We always stay at this hotel when meeting family or friends arriving in Mexico City. Its location is reasonably convenient to the Anthropological Museum (35 min easy walk) and to the main Zocalo (about same distance). Very friendly staff who all speak English. Bonus: Happy Hour from 6 - 8pm every evening with free drinks and a variety of tasty snacks. The hotel also offers a very generous breakfast buffet. The concierge is happy to arrange private trips to Teotihuacan and other places of interest. Suites are very spacious, quiet and comfortable.

Made group reservation, seven rooms for ten people. The reservation process went flawlessly. The rooms are ample, large living room with coffee and bar facilities, large bedroom with great views of the city, ample bathroom, excellent breakfast included, friendly and courteous service. Good restaurant in premises. Elevators operated by room key add to security. Will go there next time.

We had a fantastic weekend at the W Hotel in Mexico City. The location was great and the staff was super friendly and they always went beyond their normal duties to offer superior service. We had an amazing room with a fantastic view of Mexico City. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Mexico City and did not want to leave on Sunday. The Whiskey bar located in the lobby was awesome too for a nice relaxing cocktail after a long day of traveling. We are ready to return soon to W Hotel Mexico City.

You cannot get a better location than this hotel in Reforma... It is right on the Angel de la Independencia... The hotel is big with lots of good amenities, but I noticed that the hotel needs to be updated as it gives the feeling of being old... A little pricey for what you get, but then again you are paying for the location it is in...
If you ask me, I would recommend it!

FANTASTIC HOTEL!!!!

We had the smallest room but it was more than comfortable. The whole apartment was beautifully decorated, with a fantastic view of Reforma Avenue.
The only concern was the small air conditioner was located in the bedroom was not enough to cool the entire apartment and we had to open the windows at night to cool the apartment enough to sleep. This allowed the street noise and exaust smell into the apartment in the morning.
Even with these small issue I would definatly choose this hotel again.

BEWARE OF CHARGES FOR LOCAL CALLS -- they charge you by the minute and it is not cheap!! no one told us about these charges. Other than that, our overall experience was excellent. Centrally located on Reforma, quick access to restaurants and world class museums. The staff was very attentive and efficient, in particular Israel Perez Martinez at the front desk, who excels at customer service, very efficient, always greets you with a smile and remembers your name. Rooms are very clean, well appointed and maintained, beds are comfortable. Internet acces needs improvement as it is at times spotty.

The main disappointment was the fact that absolutely NO internet service is included anywhere on the property without an additional charge; AND IT'S NOT CHEAP. Even the lobby had no Wi-Fi. I thought this was ridiculous now a days for a hotel of this caliber. Secondly the restaurant food and service was no more than average, but expensive. The room and public areas were great and everything worked well. I would do it again and hope they will provide at least public area Wi-Fi.

Overall the Hotel was nice and well kept. Everything worked and there were plenty of people to serve you. Two things i did not care for were the beds which were very stiff and appeared to be bought for mileage rather than comfort. The other was the internet service which was poor. What I did like was the restaurant near the theater on the ground floor of the hotel and the taxi service with nice cars and nice people.

The hotel is located in a super safe area, and you can actually go out side and have a drink at night. The room is so clean, and there are nice people working.
While we stayed in the hotel, we felt little bit cool during night time, because it was at the end of November, also there was no control to heat up the room (of course?) . Otherwise, I can highly recommend this hotel as one of the best choice to stay in Mexico City.

The hotel is perfectly located along the Alameda, within walking distance of Mexico City's historic sites and popular shopping areas. MetroBus and Metro underground are within short walking distance.
The room is simple, but clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The restaurant and bar are convenient.
I would recommend Hotel San Francisco as an alternative to the pricier hotels in the same area.

A colonial Boutique Hotel (few rooms, personal ambiance) close to the historical city center and next to a subway station. Ours suites were spacious with a stylish touch. Staff was very friendly. Choice in restaurant was limited. Rooms towards street can be noisy. Cool (in both senses) lounge on the roof. No pool.

