The hotel Tivoli liberdade is well located at Avenida Liberdade, with a metro station within a few yards. The staff is always there to help you and all the main attractions in downtown Lisbon at a walking distance. It sounds like the hotel was just renewed as you could smell fresh painting, which was not that pleasant. I'd definitely recommend and stay again at the Tivoli Liberdade

För att vara ett 3-stjärnigt hotell blev vi väldigt positivt överraskade. Rummen var ganska stora och fräscha och bor man några trappor upp som vi gjorde har man härlig utsikt över hela staden. Bra läge där man antingen kunde promenera ner till tex Bairro Alto på 20min eller så tog man t-banan (som ligger 5-10min promenad från hotellet) som gick direkt. Skönt att inte bo i smeten men ändå så nära och ett bra lugnt område.

Cet hotel 4* est de bonne qualité. La piscine située dans un parc et la salle fitness sont partagées avec le 5* à tenant. L'hotel est a 50m du métro et 15mn à pieds du centre. Le personnel est à l'écoute et les petits déjeuners trés copieux.

Great hotel for the centre of Lisbon and nicely set back off the main road. Best in summer when the pool is just a lovely place to be. Bar was being refitted during my stay, which is a shame for me, but I'm sure it will be better than before for the coming season. Food is generally good, although the restaurant which is attached to the hotel attracts fashionable non residents, but sadly sometimes the food does not live up to the price tag.
Would recommend and probably go back.

Located at the top of the hill at the upper end of Libertad, you get a great view of the city. Very nice hotel, with a decent restaurant. It's quite a walk to the old town but downhill, on the way back you'll want a cab. Thought it was a bit pricey, but there was a convention in town. Free wifi. Avoid the park after dark, Anywhere people are in Lisbon, be careful of pickpockets, I was victimized.

We did a lot of research before selecting this hotel and it paid off. The location in the downtown area made it very easy to walk to many places, including the public transportation hub. The size of the hotel was small and intimate with the overall feel being unique rather than "chain". The staff took great care in answering questions about eating, transportation, etc. I wish I could find a hotel like this in every city!

Free breakfast from 7 to 12pm! Not continental, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, ham, turkey, cheese, olives, yogurt, cereal, fresh coffee with warmed milk, espresso machine, freshly squeezed orange juice. I can't remember everything but it was great.
Great staff, with perfect restaurant and fado restaurant recommendations. They actually reimbursed us for a funicular ride, our trip on the train to Cascais, and our bus to the airport! I'd never heard of such a thing. And always with a smile.
The room was nice, we got a free upgrade to a superior room, I'm not sure why, but it was fantastic.
The location is hard to beat. It's about five minutes to the Bairro Alto, on one end of the Rua das Portas de Santa Antao, which has all these wonderful cafes, close to Marques da Pombal and Largo Rossio. And we actually walked to the Castelo in 15 minutes or so.
Highly recommended and satisfied!

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly and our room was great. The balcony was very large and a couple of the nights we enjoyed wine and cheese on the terrace. The hotel was modern and was very clean. The bathroom was very nice as well and spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location of this hotel was good as well, it was easy to catch a tourist bus and the walk down to the center of town was very short about 5-10 mins. Also it was close to the Barrio Alto which is an area with small st and lots of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is in quiet and safe area. I would easily stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is on the main street in Lisbon and within walking distance to many of the main sights. Great hotel overall--the view from the balacony in our room was the only complaint.

I really want to go back to this hotel again! It is the opposite of bling, and the essence of quiet and perfect service in an unbeatable location whether one wants to travel by taxi or by bus, tram or metro. The reception rooms are very elegant, the bedroom I had was really comfortable (it didn't have a trouser press but I'm sure that facility would be provided immediately if requested), the breakfast buffet was more than wonderfully comprehensive. The bar food was exactly what I wanted. The staff are so courteous and thoughtful and will go to endless trouble to help you. A great place.

新しいホテルなのでとてもきれいで、ホテルのスタッフの方もとても親切でした。空港からもそれほど遠くないので朝早い出発でも14ユーロですみ、フロントの方も15ユーロを上限にするように話してくれたので安心してタクシーにのれました。朝食はあまり内容的にもよくなかったのが残念なのと、道を一本はいった場所にあるので分かりにくかったです。年始だったので値段は高かったです。

Overall very good - staff was very helpful, room was clean with lots of room. We got there early and had no trouble checking in - was even upgraded to a suite. Only complaint we had was bathroom had a sewage smell and wasn't very easy to move around.

