Absolutely fantastic. It was better then i thought it would be. The views were great, the room nice and large, the bathroom was sensational, love the double spa, and the bed was huge, it felt like you were sleeping on a cloud. This place has everything you could wish for, including a day spa, swimming pool and fantastic staff that were very helpful.
I can't wait to go back!

Lovely hotel with good facilities. Had a problem with the mattress smelling of beer and when reported it was fixed very promptly. Asked for a baby cot on booking which had to be repeated on checking in and this was promptly organised and was being set up when we entered the room. Staff were excellent.

Anchorage Motel is ideally located on Paihia's waterfront, opposite a white sandy beach. Guest facilities include a tropical garden with jacuzzi, salt water swimming pool and barbecue area. The Anchorage Motel offers fully self-contained suites, many with sea views. Each is designed for comfort and relaxation and all suites are self contained and serviced daily. All suites are equipped with kitchens, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV and air-conditioning / heat pumps. All suites open up onto a balcony / deck area where seating is provided to admire the views. Suites range from Studios which are perfect for 2 adults, through to 2 Bedroom Suites which are ideal for families. Guests also have access to laundry facilities if required. It is a 5-minute flat walk along the waterfront promenade to Paihia Wharf, shops, restaurants and cafes. Anchorage Motel provides ample parking, including boat parking for the keen fisherman while in the Bay of Islands. The motel even has a fish cleaning station. The tour desk can help with any fishing requests, boat cruises to the Hole in the Rock, and trips to swim with the dolphins. Anchorage Motel also offers amenities like: Barbecue area, Reception, Spa Pool, Complimentary Parking, Garden and Boat parking.

Description
A good standard quality hotel. There is an outdoor swimming pool and a small house bar. Excellent budget option for exploring the famous bay of islands. SE0908 A low rise wooden building. The Hotel is approximately 400 metres from the beach and main wharf. Shops and restaurants are within 300metres. Paihia is the main township of the Bay of islands. the nearest airport is Kerikeri a domestic only airport approximately 30 kms 25 minutes drive from the hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days as a base to visit the Bay of Islands area. The hotel was in a quiet location but was easy to walk from the centre of Paihia. Although we did not eat there the restaurant appeared adequate. The friendly and helpful staff were well led by Amay
