Malecon Hotels in Veracruz

Good location, staff very helpfull, big room with excellent comfort and very clean. I will recommend this hotel for sure.

This hotel was recommended by our daughter, who stayed here previously. What a great tip! We were very happy with the location, staff and cleanliness; not too far from the airport or bus station. The price was reasonable for all the hotel had to offer. The location was within walking distance of a multitude of restaurants, shops and attractions. We did not need to use a taxi. The pool was beautiful and well appointed. The room view was spectacular overlooking the Gulf. The room itself was large enough, clean and very well cared for. All the amenities for a traveler were in place and the beds were quite comfortable. The Business Center was welcoming and helpful. The check-in staff was friendly, attentive and easy to communicate our inquiries. There was always staff available to help us, when needed. I intend to stay here again when visiting Veracruz.

I went to Veracruz to close a business transaction. The hotel was very nice, so was the buffet brakfast that I enjoyed a lot; unfortunatelly, it was not included with the room price. I think the charges for local and toll free long distance calls were too pricely. Would have been nice if the hotel had provided more than one courtesy small bottle of driking water per day. The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful.

The hotel is small (three stories), but it is well maintained and very clean. I picked the hotel because I have stayed at other Fiesta Americana hotels before and the quality was the same as I had experienced previously. The rooms were a nice size, but nothing particularly special about them. The shower head shot everywhere, which was somewhat irritating. There was no internet service and the TV did not have HD and had limited programming. We had been assigned a room with two queen beds, but that was changed without a problem upon our arrival. It is best if you are able to speak Spanish since it seems English is not readily spoken by hotel staff. The beer selection could be better and the food and alcohol was expensive considering the lackluster quality. The best foods were the ceviche tostadas and the chicken soup. The pools looked very nice, but the jacuzzi was not hot enough. The best part was the easy access to the beach which was practically empty. There were tons of recliner beach chairs and tables with palapas(outdoor umbrellas)available. The bar service to the beach was excellent. The views are very relaxing, the ocean water was warm and calm. There were few vendors, which was an added bonus. There was a good number of people jogging along the ocean. There are restaurants within walking distance so that was also very nice. There is a small convenience store also within walking distance from the hotel which was nice since even the water was too expensive at the hotel. Azafran is a good restaurant to try, and it's within walking distance as well. Villa Rica Mocampo is a nice seafood restaurant worth the cab fare. Food there was the best. There are cabs the hotel uses and apparently this is a group of about 40 cab drivers who use their private vehicles and are fully licensed by the tourism department and are randomly drug tested. These cabs are nicer than the red and white ones, there are about 6,000 of those. The cab fares are reasonable, about $40-$50 pesos to get to the town center or most places (mall, restaurants). Our ride from the Hotel to the airport was almost double ($150 pesos) instead of the $85 that we paid to get from the airport to the Hotel when we arrived. The beach location makes up for the marginal food quality and expensive prices. There is nothing culturally enriching about this location, but certainly excellent for relaxing and hanging out. I would recommend this hotel.

Everyone at this hotel was nice and friendly. checkin was effortless and easy. Granted I speak Spanish so it helped. If you don't speak Spanish it may be an issue for you. Breakfast is your run of the mill continental breakfast that includes cereal, coffeee, juices, bread, and pastries. It IS INCLUDED in your room rate. Just don't forget to ask for the coupon for the buffet or you will be charged. We would return to this hotel the next time we are in Veracruz. For the price we paid it was worth it. Even though there are better hotels if your willing to pay more. Also, attached to the hotel there is a Subway Shop as well.

The hotel is very pretty and spacious, but there were several minor maintenace details that doesn't allow me to give it a better qualification.

The Holiday Inn Hotel in Boca del Rio is a beautiful Hotel, the sevices in the restaurant was terrible, the room was good because we pay extra money and change the room, the housekeeper was a bad experience, the pool very good, was hard for my husbad because he dosen't speak spanish, and I have to be always with him because only 2 or 3 people speak a little english, the hotel has a lot of potencial but need better empleoyes. The location was very god and the hotel was very clean.

We stayed at the Fiesta Inn for our last 2 days in Vera Cruz, after staying in 2 other hotel in Vera Cruz and Xalapa. This was by far the best hotel for comfort service and dining. Do not stay in the downtown historic center if you want quiet as there is something going on every night til midnight or 2am. There is a Fiesta Inn in Boca de Rio beach area and it is a short taxi drive to the downtown. Taxis are inexpensive. Vera Cruz is hot humid. Weather can change overnight to cool and cloudy.

The good feeling started with the supervised parking lot with a discreet entrance to the lobby. The staff was upbeat and helpful and since Veracruz state, in general gets relatively few American visitors, it was nice to have english spoken at the desk. My room had a vaulted ceiling, large TV (lots of cable channels), a balcony overlooking the waterfront accessed via large sliding doors with gauzy curtains that filtered the brilliant afternoon sun.Even the hallway had a view of the big ships pulling into the port. There was a large bathroom with hair dryer, iron and ironing board and finally, 2 queen sized beds. Everything you might need in town was within a few blocks. Situated right next to the naval academy in the old center of the city, the feel of the area was safe and tidy. All of this for about $100. US. I'd go back in a minute

I stayed with my daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren (2 & 1)for my last 2 days of a two-week visit with them. We found the hotel to be a very good value. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, the food in the restaurant was excellent and all of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff went out of their way to get us some food when we arrived in between breakfast and lunch. My son-in-law and daughter did most of the communicating so I don't know if anyone speaks English which might be a problem for people who don't speak Spanish. The pool was great, perfect for the kids. The hotel is quite a way down the beach which is good and bad. Far enough away from the busy center, but too far to walk to the Aquarium (which cost $60 pesos one way and $50 the other by taxi). The Aquarium was first class, even better than the one we have in Boston! We also went to the Children's Museum which I thought was very good, providing kids with the opportunity to play with real life items, such as a fire engine, grocery store, doctor's office, etc. Two "problems" we encountered with the hotel were minor, I had to prove to them that I had paid through Orbitz. Never ran into that issue before. And, at first we were told that we had to wait until 4:30 to get to our rooms. Somehow that got worked out but we couldn't get adjoining rooms. Overall, we all found this a very pleasant and friendly place to stay and a good value for the money.

The Fiesta Inn Boca del Rio hotel was comfortable and staff members were very helpful. It was close to some of the major attractions.

There are much better options for the price (70 USD) in Veracruz, for this rate the booking option mentioned no view, but I believed that meant no ocean view, not that the only window in the room and bathroom would face a wall 3ft away from the room were no sunlight enters, and you can see the water tubes and cables, and that is it. The toilet was leaking. The only good thing about HoJo was a free good and fast wifi connection.

A simple place to stay an eat At a great price.On the Go was all I needed.

This Hotel was simply awesome!...I stayed there for 4 days and it was really cool for the price! I can't wait for Carnival is super cheap! and a great location...

Very good place to stay in Veracruz. Comfortable rooms and bed´s, always clean and perfect for price. Maybe the staff needs to help more to the people, specially the guys from front desk
