I had a very good experience. I decided last minute to change to this hotel because of the location and it paid. It is in the heart of Villahermosa with banks, eateries and sights within easy walking distance.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Free internet and water. Will stay again in the future.

Checked into this hotel as the others were full and I was offered a good deal. Centrally located and walking distance to the La Venta museum park.
Recently fully renovated rooms which are very very very nice. best walk-in double showers I've seen outside of south beach. Nice furniture, hard wood floors, flat screen TV, fully stocked bar, safe, coffee machine etc. Only drawback were the very very firm beds. I had dinner in the restaurant downstairs which was excellent if a little pricey compared to the local street restaurants.
Wireless worked very well in the room and I was at the very end of the floor.
Hotel provided shaving and toothbrush kit that I had fogotton.
Check in took less than 4 minutes.
Check out took 2 minutes, Unfortunately I was charged my room rate again by the hotel after leaving despite them knowing it was a package on check-in. This was refunded by my credit card company and also got involved and informed the hotel about the mistake.
Taxis are easy to get outside the hotel. All the staff and service were excellent. Very good value for money, and very nice clean rooms. I would stay there again.
This was my 50th country to visit in the last 40 years.

My second time staying at this hotel, the location itself was great its located on one of the main streets so you have everything close by. It is attached to their mall so you pretty much have everything close. The service was great, if i get the chance to go back definetly staying at Camino Real again

We stayed at the Quinta Real earlier in the week, so we had something to compare it to. El Camino Real didn't have the impecable service as La Quinta or impressive decor and rooms, but it had everything you needed in close proximity and a great pool. There was a small mall next door, and grocery across the street, and lots of admenties in the hotel. Great, if you are looking for accessiblity and convience versus a santuary.
