Located at the edge of the downtown district. In about a minute, you can be eating, drinking and shopping your way through Queenstown. Also located next to Queenstown Garden filled with flowers and trees. The rooms are nice and clean. Maybe a little small. I recommend getting the rooms with a patio facing the lake. Great place to enjoy some drinks with friends at the end of the day. Front desk very friendly. Seems to be staffed with people from all over the world.

Having just returned from 8 days in the back country of the South Island stepping into the lobby of the Rees was like stepping into nirvanna.
The staff is friendly and helpful and although we were checking in quite early they were able to accommodate us right away.
The rooms are designed to take full advantage of the beautiful lake views and are well appointed and comfortable.
As many of the other reviews mention, the Rees is outside of the town center, which for us was perfect. There is a shuttle into town and the walk along the lake shore takes about 25 minutes and is quite a lovely after dinner walk.
The saddest part of the stay was checking out, we wanted to stay another week.

Bottom line: I stayed in seven upscale hotels while in New Zealand and The Rees was the best.
I stayed at the Rees for three nights/four days while in Queenstown, NZ. The staff was amazing helping me coordinate trips and events, guiding me to what the best attractions were, and just making my experience very positive.
The hotel is about a thirty minute walk or a short drive into town midway between the Queenstown Airport and Downtown Queenstown proper. The rooms look out on beautiful Lake Wakatipu surrounded by mountains.
Everything was pristine when I arrived. The room had it's own fireplace, kitchen, and washer/dryer. The daily cleaning was great making sure I had everything I could possibly need.

Overall rating would be excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Staff were very friendly and provided good service. The only negatives were that the carpet in the room was starting to look a bit tired and the newspaper promised for Monday morning was not delivered. I would recommend the hotel to firends.

My wife and I ended a nine day hiking trip in Queenstown and spent the first of three nights at a prominent local hotel near the shore with hiking friends. We were unable to secure lodging at this hotel for three nights and ended up booking at the Central Ridge Boutique Hotel for our last two days in Queenstown. We both were amazed at the accommodations and friendliness of the staff, it was like we never left Hawaii. The room was large with great amenities and a great view of the mountains. The dining area was very nice along with a delicious breakfast, made for a comfortable experience with other guests, We knew we had made a wise choice in selecting the Central Ridge Boutique when our hiking friends requested ending each of the last two evenings with a glass of wine or tea in study of the Central Ridge Boutique Hotel.

Had a wonderful stay. Only drawback was access from carpark to apartment was up some flights of steps and exposed to the weather. it did not affect us as we had perfect weather but not so good if it had been raining.

The Dairy is located very close to the center of Queenstown and the harbor. Everything from the cable cars to the harbor shops & restaurants is a short walk. It is very well managed and the breakfast is delicious well prepared. Matt, the Assistant Manger, gave us excellent suggestions for dining and highly enjoyable things to do. He was very helpful making reservations. This is one of our favorite stays while we were in New Zealand and we would look forward to staying here again.

Location cannot be beat. Staff is great - very helpful. Lake side rooms are highly recommending. Walls are a little thin and same goes for the floors - noise travels easily down the halls and can be disturbing if people are noisy at night coming and going down the hallways. Heaters in rooms in the M section of the hotel are somewhat fickle and I kept finding myself cold in the room, but otherwise the hotel is amazing and I plan on staying here in the future for sure!!

We could hardly believe that we had got such a great room at this price - especially in Queenstown. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. A lovely, clean airy room - Great staff who offered information without waiting to be asked. We liked it so much that we did not stay in Te Anau as planned - we phoned and booked a room (again)so we could have the pleasure of a good nights sleep in a great location. Excellent parking available too. Money well spent!

家族３人で４泊するため予約したのですが、予約した部屋が大人３人の空間としては狭いのと、２週間の旅行分の荷物を持っていたのですが、指定された車の置き場所から何度も階段を上がり、やっとの思いで部屋にたどり着き、疲れがいっぺんに出て、ここで４泊もできないと、別の部屋に変えるように交渉しました。幸い空き部屋があったのと、２寝室とリビングがあり、食器洗い機までついていたので、助かりました。もちろん差額は当然払うことになりましたが、対応に感謝しています。 ４日間快適でした。

We just got back from staying at Garden Court and found it to be perfect! We had a fantastic view of the lake and the mountains AND the gardens out the other window. Our studio apartment had everything we needed and was very spacious. The room was always clean. The walk into town in perfect, not too steep at all with the garden shortcut!

We had a wonderful stay at the Distinction nugget point. The hotel was wonderful and better than expected. The view of the Shotover river was superb from the rooms, and location was only 10-15 minutes from Queenstown. We liked to get away from all the noise etc, but a car is definetly recommended. The hotel is only a 2-3 minutes from the Shotover jetboats and the popular Onsen private pools (very romantic). We had 2 children with us and the hotel gave us a free upgrade to a suite to make it more comfortable for our stay. Do not think twice about booking this hotel, and we found some great prices.

Very polite and helpful staff. Brilliant view from the restaurant. Comfortable atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area.
We would have liked breakfast included into the offer and possibly the pool use as well because it was reasonable public and not exclusive.

I would recommend shotover river lodge to any one. Lovely room with excellent facilities and private balcony. Felt very much at home there. Although not in Queenstown centre, the bus service was excellent. Would definately stay here again.

Wonderful room with a great view of the lake. Be warned that motel rooms have no view and are very cramped. The walk from town is up a very steep hill so unless you are fit transport would be required

Well appointed and maintained, very private apartment with lake/Remarkables views. Close to Queenstown and airport, very easy to find. Steep driveway and small garage (some units only) were very minor negatives. Great and friendly service. Stayed a week, would have liked longer.

Fabulous accommodation. We will stay here again. Room was good size, and well fitted out. Bathroom was generous size. Attention to detail in all aspects was very high. Professional, polite staff. Portable cot supplied for our daughter and nicely made up. Housekeeping staff even folded her pyjamas when making up the room. If only we could have stayed longer!! See you next year on our annual trip to Queenstown. I will happily recommend this hotel to family and friends.

We had a great experience at Peppers Beacon. The location was great--we could walk downtown, yet a little away from the noise. We had a garden-view 2BR but the hotel was right across the street from the lake so it was just a few steps if we wanted to see the lake. Very nice room for the money thanks to [...].

This is a very nice resort right across from Lake Wakatepu and a very short stroll into the town centre.
Staff we dealt with were very friendly,courteous and had a sense of humour.
The restaurant only catered for breakfasts but had a good selection of food with friendly helpful staff.
The front parking was a little bit difficult to negotiate and we were blocked exiting when a shuttle psrked in the drive to let passengers off, however there is better parking from the back entrance.
Recommended for a stay.

Great suite with view of the lake limited but the plus was that it included the town so it gave a great night view.
We could watch the boat come and go and walk to the town.
The amenities included in room washing machine and dryer.
