This historic hotel is in the middle of Zona Rosa. The lobby decor is fantastic. The "phone bar" is great. The hotel is conveniently located and easy to access. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is very professional. I highly recommend this hotel for a great time in Mexico City.

The nostalgic hotel is elegant throughout with fresh-cut flowers in the lobby and rose petals afloat in the fountain. Rooms are a bit small, but they have good beds, a table and chairs and a safe. The location is two or three blocks from east/west and north/south arteries, served by bus, metrobus and subway, where 5 pesos will take you to Chapultepec, Alameda Central, San Angel, or the end of the line. It's far easier to maneuver from Hotel Geneve than it is from the noisy, hectic Zocalo.

We got a really good rate for this hotel. If I were paying the regular price, I would certainly expect this hotel to be all that it was. But we had an awesome, albeit short, stay in Mexico City. The W staff was great. They called several times just to make sure that everything was going well, and even asked me whether I wanted complimentary coffee and croissants for breakfast one day. The gym and spa areas are also very nice. Definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Rooms well decorated and services also good. Cleam, everyday maid service in rooms. Safe deposit Box available. Cafeteria variaty of choices. Buffett and a la carte. One thing I was surpriced to learn that parking is not included in the package. Hotel charged me with parking and I resind it. [...] Overall Plaza Fiesta Reforma is a GOOD hOTEL IN Mexico City.

The hotel is near the government center, easy walking. Convenient to subways and buses. English speaking personnel. The regular room is too small. You need double beds or Jr, suite. Try for a street view. We felt quite comfortable and safe. Suggest you bring your own coffie, sugar, splenda and creamer as charges are rather high if sent to the room.

The hotel was good. The staff was helpful. The location was within walking distance to some really good food. We would stay again. My only complaints I was told free airport shuttle ended up 150mxn but was worth it. My biggest gripe was the bed and pillows HARD as ROCKS my wife and I both got headaches from the pillows the bed was expected a little hard but not a box spring on a frame. They only serve breakfast but no worries great food down the block to the right paris cafe. Change out beds and this would be a great hotel. I would and plan a trip back.

Great place to stay for tourists!

Conveniently located beside Benito Juarez Intl. Airport, this is a great hotel to stay in, especially for visitors new to Mexico City. A Ramada representative is located at Puerta (Gate) 4 and will call the shuttle to pick you up if you have a reservation. There is also an overhead walkway adjacent to the hotel allowing visitors to walk to and from the airport. The front desk staff are helpful and kind and thankfully speak English very well, which is a big help to non-Spanish speaking visitors. The restaurant serves a very good complimentary buffet-style breakfast. Clean, attractive, comfortable rooms with excellent bathrooms. Rooms also come with a safe where you may secure your valuables. All hotel staff members are kind and welcoming. I would gladly stay at the Ramada Aeropuerto again!

Excellent airport hotel

Do not expect to feel that you are in Mexico City. You are in one of those "neutral zones" that airport hotels around the world provide. But this one was definitely better than most right from the start. The Ramada office just outside ARRIVALS was staffed by a courteous woman who walked us directly to a waiting van, capably driven by a friendly driver. All of the people working the hotel desk were friendly and professional. The room itself was large, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was open late and provided a menu with an interesting range of dinner choices--definitely superior to most airport hotel restaurants. The buffet breakfast was astounding, offering something for just about anyone's taste. And the shuttle back to the airport was again efficient and friendly.

I stayed at the Camino Real with friends and family for 2nights and was impressed by how clean and luxurious the hotel was. I was definitely not impressed by how rude their staff was. They need major training on how to treat their paying guest or at least learn what hospitality really means, especially is these people are working in the industry. I'm really disgusted on how rude they were. I also bought 2 nights for my family members as a weeding gift for them to stay right after the wedding. I asked about the type of amenities they offered for this type of occasion considering I paid for their "Club" rooms - they simply just did not understand...

CONDESA DF - A terrific experience

  • nicotine
  • Dec 29, 2011
The hotel is situated in the CONDESA "colony", a hip and Bohemian area of Mexico City. The streets feel very safe and you can walk to a myriad of wonderful bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is comfortable, attractive, and off beat in the good sense - as a good boutique hotel should be. There is a terrific rooftop bar that is a destination for city hipsters as well as hotel guests. The rooms are clean, well appointed but small. There are 3 types of rooms. Level 1: Rooms with windows that only give on the inside atrium -- not recommended as they are noisy and do not have outside views and fresh air. Level 2, like the one my wife and I had, have outside windows and wondeful views of the leafy avenues ouside. The third, which I visited but did not stay in have full terraces with table and chairs and are both bigger, nicer and 50% more expensive. My one and only dislike of the room I had was that the bathroom area was crammed and extremely dark, though the shower was especially nice. The staff could not be nicer from the people at the desk to the waiters at the bar. Overall I recommend the Hotel highly though it is not particularly cheap Buen Viaje Nicolas Bernheim, Los Angeles California

The hotel is a great option it is very clean and the beds are extremely comfy! However, reception could be a lil friendlier and it is a walk to the center. however, if u will travel thru taxi and metro it's a great option. oh and their breakfast buffet is a bit pricey and well not delicious enough for $280 pesos a person. overall had a great experience. Would stay there again even if I have to walk. BTW, metro is right around the corner.

We chose this hotel because of its location beside Chapultepec Park and it was perfect. The staff were friendly and very helpful to us, especially since we brought with us very limited Spanish language skills. We did not eat at the hotel since we preferred discovering small local restaurants close by, but the buffet did look good. I would highly recommend the La FiestaMerican to anyone.

Great, but take ear plugs

Historic charm with modern amenities and sensibility. Perfect location across the park from the Opera House. Staff is alert, attentive, and on their game. The night club on the roof can be noisy - they love techno bass, but if you have ear plugs you'll be fine. Cocktails could be better - but beer drinkers were just fine. They booked a reception for the United Nations our last night - and when we expressed our disappointments, the management stepped up to the plate and provided suitable accommodations to end our stay a pleasant one.
