tolles hotel, super aussicht über lissabon, buslinie 711 direkt vor der haustüre, der fährt direkt in die innenstadt, im 19. stock befindet sich eine sky- lounge, wo gratis getränke und kaffee konsumiert werden kann (problem: die nachfüllung ist aber mangelhaft in der sky-lounge), die öffnungszeiten des kleinen wellness-bereiches ist von 10.30-21.00, also nicht ideal für einen gute morgen start, ansonsten ist das hotel zum empfehlen

there was a problem with a free wi-fi, otherwise it was a wonderful place to stay. breakfast was great, it was quite far from dontown but was at the first stop for hop-on hop- off busses. by the way, do not get tickets for lisbon sightseeing bus, get portugal sightseeing or yellow bus. a very clean hotel.

Hotellihuoneemme oli oikein viihtyisä, sängyt loistavat ja kylpyhuone oli suuri (kahden naisen kauneustuotteet mahtuivat hyvin sinne). Vessassa alkoi soida rauhoittava musiikki heti kun sinne meni. Ilmastointi ja radio toimivat seinänäytöltä. Henkikökunta oli palvelualtista. Internetiä saimme käyttää ilmaiseksikin aulassa, vaikka siitä olisi hinnaston mukaan mennyt maksukin. Aamupala oli runsas ja sisältyi matkamme hintaan. Hotellilta oli kyllä pidempi matka keskustaan, kuin tuo ilmoitettu 700 metriä. Ja me mielsimme shoppailu-, ja ravintola-alueet keskustaksi. Hotelli sijaitsi oli rauhallisella kadulla. Mikäli matkustan vielä Lissaboniin, varaan luultavasti taas saman hotellin.

While I was in Portugal I went to Sintra, Bixia (the center of town), and walked around the city near the hotel. It was amazing! Sintra is absolutely beautiful and the castles are just amazing.
The trip was fantastic and it was very very easy to get around. The hotel was located in an excellent area and was not far from anything. It was very quiet and beautiful.

Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral.Die Metro Station San Sebastiao und das Corte de Ingles-Kaufhaus sind bequem in 5 Minuten zu erreichen.Sofern es möglich ist, sollte versucht werden ein Zimmer mit Balkon zu bekommen.

the room was a little small, however the service was fantastic. The pool was warm and relaxing. The spa was very nice and the prices for the treatments weren't bad. A five minute walk to the zoo. I traveled with my one year old and it was a little cramped but I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was just as beautiful as in the pictures. If you wanted to watch television, movies, or use the internet there was a fee. Initially I didn't like this but I went on vacation to see the city...not watch television so it actually wasn't that bad. When booking this hotel I thought breakfast was included but once I arrived at this hotel I found out it wasn't. Although I thought the breakfast was pricey don't let that discourage you...it was DELICIOUS and worth the price! The Spa was the BEST spa I have ever been too. There is a beautiful and tranquil solarium that has a jacuzzi hot tub, multiple water massages, walking foot massager, and sauna. All this is available while you wait for your chosen spa treatments. The in-door pool is beautiful. There is a gym as well that looked nice...I didn't actually go in. The hotel is pretty close to everything you need to see and there are stops on the tour buses that are within walking distance. Overall, I would give this hotel 5 stars for it's beauty, location, food, staff, spa, etc. etc. This list could go on and on! I would definitely stay there again...

We were on a European trip (Germany, Austria, France) and decided to go to Portugal. We did not know what to expect because we really didn't look into it. The hotel was unbelievable. Everyone went out of their way to help. The service was amazing. We didn't get bathrobes in our room and when we called it in someone brought them within 5 min. Breakfast was fantastic. Everything was super clean. We took advantage of the pool and saunas. We also used the hotels airport transfer service. They were very punctual, very helpful and super nice. I would stay here again.

I went to the palace of Sintra on a day out, I thought the palaces of Versailles was really good, but Sintra is something else, we also visited Fatima & Nazare, lovely day, but you would want a full day in Sintra.
The river cruise on the Tagus is very nice.
Overall great trip.

Good location with clean room and excellent breakfast. [...] with the check-in desk was very experienced and helpful to provide some local infromation. It took us almost 30 minutes to have the billing statment issued by the ladies with the check-out counter on our departure. I think they were lack of experience with their computer. Overall, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

We really enjoyed Lisbon and the hotel. We stayed for 6 nights and took side trips from this central location. This hotel is north of the city center, but you can walk to the center in 15-20 minutes or take any of several buses or the metro (all within a couple of blocks)to get to the center. You could also cab, which would only be about 4-5 euros. The hotel desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we had was beautiful and spotless! We had a nice view of the buildings across the street and on one evening, the sunset. The bed was very comfortable (request a couples bed if you don't want twins),and the BR was very spacious. One suggestion would be to bring your own hairdryer. They have one in the BR, but it is not powerful. Be sure to bring an adaptor. Many reviewers complained about the breakfast. There was beautiful breads and croissants daily. There was scrambled eggs, cheese and thin waffles as well. I would not eat the meats, but for some they may be OK. My husband thought the coffee was quite good. The juice is out of a machine and weak.There is also cereal and yogurt. All in all more than adequate to start your busy day of sightseeing. Besides, by 11 you will be stopping for a bica and a pastel de nata! If you want to be in the thick of the tourist action, this is not the holtel for you, but if you want a lovely hotel at a great price, this is it. A great restaurant Torio is around the corner. Excellent Portugese food and wine!

