Norman, your host, is well educated and travelled and his team of co-hosts are local female university students - the hotel reflects the atmosphere of this lovely college town. Hulmes Court was built in 1862 by the first surgeon and one of the founders of the Otago Medical School. THe neighbouring property, Hulmes 2, is part of the bed and breakfast. The hotel is very close to town but down a side street, opposite a large Girls School, so it is very quiet. The hotel has a range of rooms to suit every budget and room configuration. The hotel also has a variety of twin rooms, and Queen or King with Singles.

Overall we enjoy the stay in this hotel. Location is great and room is clean. The hotel is in city center and it is hard to find a car park near to the hotel for check in. Even if you want to use their valet service, you have to first park your car somewhere and drop your car key at the reception. Although they have a basement car park but it is very small and I found that they actually just park my car at an open car park near to the hotel. The pay and display parking area is free between 6pm to 9am. So you may want to consider to park your car by your own in this parking area instead of paying $10 for the valet service.

The Victoria Hotel is centrally located in the heart of the Dunedin city. It is right next to the Cadbury Chocolate World, one minute walk to the George Street, five minutes walk to the Octagon or Railway Station or Dunedin Hospital, and within 20 minutes walk to the new Forsyth Barr Stadium.
The hotel is newly refurbished with 41 rooms which comprise of Deluxe Studio rooms, Kitchen Studio, One-bedroom Unit, Two-bedroom Penthouse and Superior Suite. It also features a glass-walled lift to the fourth floor giving an excellent view over our beautiful city.
The Victoria Hotel provides 3 Function venues available for conferences, business meetings, wedding receptions and any special events.
The hotel restaurant is opening from 7am - 10 am for breakfast and 6pm - 8pm for dinner daily.
The bar is also available from 7am till late.
Access to the Hotel is via Cumberland Street, oneway system from the south or from St Andrew Street from the north which has secured off-street car parking.

Very contained and comfortable. Close to city centre and Otago Uni hostel. Lots of student noise at night as was the end of orientation week but did not keep me awake past about midnight.

Had a great stay with my partner and baby. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and offered a extra bed for our baby. The room was great,comfy,a view with balcony. We had dinner in the restautrant the waitress on then was great,friendly,helpful and had good talks with her now then bout sightings to see. The food was delicous our baby loved the seafood chowder soup and my lamb was perfect. Great place,great atmosphere,great staff,safe parking,great sleep,great food, great place dunedin, great cadburys too. best yet. Keep it up.

A good suburban hotel, peaceful and quiet. Close to the city centre in an upmarket suburb surrounded by parks and gardens. SE0908 A two storey building in Red brick. A small lobby entranceway is on the main street. Within the City area next to the "town belt" a green belt around the city. A five minute drive to the Octagon in the city centre.

The Pacific Park Hotel used to be the place to stay when visiting Dunedin. It has lost it's appeal. The grounds have not been looked after and the restuarant was closed for January, the time of year when I would have thought was the busiest. We were not advised about the closure before arriving. However the room was very clean and comfortable.
