Really funky little hotel in the heart of Auckland. We stayed in a one bedroom which was really clean, with nice furnishings and fittings and had everything we needed. The staff were helpful with quick service for anything we needed. There is a great little bar downstairs to have a night cap at but we have to be honest and say we ducked next door to the Pullman to eat and drink as they had a lovely big lounge there which was a little more relaxing than the Quadrant but otherwise we fully enjoyed our stay here and will definately be back to stay here again.

Just a few blocks from the Airport Express bus which you get right outside the terminal, this hotel had all I needed for my stay as a single woman. Comfortable, clean and I felt very safe and well taken care off in every aspect. I got a late checkout and they took care of my bags until I was ready to leave by the airport bus, right on Queen Street. Couldn't have been better!

very modern hotel with hip furniture. It is very central and give you access to everything in the city to almost walking distance. I was at 11th floor with a very opened view and view on City Tower. The staff was very effective and courteous. I really recommend.

We really enjoyed Sky City Grand -- we were really glad we were in the Grand side because it was much quieter in the lobby, etc. than the Sky City side. Our room was nice -- every amenity was provided-- except internet! We were supposed to get a half hour free each day, but were never able to get online. The message kept telling us we had already used our allotted time. Bummer. We were able to go to a local McCafe for internet with breakfast. Other than that, no complaints. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay- service was excellent and the room was clean and tidy. Enjoyed the bars and other services of the hotel. Would strongly recommend to anyone wanting a place to stay.

Unfortunately the entranceway does not do this hotel justice in that it looks a bit gloomy, however, the rooms are immaculate, the facilities in them are first class the views of the city superb and everything appears to be brand new. We were delighted to have a spare room to put out our laundry (having been away for a week already) and 2 balconies. Skytower is only 10 mins walk and the seafront just round the corner

Well laid out and comfortable two bedroom with a nice view. Minimal, but workable kitchen for breakfast and cold beer. Comfortable mattresses for all but me (it was too firm for me). Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Parking easy but did add up (although cheaper than the other options and offered in/out service).

we were so surprised and happy we decided to stay at the Chifley Suites, the staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room itself was huge, nice living area, large bedroom and great bathroom with all the amenities. We wanted a great view and we got it! Up on the 21stfloor,a full view of the harbor and the tower, walking distance to the tower and harbor area, very close to local busses.
Our room was very quiet at night, we could not hear any street noises, even with the living room window
open. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the city!

Just spent a couple of nights here and were very impressed. The Reception staff couldn't be more helpful and the facilities in the flat were excellent. Very spacious 'apartment' on the 23rd floor with lovely views towards the harbour bridge. Would have liked to stay longer.

Handy to Harbour and Qeeen St and Britamart

We booked at this hotel because our cousin had stayed 2 weeks previously and we saw her appartment which was very good, couldn't have been better. She was on 26th floor which probably did not get as much noise from the street below.
Our room looked really nice went we went in, but then I went to the bathroom and when I flushed the loo the whole panel (with the buttons to press) fell out. The people before us must have been very heavy handed and pushed it too hard, then put it back so it didn't show.. I don't know why the house maid didn't notice when she cleaned the loo . Then my wife saw that the bed was lobsided and we found that two legs were off at one side. These things were fixed when we reported them and the staff were quite good about it.. We think someone very heavy and rough must have been very active at that side of the bed!!! We were on the 8th floor and it was noisy from the street being Saturday night. I think it would have been quieter higher up.

The hotel was great for the value but lacks the amenities you expect from a good hotel. It was very plain in the room, a small TV, no wash clothes, and no pictures. I would probably upgrade my room if we were ever to stay their again, but for the price, it was a great deal!

Was pleasantly surprised and definitely very happy with our stay, the hotel was recommended by a friend who had stayed there with their grandchildren and they were very happy with their stay also. We didn't use room service or the Zest restaurant so can't really comment on them. It was great not to have to worry about parking as that was included in our package. The places we wanted to go to were within walking distance so we didn't need to use our car for two days. We highly recommend Citylife Auckland A Heritage Hotel if you want to stay in Auckland.

Perfect location - right in the center of downtown Auckland! Can walk to Viaduct, Britomart, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. You get a serviced apartment with full kitchen, washer and dryer (they even provide laundry detergent!), 2 TVs, lovely balcony.
Reception is staffed 24/7. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. Excellent value for what you are paying.

We stayed aat Bianco for 17 days, and were quite satisfied with the stay. we had a two bedroom standard apartment which was adequate for the four of us ( 2 adults, 2 children age 10, 7 ). The convenience of dishwasher and washer /dryer was great. Front desk staff and housekeeping staff were friendly and cooperative. Apartment was clean. Kitchen was well equipped Location was excellent , it is just a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Ferry terminal and Sky tower, and most downtown Auckland attractions. Overall the location was safe. We would stay here again.
Cons: The living room couch could be updated, and the flat screeen TVs are quite small. Parking spaces are small until you get used to it.