I chose this hotel because I thought it would be nicer than a budget hotel, like Ibis. However, there was not much difference. The best feature was that the Internet was included. When I entered the room: (1) long diagonal crack on the window, (2) desk chair with wobbly leg that seemed ready to collapse, (3) weak air conditioning. The reported the first two because I didn't want to be blamed for damage. I reported the air conditioning problem. On full blast, virtually no air came out of the vent and the air was just above room temperature. The desk clerk said he would have it repaired (he did not want to change our rooms even though the hotel did not seem very busy). The next day I asked the same desk clerk who did not report the problem. He came to my room, put his hand next to the vent and said that my air conditioning was normal. He said the hotel had weak air conditioning. They have a minibar policy that guests should be cautioned about. You can only get coffee if you go into the restaurant. Bed was worn and needed to be replaced.
This hotel is not close to the airport and not close to city center. Poor location.

The hotel is very good. The Shearton in Porto is better. Better probably because it is newer. This one is nice. Pleasant personnel always with a smile and ready to assist you. Some of the pleasantries of life (wifi) are really expensive in this hotel and should really be supplied without cost to the visitors. However, I probably would stay there again if I go to Lisbon for another holiday. Really convinient location to the subway, bus and taxi transportation. Easy walk to the the port and the old section of town. Harder to go back to the hotel as it is all uphill.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is not much going on around the hotel but it is a 2 minute walk to the Metro. If you get comfortable using the Metro, Lisbon becomes a very accessible city.

Hôtel situé à côté de la ligne de métro et du magasin El Cortes, ce qui permet de faire des courses pour manger ou petit déjeuner dans la chambre.
Personnel très sympa et toujours disposé pour renseigner.
Mobilier un peu vieillot, canapé usé et déchiré, literie moyenne.
Rapport qualité prix, ce petit hôtel est très bien.

Das Apartment ist sehr groß und gemütlich eingerichtet. Bequeme Betten, schönes Badezimmer. Nur ca. 5 Minuten von U-Bahn Station und Corte Ingles (Supermarkt) entfernt. Ideal für Stadtbesichtigung. Einflugschneise zum Flughafen (wie wahrscheinlich überall in der Lissabon), aber keine Problem, wenn man ab 6 Uhr Fenster schließt.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits à l'hôtel Alif Avenidas. Au nord de la ville, le métro (situé sur le trottoir d'en face !) nous mène en plein centre en 10-15 minutes (4 stations). Le quartier est calme et silencieux même si un grand centre commercial est situé à 300 mètres derrière l'hôtel.
Le personnel est très aimable, disponible et discret. La literie est bonne, tout est neuf et la propreté est irréprochable. La chambre était spacieuse. Il y avait quelques travaux sur un chantier à proximité mais honnêtement nous n'avons pas été réellement gênés par le bruit (pas avant 9 heures). Nous n'avons pas profité du petit déjeuner, nous nous rendions en centre-ville pour y prendre un café et une pastel de nata !

close to the metro, but a great walk down to the harbor, hotel staff was very helpful, breakfast was amazing. Rooms were small but efficient, who stays in the room anyway. Everything was clean and neat. I'd stay there again

Reichhaltiges Frhstck, sehr guter Service, Metrostation ca. 50 m entfernt - Basis fr einen gelungenen Kurzurlaub. Bedingt durch den Verkehrslrm kann man allerdings nicht bei offenem Fenster schlafen, aber die Schallschutzfenster funktionieren vorzglich.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The rooms were more spacious and modernized than they were last year in 2010. Breakfast was included and is mediocre. The breakfast staff avoided me after I asked for more coffee and weren't prompt about cleaning up after customers during the busy hours of the morning. The area is convenient to the San Sebastian metro station, a beautiful walk/bike path and shopping at El Corte Ingles. There is a cafe doors away from the hotel that has quick and convenient meals. I do warn any visitors that the hotel's parking garage is ridiculously small even by New York standards and while street parking is pretty good in the quiet neighborhood, our car was broken into while parked almost in front of the hotel door! The reception staff was not helpful in giving directions, sympathy or support about the situation.

Bei unserer um 01.30 früh konnten wir keine Mängel feststellen.
Erst am nächsten Tag stellten wir fest, daß die Air-Condition in unserem Zimmer nicht funktionierte. Wir meldeten es bei der Rezeption. Für nächsten Tag wurde zugesagt, daß ein Techniker kommt, doch da reisten wir schon ab. Alles in allem können wir das Hotel sehr empfehlen, schon wegen seiner ruhigen Lage und wegen
seines Service.

The historic city centre of Baixa-Chiado, Bairro Alto, Rossio and Restauradores is only 15 minutes away (4 metro stations).
Parking costs 7,50 Eur per day (aprox., including VAT) and the hotel does not make previous reservation of parking space.

Remarquablement situé (Fondation Gulbenkian, 2 lignes de métro) calme, avec un personnel accueillant, nous retournerons volontiers dans cet hôtel.

Description
Hotel in Lisbon city centre. America Diamonds Hotel s privileged location makes it the perfect starting point for meeting Lisbon. It allows a quick access to important points of tourist interest such as Marqués de Pombal Square or Eduardo VII Park. The hotel is raised in an old building, totally renovated in 2006 to offer all the comforts of a urban hotel that, at the same time, is perfectly well communicated with the rest of the city and the airport by metro and by bus. All these reasons make it highly suitable for both business and leisure trips, offering car parking nearby the hotel.
Notice: The Triples are Double rooms with extra bed and they can be done with single bed as the Twins rooms (2 beds + the extra one) or Double (1 double bed + the extra one).

Description
You will find the SANA Malhoa Hotel right in the city center, next to the Praca de Espanha, so handy for the El Corte Ingles shopping centre and really close to the Metro. Contemporary, spacious and cosy environment.