We arrived early to leave our baggage and the staff couldn´t have been nicer! They asked us to wait for a few minutes longer so they could finish cleaning up an upgraded room and let us have our much-needed shower and nap after an overnight train! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the pool welcome in the summer heat. A very quiet part of town, but close to the subway, which made it magical. Get a metro pass and go anywhere easily. Strongly recommend this good value for Lisbon.

Es kommt natürlich drauf an, was man persönlich erwartet. Wir sind da eher einfach gestrickt und sind froh, wenn das Zimmer sauber ist und die Lage zentral. Und diese Bedingungen waren auf jeden Fall erfüllt.
Der Service war gut, sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gemacht und es war einigermassen sauber - auch wenn da noch Potenzial vorhanden wäre.
Die Zimmer sind eher klein und müffeln ein wenig - es ist halt ein älteres Hotel, was man nicht nur an der aus der Mode gekommenen Einrichtung bemerkt.
Wir haben bloss im Hotel gefrühstückt. Das Buffet war reichhaltig und gut. Allerdings herrscht zu Stosszeiten etwas Platzmangel, da muss man flexibel sein und sich schon mal mit Fremden den Tisch teilen :).
Wie gesagt ist dafür die Lage der absolute Hammer, vorallem wenn man auf einen kürzeren Städtetripp ist und voll auf Sightseeing aus ist. Zentraler geht wirklich nicht mehr.

staff s very nice but everyone acts as if this is their first day on a job. so you can imagine when you put it all together. One very embarrassing incident was when we asked reception to send someone to help us with our bags - two young fragile and friendly girls came to drag our suitcases... One does not know what to do in situation like this... very awkward you don;t want to say nothing yet you feel you should not call for help...
Also star rating is off here this is not and can not be 5 star. First wen you arrive glass door are shut closed no one to help open you have a bunch of bags... then just after you entered there is a flight of stairs?! Where did you see 5 star hotel with set of stairs and doors shut closed with no one to peon for you... Hotel is stylishly decorated but it is obvious that this was done by someone who have never been in hotel himself... Things must be "user friendly" functional etc. For example you have clean bathroom but imagine shower without a place to put soap or gel or shampoo it's got to go on the floor and you can easily slip etc. stylish but no function. In addition all sinks are huge water splashes all over walls someone who have never seen functional normal bathroom designed this... stylish but no function. In addition they advertise as wi-fi hotel but it is not working and staff did not know this till day or two later.. they are all nice but confused and see disoriented!

Having never been to Lisbon before, we didn't quite know what to expect. The hotel didn't disappoint. Just off the main road, on a quietish side street, the decor was beautifully done and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The Britannia was excellent in evey way EXCEPT that we were led to belive breakfast was included and were then very unpleasantly surprised to be charged 84 euros, or $122.64, for a total of 6 breakfasts. That works out to $22.44 per breakfast, which while adequate, certainly was not lavish. There was no mention of a charge nor was thre any charge listed anywere. Very disappointed in this situation.

Excellent hotel right on the main artery (Avenue Liberdad) in Lisbon.
No problem with noise as they have very good double windows. Only slight problem was that although the room was a non smoking room, someone had smoked in it.
We had a fabulous room with a view over the trees of Av Liberdad right to the water and also with the castle.
Breakfast was excellent.
Easy to get to with the airport bus, which stops nearby.
Staff went out of their way to help.

Altis Suites is a hotel with an apartment setting, and comes equipped with a full kitchen (stove, microwave, dining utensils, mini fridge). That said, the hotel does not provide any internet service and offers some sort of an internet service through another vendor, which is just a headache to deal with. It's the 21st Century-every hotel should offer internet! The pullout sofa bed is not recommended for adults. Be prepared to shop for groceries if you are planning to cook. It's in a great location, and was a pleasant stay overall.

we went to lisbon for sightseeing.we found the location of the hotel very handy to marque de bombal where you catch most tour buses and other means of transport.

Hotel is nicely situated within walking distance of tourist activities. Rooms are modern but small. For example, there is practically no space to store or open your bags. Bathroom is luxurious and nice but suitable only for couple stay.
