Safe and clean.
Very accommodating staff.
No transport service to or from airport but staff will help get a cab as needed.
Great service in keeping our luggage safely and FOR FREE while we travel to another island with just our backpack.

The best part of staying at the hotel was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included in the price was also very good. The things I was disapointed in were the really tiny bar, pool and old rooms. The pictures on the internet are very misleading. I don't mind staying in places like this, but I just don't like the way they make it look bigger and newer than it is. Overall, I probably would not stay again for this price, but the staff was good enough to make me think about it.

Staff are super friendly & helpful. If they don't know or can't answer your query, they find someone who can. The place is very clean, loved the band (easy listening) playing in the lobby each evening. We did indulge in the cakes there, maybe a little too frequently, hey but we're on holiday.
When going out, use the taxi service, it's quick & cheap. Sue couldn't look but these guys know what they're doing.

Checked into the hotel with ease. The staff was FANTASTIC! Everyone spoke and greeted me (and all the guest) with a smile.
The hotel has a nice pool and a great gym / exercise center (that I fully took advantage of).
I had a room that had a great view of the city and the ocean.
The hotel is located directly across from the SM Cebu City Mall, I had aa great stay at this hotel, and will certainly stay at this hotel again on my next visit to the Philippines. Keep up the good work.

Very nice and new hotel. Comfortable, good meals, great friendly service by everybody anywhere in the hotel,.
Location in the rim of the Cebu city, not ideal for vacation, but easy enough to reach beaches by metered taxi ($6-8).
For an afternoon, the hotel pool is great, too.
Next door to large SM shopping mall. So never short of shop or restaurant options.
Recommend especially for business in Cebu.

Cebu downtown is not a place foreigners want to visit. The Marriott is the best city location if you don't want to be by the beach. Safe and excellent staff. Only prob is the food, I do agree..it is sad. Has been for a long time. But the hotel is connected by path to Cebus best mall, two minute walk gives you a large selection of restaurants

My wife and I have stayed at the Days Hotel in Cebu several times and always had a good experience. It is very convenient (less than 5 minutes) to the Cebu airport, so each time we come and go from there, we stay overnight at Days Hotel. The rooms are clean, the parking is secure, the included breakfast buffet is very extensive, though seems to have more lunch/dinner type food rather than the expected eggs and pancake type fare.

The Diplomat was a reasonable hotel. Decent location, with Robinsons Mall and a few decent restaurants within walking distance. Staff were friendly, although seemed a bit preoccupied with talking amongst themselves sometimes.
My room was good, fairly spacious and comfortable. It was old, but reasonably clean. The on-site restaurant was good. WIFI costs were okay, but the speed was pretty slow.
Decent hotel, good value for money if you don't mind a few rough edges.

Nice Property, with some on property features

Lots of nice additional fun things to do at this property, with the top of the building coaster ride, and other fun attractions. If making a pre-paid reservation, be sure to take a printed copy of your reservation certification with you - they'll insist on having a copy (I didn't have mine, but was able to log in and email it to them, which satisfied their requirement). When I next go to Cebu, I will again stay at this property (would recommend this property over the Mactan airport location - the Fuentes Tower location is much nicer than Mactan). Staff seem to be very limited in their ideas on attractions and tourist sites - you'll do best if you research these options in advance through other sources.

A great choice for visitors to Cebu

The staff is very friendly, the hotel is clean and well kept, and the room prices are a very good value.
The food at the restaurant was tasty and decently priced also. Internet in the room is free but they don't have WiFi - which is something they should look into doing in the near future as it's standard everywhere I travel.
The location is close to the airport and SM mall, though you have to take a taxi. It's not the type of neighborhood you should go walking around in, especially at night.

This is the second time I have been back to this hotel. due to the very good service from the time you arrive till the time you leave I was very well looked after. The room was always clean and tidy and the staff are so polite and willing to help. The guys guarding the entrance to were very nice and always said good morning or good evening. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would recommend the hotel to anyone seeking home from home comforts.

Good thing is that it is spacious & swimming pool is well maintained.. But the aircondition is not in good condition and it makes a lot of noise. i booked the room for three and i had only one bathing soap in the room?. and no shampoo ?. the bath towels are too small and can be used for babies or kids like 10 years and under and can not be used for elder people.

I't a nice hotel with friendly staff, just be careful with extras because they will be billed to your room.
There are no free local calls on phone in your room and bottled water is extra if you ask for some at the free breakfast.

Me and my family really enjoyed the stay in your hotel .....the service is so good and the free buffet breakfast is the best because of the variety of food.... The location is the best because it's just on top of the mall "Robinson" and not to forget the very courteous hotel people... We will recommend your hotel to our friends and family who will be passing or going to Cebu... Very good hotel ... Keep up the good job....

