Relaxing Holidays
The Barrocal Villas & Apartments rest in the small village of Pera near the lively resort of Armacao de Pera, just a 5 minute bicycle ride to the spectacular Praia Grande beach on the vacation paradise of the Algarve. Featuring a group of 20 villas and 32 apartments composed of either one or two bedrooms, this 3 Star property is a comfortable base for couples and families wanting affordable accommodation close to a host of activities and attractions, including plenty of golf at the Ocenico Nick Faldo Course, the Oconnell Course and the Salgados Course.
Albufeira and Portimo are just a 10 and 15 minutes drive away and Faro International Airport is approximately 55 km from the hotel.
Local Tips: The hotel is perfectly positioned for visits to the historic town of Silves with its Castle. Also check out the Salgados Lagoon for an ideal place for bird watching and cycling.

Food, drink and entertainment: Self Catering accommodation. Barrocal Villas & Apartments has a local pool bar available for light meals or snacks or breakfast. Armao de Pra fisherman's village is just 2 minutes drive and has some of the best restaurants and night life of the Algarve.

Wir waren vom 14.-23.10.2011 im Hotel Pestana einquartiert. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich; die Reception hat sich immer sehr bemüht (Abschlagszeiten reservieren etc.).
Das Zimmer ist i.O.; entspricht jedoch nicht 5 Sternen. Im Zimmer unserer Bekannten waren jedoch die Vorhänge zerlöchert.
Die Pool-Anlage ist unsauber und ungepflegt. Die Liegestühle sind dreckig und viele sind defekt. Überall liegen Zigarettenstummel herum und Geschirr wird nicht abgeräumt.
Das Personal im Frühstücksbereich ist sehr, sehr unfreundlich. Hier fragt man sich: wer ist Gast? Auch hier ist alles dreckig und ungepflegt.
Eindeutig fehlt im ganzen Hotel die FÜHRUNG. Die Mitarbeiter werden überhaupt nicht überwacht und es interessiert niemanden. Auch unser Feedback vor Ort hat nichts bewirkt; man ist nicht einmal darauf eingegangen. Ähnliche Erfahrungen haben wir auf Port Santo in einem Pestana gemacht.