Very good locations. Besides being the centre of shopping and F&B, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. There is also a bus terminal for long distance near by.
It is recommended to stay for conveninece, but if stay a week or longer, apartment type hotel would be better as it provides kitchen and better price.
Staff of the hotel were OK but lacks of explanation. For instance, a staff asked me to sign on a blank credit card. When told him that I already paid , he just asked me to sign again without explanation.
There are some other similar occations, too.

The hotel is in a good location in a decent neighborhood, really easy to get to and from. You can walk to Britomart transport station in 15-20 minutes, and there are lots of restaurants and shops around. The rooms aren't anything exciting, but pleasant and clean. They have limited free wifi in the lobby, and you can pay to have broadband in the room.
My biggest caution would be the restaurant--it looks (and smells) better than it is--the flavor of the malaysian dish I had was great, but the texture was weird, the meat rather fatty, and the rice overcooked.
The hotel also seems to be very popular with groups (particularly in their early 20's) so occasionally the lobby is completely overrun.

The hotel room was a bit small, but it wasn't an issue since it was just me there. It was also really cold when I got in --- there's no central heating, though there were two portable heaters in the room for my use. Once they got going things were good. The shower was nice. Everything was overall clean.
The location of the hotel is fantastic - it's very close to Queen Street and the Skytower (easy walking distance - downhill). The front desk staff were very helpful in answering any questions I had and pointed me in the right direction when I was looking for various things.
The price was fantastic for this level of hotel - I'd stay here again.

Third time I stayed here, (2nd time in Tower Block), overall service has improved but still not 100% for this kind of Hotel.
Airconditioning not that great so had to have balcony doors open to cool room overnight, but room was ok apart from stained carpeting.
Overall average I would say.

Apart from getting my name wrong for the booking which I don’t think was their fault these guys rock.
I was upgraded to Directors Suite which was on the penthouse level. Amazing views, superb accommodation, a breakfast to die for and great service. Highly recommended

This hotel is ideally situated in downtown Auckland. Transport is extremely easy from this location.
The hotel has been designed perfectly and was extraordinarily comfortable.
The staff was warm and gracious throughout my stay.
The complimentary continental breakfast was delicious and included a variety of items.
I would not stay anywhere else in Auckland.

Tips:
-Prearrange your travel to the hotel if you are flying into the Auckland airport, the taxi got me for $150nz dollars! Call the hotel and they can arrange transportation.
-This hotel does not have bath tubs although the shower unit was luxurious
-You will have a washer/dryer combo that works great in the bathroom but the manual doesn't tell you to press the buttons in to see your washing selections pop out
-Stunning view of the Auckland skyline, the ferry is within 10 mins walking distance and a bus stop is literally across the street from the front entrance of the hotel.
-The staff was outstanding and incredibly helpful on anything from electrical outlets to helping you figure out the public transportation system.
-The hotel information book in each room is usually terrible but take the time to read the one at this hotel, it armed me with so much information, really outstanding, every topic I could think of was covered.
-If you will not be using public transportation, invest in a rental car with GPS, although the Oaks has a fantastic view of the city, it's about a 15min drive each way and hiring a taxi will break you quickly because taxis are unregulated so their rates can be outrageous.
-Each room has everything you need in the kitchen to go to the grocery store and eat in but the hotel staff recommended the most high end grocery store and I had to ask what the cheaper stores were, don't be ashamed, everything there is at least twice the price of stuff in the USA.
Overall, fantastic experience!

Spent three nights in a one bedroom. Room was Euro modern with all the needed amenities. Hotel has a lounge with happy hour. Across harbour from CBD with views of entire harbour that were wonderful. Took ferry to CBD (hotel provides tickets). If have a car the hotel is easy access to northern wine country and Devonport. Staff was super friendly and very helpful.

The Langham is a wonderful hotel with extremely attentive staff, a nice location, and a very comfortable room. Best bed we stayed in during our vacation in what was our fourth and final hotel with turndown service and lots of nice amenities. Only complaint is that like most hotels in New Zealand, the internet is not free in your room. There are free computers down the hall, but you have to pay to use the internet in the room which frankly doesn't make much sense. Otherwise, a great value for your money and probably the best hotel service I've ever seen.

I returned to book my last night in Auckland here because the staff are dependable and very nice and the location is easy to get around where I wanted to go. Some of the rooms are older and have a smell that will air out once the window is open, however the rooms are very clean. There is free wifi for 20 min a day and a computer kiosk to pay and use for longer periods of time ($2/15 min).

We found the Spencer on Byron Hotel to be good value for money with the parking included in the tarrif, having a full kitchen and laundry. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay there again as it leaves the other choices of accommodation over on the shore for dead.

A comfortable stay, close to most places of interest. Hotel staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. Perhaps a little cramped for two adults and two small children. Parking is on site, but first in wins - if you're lucky. Room service is quick and meals of fair value. Not outstanding but good to sum it all up.
