Bay of Islands Lodge offers elegance, style and luxury in a private, native bush reserve a few minutes' drive from Paihia, the bay's major township. The two-level, cedar-clad lodge overlooks the Veronica Channel and the regular ferry route between Paihia and the charming, historic town of Russell. Your luxury accommodation for two in the Sea View or Bush View Suite includes full breakfast each morning and a complimentary open bar. The owners previously operated the Casuarina Restaurant & Country Inn in New South Wales, Australia, which won the American Express award for the 'Best Restaurant in the Hunter Valley' for three years running. Dinner at Bay of Islands Lodge is highly recommended - using the freshest of Northland produce, locally purchased seafood and local grain fed beef and awarding winning cuts of lamb - dining with Peter and Glennis is a highlight of your New Zea land adventure. Note: Single Traveler Rate - NZ$50.00 net reduction on Double/twin rate. The hotel also provides reception.

Dominating a prime position on the waterfront in Paihia, with Restaurant views across the bay to famous Russell, is the Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge, Paihia. This hotel is the ideal base from which to explore the scenic and historic Bay of Islands. You really couldn't ask for a better location and at the hotel you'll also enjoy an exceptional level of comfort and service. Facilities include an indoor hot tub, restaurant, solar heated swimming pool, guest laundry, games room, gymnasium and complimentary use of bicycles. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was competitive and included a continental breakfast which was able to be upgraded to a full bfast for a small amount. The room was cleaned daily, we stayed there for 2 nights. It also included cooking facilities.