Had a great time at this fabulous little hotel in Condesa, a great and very safe neighbourhood in Mex. City. The hotel staff are wonderful. One of my favourite things was the private indoor patio outside the room. It looked down on the interior courtyard restaurant and psychically increased the room size by about 100%. We held little cocktail parties there almost every night.
You get so used to friends and people telling you not to go to Mexico City because it is so dangerous. Phooey! This hotel and its surrounding neighbourhood felt like we were in an upscale section of Paris. I can hardly wait to go back.

CONDESA DF - A terrific experience
-
nicotine
- Dec 29, 2011
The hotel is situated in the CONDESA "colony", a hip and Bohemian area of Mexico City. The streets feel very safe and you can walk to a myriad of wonderful bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is comfortable, attractive, and off beat in the good sense - as a good boutique hotel should be. There is a terrific rooftop bar that is a destination for city hipsters as well as hotel guests. The rooms are clean, well appointed but small. There are 3 types of rooms. Level 1: Rooms with windows that only give on the inside atrium -- not recommended as they are noisy and do not have outside views and fresh air. Level 2, like the one my wife and I had, have outside windows and wondeful views of the leafy avenues ouside. The third, which I visited but did not stay in have full terraces with table and chairs and are both bigger, nicer and 50% more expensive. My one and only dislike of the room I had was that the bathroom area was crammed and extremely dark, though the shower was especially nice. The staff could not be nicer from the people at the desk to the waiters at the bar. Overall I recommend the Hotel highly though it is not particularly cheap

Five night stay in July 2012. Room was fine, but looked into light shaft that always kept room dim. Bed very comfortable. Daily room servicing was not well done. They often forgot my room and I had to go to front desk to get situation addressed.
Front desk staff pleasant and helpful. Stay away from restaurant on 5th floor. It is just bad food and service. Quite disappointing.
Location is PERFECT--one block to Zocalo. Money changer next to hotel has best rates I found--better than what ATM offered.

Like some others that missed their flight, we needed a place to stay for the night. NH is an upscale hotel with a nice room. Air conditioning is a little loud and we didn't realize that you need your door key to turn everything on. That's interesting. The room was $180 for us. That's about double than what I usually spend, but it sure beats sleeping in the airport.

We chose this hotel because of its location beside Chapultepec Park and it was perfect. The staff were friendly and very helpful to us, especially since we brought with us very limited Spanish language skills. We did not eat at the hotel since we preferred discovering small local restaurants close by, but the buffet did look good. I would highly recommend the La FiestaMerican to anyone.

The hotel is brand new. As such, it has everything that you may wish in a hotel.
The rooms are ample and with magnificent views, as the hotel is all a glass building. The bed, desk, bathroom, closet space, TV and everything else is perfect.
The hotel has even a sizable swimming pool, sun deck and spa in the last floor. The restaurant is nicely decorated with good food. It also has magnificent views, and even a terrace space
The staff is very courteous and attentive.
If I have to name a negative is the lobby bar, which is really boring, or not happening. However, there is a restaurant in the basement (does not belong to the hotel), called Central Central, which is really happening and usually packed.
Internet is pricey at 185 pesos (or $15/day) and is only for one equipment.
Sometimes the hotel is priced way above similar hotels in the area. But if you get it at a reasonable rate, grab it!

Good place to stay

I enjoyed my stay overall. The only reason the hotel did not get a 5 is because of billing discrepancies at the Risoto Restaurant at the hotel. I got charge anywhere from 127 Pesos to 240 Pesos for the same buffet breakfast on different days!
Other than this, it was a good stay. Friendly staff, good location, clean rooms and a good gym.

I"m really MAD about hotels that ask you to pay for internet. When you pay U$ 500 and up for a room and have to pay 15 to 20 a day for wi-fi is stupid.
When you go to Mc Donals and buy a burger for 3 you have wi-fi free.
At the Four Seasons in Mexico you have to pay.
I will never go to a hotel that ask you for money to use the internet.