Right on top of the Robinsons Mall, so easy to find food outlets. Had problems with the required room not being offered but this was rectified after request. Friendly and helpful staff. A good place to stay but most good eating places are at Ayala Centre about 10 minutes taxi ride away.
Description
This resort is relatively basic, but has complete conference facilities. A range of water sports facilities like swimming pool, Jacuzzi, windsurfing, dive tours, ocean kayaks, wave runners, jet skis, tennis courts, scuba diving and a target shooting range are offered. The beach is nice and long and leads to Tambuli Beach Club West Wing and Cebu Beach Club. Guests staying at Tambuli Beach Club East Wing can use the facilities from both the Tambuli Beach Club West Wing and the Cebu Beach Club. (KC Jul10) The resort is surrounded by the beautiful coral sand beach and palm trees. The rooms are found in 2 separate building where as the lobby or other hotel faculties are also found in all separate units. These cabana style units have typical Filipino style wood with straw roofs. This resort hotel is located on a white coral sand beach, with calm turquoise waters, just 15 minutes by car from Mactan International Airport.

This is a 3 star hotel recommenced for both business and leisure travellers as it is in a lively neighbourhood with shopping and entertainment establishment.(AN Nov08) The hotel is a six-Storey building with a touch of local rot iron designs in the balconies incorporated with a modern look. Its color is an inspired two-tone design of light golden yellow and green shades that stands out and is a perfert mango color motif. Mango Park is situated along Cebu City's main thoroughfare, General Maxilom Avenue. The hotel is conveniently nestled with a few kilometers(4kms) from the Port and Sea terminals as well as a short 30 minutes drive to the Mactan Cebu International Airport. I stayed at this hotel for a week

I stayed at this hotel for a week while in Cebu. I found the staff to be very helful and friendly. As this is not a beach side hotel the rooftop pool was a great place to spend a bit of spare time and just relax. The hotel is just a short walk away from shopping centres and bars in the area. I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again or recommending it to anyone.

Also have swimming pool, gym and function rooms. It is budget hotel good for business or leisure traveller. (AN Nov08) The hotel facade is mustard in color, with seven storeys. The structure is not modern neither historic. The hotel is location in the heart of Cebu, minutes away from the city's best tourist spots, commercial and recreational districts. It's 35 minutes drive away from Cebu Mactan International and Domestic Airport. 15 minutes to major ports.

I visited this resort in January and was surprised at the disparity of mixed reviews I'm reading here. It's true, the resort is a bit remote and and secluded from the mainstream, however for me that was an ideal situation. If you choose to walk outside of the resort, which I did, you will encounter poverty as the surrounding area is impoverished. The people are equally friendly and never once did I feel endangered. The food choices were limited as I heard in the reviews, but I remember the owner was meeting with a Chef while I was there who was evaluating and making suggestions on improving the menus. I don't know where they are with that, but overall I felt it was a reasonable value and I will be booking a two night stay upon completion of this review.

Alta resort is not far from the Mactan international airport. Approximately it takes about 20 mins by the shuttle bus which is arranged by the resort. The driver was waiting for me and my husband right outside of the airport and he took us to the resort even though it was fast midnight. The resort is in the middle of no where but it had everything that we wanted. There was not any hasseling by crowd so we could enjoy relaxing time. All staff members were generally nice and kind but at times they didn't have exact information. Even the owner of the resort was so kind and friendly. He was willing to listen to the guests. There was only one restaurant and a bar which was a bit disappointing but it can't be an object of complaints as it never got busy when we were staying there. Neighborhood was a bit of shocking scene because of poverty but people were nice once you try to know them. All the garden surrounding lodges were really good. The owner of the resort put lots of efforts in it we could see. Over all, it was a good choice to stay there and i am sure that the resort won't disappoint you either.

Decent mid-range Cebu hotel

Location is adequate. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of local shops (tin roof huts selling Filipino food, random hardware stores, a smattering of pharmacies/drug stores) and there are some shopping centres down the road. Take a cab from the front doors if you're nervous about walking about a foot away from dodgy traffic and lots of smog.
Hotel staff is stellar as they are everywhere in the Philippines. Earnestly helpful. Breakfast buffet is served every morning from 6-10ish. Standard fare: fresh fruit, fried/garlic rice, pancakes, pork, vegetables, and they'll make you an omelette if you ask. The food is good and it'll get your day started. Real orange juice seems to be a task to get in the Philippines though.
Rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are comfortable posturepedic mattresses. Air conditioning functions well and uses a remote control, which is handy for when you don't want to get out of bed. TV is decent and there are lots of channels. Balcony has a nice view of the city. Our room had a few tiny ants crawling around but then so do most places in Cebu. It didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay.
Wifi is available in the lobby but not in the rooms.
