma daba a una pared y no tenia nada de luz (5ª planta). Baje a la recepción y le dije si no nos podian cambiar la habitación a lo que me contestaron que las habitaciones altas eran más caras. Lo peor de todo es que me dió a entender que si tenian habitaciones de cama de matrimonio pero que como habia cogido una habitación de oferta en el ultimo momento no podían darmelas ya que eran más caras. He reservado muchas veces a traves de [website], y nunca he tenido este preoblema pero la proxima vez pensaré el hacerlo a traves de otra página. En el hotel le hecharon la culpa a [website]. El personal es maleducado y las instalaciones son caducas para un hotel de 2 estrellas ya no te digo de cuatro

Las instalaciones necesitan una reforma. Las habitaciones no son muy grandes, pero están limpias y en el baño tienes de todo, incluso secador de pelo. La situación del hotel es perfecta, y el desayuno en la azotea con vistas a la avenida dos aliados es algo excepcional.

Wir waren 3 Tage in Porto, Hotel liegt zu Fuss in der Nähe vom Boehlo, und 20minuten von Ribeira.In der Nähe von vielen Restaurants,Cafes und Geschäfte. Grosses Standartzimmer mit grossen Bett und Tip Top Badezimmer.Einrichtung bissli alt. Frühstückbüffett hat alles was mann braucht,frischer Aufschnitt, Rührei mit Speck usw. 3 Kellner und ein Koch.Super Bar in der 17.Etage mit guter Live Musik am Wochenende.Preis Leistungsverhältnis auf jeden Fall erfüllt.

More a 3 star than a 4 star hotel experience. I stayed 5 nights. Spacious room and comfortable bed and pillows, but with old tv. The remote control would turn off the tv but not turn it back on. "hot" breakfast limited to scrambled eggs and slightly warmed shredded bacon. Other breakfast selections were fresh and adequate. One hour free internet available in the business centre with key to unlock the booth available at reception. Location is fairly convenient to the old part of town, but you will need to walk uphill back to the hotel. Beware of the claim that the hotel is ´just around the corner´from Trindale Metro station - it can be a bit tricky to find if you are arriving the first time and/or at night. With luggage will take about almost 10 minutes. DM Hotel - fine for one or two nights. For longer, stay closer to the sites to save walking or spend more and enjoy a classier experience.

Pour moi et mon mari tout était parfait pour cet hotel. Une belle chambre avec petit salon séparé (genre suite). Murs et portes bien isolés (aucun bruit ne filtrait). Un personnel acceuillant qui parlait aussi français. Un buffet à notre gout pour le petit déjeuner. Excellent modern hotel, only complaint

Excellent modern hotel, only complaint was lack of power plugs, had to pull out lamp to use jug or computer. Breakfast had great selection. Right opposite Trindade metro although a bit uphill with bags but then Porto is all a bit uphill. A very pretty city

Designed by the architect Nasoni and built in the mid 18th century, the Palacio do Freixo (Freixo Palace) is one of the most remarkable examples of Portuguese civil architecture from the baroque period. The Pousada has preserved the entire facade of the palace buildings, which became a National Monument in 1910. I cannot fault this hotel, it is a pleasure to stay in, fantastic building, fantastic grounds, great views and the staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you. Possible the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in.

Very cosy hotel and quite cheap for what it is. Not in the center though but a very short taxi ride away.

The hotel is located at Avenida da Boavista, 15 km away from international airport Sa Carneiro. Quite close you will find Casa da Musica, Museu de Serralves, Green City Park, Cristal Palace and Gardens and Livraria Lello. Walking distance to several attractions like cinema, shopping and restaurants.

The room was comfortably large enough for two persons, clean and tidy. The personnel was nice and helpful. The selection at the breakfast was rather modest but the meals were tasty and sufficient. I can recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a price-effective accommodation.

観光の中心に近くロケーションはとても良く、設備もとてもよく、なにより部屋が広かったのにとても満足しました。遅く着いたときに日本語のできるスタッフが応対してくれてうれしかったです。
レンタカーで行ったのですが、坂が多く狭い一方通行の多いポルトの街中でナビを持っていたものの到着するのに難儀し、最後は地元のひとに車で連れていってもらいました。

One of the best Holiday Inns I have stayed at.
Modern-clean and a very friendly/ helpful staff.
Wish my stay could have been longer.
Pretty exhausted after overnight flight and although 10.30a.m. aroom was found straightaway.
River and town 5 minutes away by taxi.

Melia Gaia Hotel Porto is very good value for money!
Nice food and nice view too, and the tube station and El Cortes Inglés is in the near of the hotel.
