The hotel was as good as can be expected and a bit more. The hotel personnel did their best to make us comfortable and pleased. Nice people willing to do their job. The room was clean and was cleaned every day. Nothing appeared to have been messed with among our personal belongings, so I deem them trustworthy as well, which you can't say about all places. I would give 5 stars for the hotel, but the only problem was that the mini bar in the room was quite pricy. If the prices were halved, it would be still expensive, but bearable to use. I would choose it again if I were to go to Guadalajara again.

Hotel La Mansion del Sol is a small Deluxe Hotel, located in an exclusive residential section. In the GDL hotel area. 3 blocks from Plaza del Sol Mall and 7 blocks from Ciudadela mall. The Hotel was build in 2001 and continues with improvements, constantly. Hotel have 22 rooms, free parking lot, valet parking, housekeeping , room service, amenities, night security etc. The hotel has an atmosphere of tranquility, peace and personalized service is one of best features.
The hotel also offers dry cleaning, library, lobby and reception. The hotel is smoke-free.

Nice comfortable rooms and restrooms are nice very new everything was nice except for overcharging on internet and valet parking by force since you cant park the car yourself.

Very nice hotel with great staff

Business trip. Hotel is in a great location especially if you need to be at the Expo Center or WTC. Secure neighborhood. Good food at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast buffet was expensive (US$21)even though the selections were quite ample.
Hotel has a well equipped fitness center. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is a terrible destination. As it is new and apparently made from cheap materials everything seems flimsy and stinks. The paints used are off gassing to the point of making one nauseaus and dizzy. The rooms are basically made out of flimsy plastic. I would not encourage anyone with a brain ever think about staying at this location for at least another year.
Hopefully by then the noxious odors will have dissapaited.
I had to leave and could not stay there. had to pay a cancelation fee and more $$ at another hotel. After traveling for such a long period of time this was a real inconvenience and GREAT dissapointment for me and my colleauge.

For the money it is first rate. I did not try the restaurant as I spent most of my time out in the city. Business center open 24 hours, very efficient and not busy. Bring your own paper and you can print all you want for free. Rooms comfortable with the nicest mattresses I've tried in 3 hotels in Guadalajara. The only negative was that the power went out for a short time during one of my stays but I was out the door anyway so it didn't really matter. I've stayed there now on 3 seperate occasions and slept well each time. Close to everything by taxi or even buses that travel right in front of the hotel. A friend of mine stayed at this hotel this last week and was amazed at the accomodations provided for the price.

The hotel was very nice and clean. When it came to the team to eat there was NO good food around to eat, and whatever you would find was super expensive! There is als NOTHING to do around there. The only thing nice around that area was the hotel! The maintenance woman Lupita was very nice and helpfull also very trustworthy! Our airline left all our luggages in another city and she vas very genourous and offer to let us borrow 50 pesos.

Vista Express Hotesl at Plaza Del Sol

This was my first time staying at the Vista Express Plaza Del Sol and probably my last, until the hotel is remodel. I knew this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel when I made my reservation, but I still expect the floors or carpet to be clean. This hotel has very old brown carpet in the hallways and in the room I stayed. The carpet is dirty with visible stains everywhere. The chair seats also showed satins and one chair seat has a small rip in one corner. Wireless access did not work anytime during my stay. I was told the wireless company was working to resolve the issues, but I was never notified if the issue was resolved.
The dayshift staff was excellent and very helpful and accommodating, allowing me to check in early. The night staff could have done a better job by following up when the wireless access got restored.
Over all, conveniently located, great staff, but will not stay again until the hotel is remodel or I have no other options.

Not bad for the price! Good area and safe for those being there first time there. Have to take cabs everywhere but the buses are easy to take and will take you downtown! The breakfast buffet was awesome!

Description
Its archway, corridors and the beautiful chapel provide the right mood for meditation, helping anyone to find peace and harmony with nature. The lobby and Don Diegos tertulias salon (chat gatherings) are another example of the carefully restored spaces that portray the wedlock of Mexico's colonial settings and the practicality that modern age demands, thus offering an environment of excellent taste and elegance.

Thought it´s clean, because of its age, it does not fell clean. It´s a bit old and requires renewal.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms facing main street are noisy at nights.
Very good food at the Restaurant (good cook)

Puerta del Sol is a quaint little hotel in a perfect location to get to anywhere you need fast. Right across the street from Crown Plaza Hotel. My room was the cheapest they offered and it was tiny. Just enough room for a bed and a desk. This was fine for me as I was just using it to sleep. I understand they have larger rooms available. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel has a central courtyard that contains a rather large pool that appeared fresh and clean. I'm staying there again and I'm going to use the pool this time.

We were going to a wedding in Teochitlan, and decided to spend a couple of days in guadalajara. This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was very nice and clean and quiet.

This was my second time at City Express. The roon is small, but adequate. The internet is excellent. It is wired (RJ45 ethernet cable) and fast. I have to spend a lot of time in the room doing my work. The desk chair was not comfortable, but I made it work. The airconditioning is either on or off and you do not get to change the temporature, but it is set to be nice and cool. They also provide a nice basic breakfast. I could stay at very expensive hotels, but I find this to be a great hotel, at a great price. I also like to be next door to OfficeMAX.
