Wir waren vom 14.-23.10.2011 im Hotel Pestana einquartiert. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich; die Reception hat sich immer sehr bemüht (Abschlagszeiten reservieren etc.).
Das Zimmer ist i.O.; entspricht jedoch nicht 5 Sternen. Im Zimmer unserer Bekannten waren jedoch die Vorhänge zerlöchert.
Die Pool-Anlage ist unsauber und ungepflegt. Die Liegestühle sind dreckig und viele sind defekt. Überall liegen Zigarettenstummel herum und Geschirr wird nicht abgeräumt.
Das Personal im Frühstücksbereich ist sehr, sehr unfreundlich. Hier fragt man sich: wer ist Gast? Auch hier ist alles dreckig und ungepflegt.
Eindeutig fehlt im ganzen Hotel die FÜHRUNG. Die Mitarbeiter werden überhaupt nicht überwacht und es interessiert niemanden. Auch unser Feedback vor Ort hat nichts bewirkt; man ist nicht einmal darauf eingegangen. Ähnliche Erfahrungen haben wir auf Port Santo in einem Pestana gemacht.
Unser Fazit: never again Pestana!!!

The Barrocal Villas & Apartments rest in the small village of Pera near the lively resort of Armacao de Pera, just a 5 minute bicycle ride to the spectacular Praia Grande beach on the vacation paradise of the Algarve. Featuring a group of 20 villas and 32 apartments composed of either one or two bedrooms, this 3 Star property is a comfortable base for couples and families wanting affordable accommodation close to a host of activities and attractions, including plenty of golf at the Ocenico Nick Faldo Course, the Oconnell Course and the Salgados Course.
Albufeira and Portimo are just a 10 and 15 minutes drive away and Faro International Airport is approximately 55 km from the hotel.
Local Tips: The hotel is perfectly positioned for visits to the historic town of Silves with its Castle. Also check out the Salgados Lagoon for an ideal place for bird watching and cycling.

Food, drink and entertainment: Self Catering accommodation. Barrocal Villas & Apartments has a local pool bar available for light meals or snacks or breakfast. Armao de Pra fisherman's village is just 2 minutes drive and has some of the best restaurants and night life of the Algarve.
Sports, games and activities: Two swimming pools, sun beds, children's pool, tennis court, children play ground, games room, water sports can be practiced on nearby beaches (independent operators).
Additional: Reception, wireless internet in public areas, private car park.
Room Facilities
The Barrocal Villas & Apartments features 20 villas and 32 apartments composed of either one, two or three bedrooms. All villas and apartments are traditionally furnished with air conditioning and Satellite TV, safe (with charge payable locally), and telephone. Each kitchen has a dishwasher and microwave.

The Algarve is now regarded as one of the best golf destinations in Europe, the mild climate allows the golf season extends for several months, bringing to the courses of the Algarve players from around the world.
At a distance of 3 km guests have three golf courses to choose from. Salgados, Faldo and O'Connor Golf Courses.

Dip in our outdoor pool as you take in the coastal panorama, and head down to the beach in front of Holiday Inn Algarve-Armacao de Pera . Go for a stroll on the promenade and watch fishing boats dock with hauls of fresh fish and seafood. You'll be welcomed back to the hotel's sunny terraces and pool bar for fruity cocktails. The hotel is close to the major conference facilities of the Algarve, including the Crowne Plaza hotel in Vilamoura, and the commercial centre of Faro is less than 1 hour away by car. Description
The hotel Quarteirasol reopened totally renovated as a modern 4 star hotel, being an excellent choice for those who whish to be close to the beach, to amusement and to relax, being the ingredients for a fabulous holiday in the Algarve, in a comfortable and familiar hotel. The entire interior of the hotel Quarteirasol was carefully decorated, offering an ambiance of comfort and well being. The main Lobby with its soft, sober and detailed decoration and where is located the reception (open 24 hrs), is also composed by various cosy areas with comfortable sofas and the piano bar. At guest disposal there are also the white and black bar with a pool view and the restaurant Mourisco with an offer of Mediterranean dishes. A heated outdoor pool, a health club with gym, sauna and Turkish Bed are complement of the stay of our guests.
