Great location! Subway right outside the property; Tokyo Tower a block away; oldest temple next door; Disney1/2 subway ride; Imperial Palace 20 min. subway ride.
Not so good: Restaurants on site, but nothing open until 9AM. Even one that served breakfast pastries, etc. Lawson's Market in hotel open at 7AM though with juice, pastries and sandwiches.
Earlier comments by others were regarding "needs redecorating". We didn't find this to be a big deal. And some redecorating was in progress. Rooms were spacious for Japan, comfortable, clean. We'd definitely stay there again.

just traveling~
- Jul 5, 2010
I felt that the location was very good. It was within walking distance to Tokyo Tower and Zojoji. There are also several metro/subway lines within walking distance, so visiting different parts of the city will not be a problem. There are many food places to eat at, too. In all, a very central location. The rooms were clean and there were enough amenities, and the staff were nice and helpful.

Gute Lage, einige Plätze wie Tokio Tower, Roppongi,Restaurants & Läden, sogar Hafengebiet auch zu Fuss machbar. Grosse Zimmer (3 Bett-Zimmer).

The InterContinential Tokyo Bay was the perfect hotel for my recent week's stay in Tokyo. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The view spectacular!! Room services perfect. The location was great for access to the bay, restaurants and various means of public transportation. I guess the number one feature was the staff. Helpful in every way...a treasure for us because we spoke little Japanese. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip.

Location was good for my purposes but not perhaps those wanting to shop having to catch 2 trains or a bus and a train. There are coffee shops and convenience stores on the block.
The fact that the limousine bus takes off from the Celestine is a bonus although you then have to endure all the other hotel stops. 3000 yen to Narita airport.

The Somerset Azabu East was a wonderful choice for my stay in Tokyo. The apartment provided the space and comfort many hotels could not. Located right next to the Tokyo Tower and a short walk from two subway lines, traveling around Tokyo was very simple. This is a western style residence and a great option for families. The staff was very friendly and all spoke fluent english. We had a view of the tower from our apartment.

Could do better with the breakfast variety - they serve the same menu daily which consists of rice, miso, pickles, eggs, seaweed, roles, jam/ butter, sausage, salad and juice. Some nice selection of fruits and ham would be cool :)
Very conveniently located - from subway station, Tsukiji market and the AMAZING Hama Rikyu Park! I heart Tokyo & Villa Fontaine :D

This hotel is just like any other hotel in Tokyo - matchbox sized room , no space to turn in the bathroom etc etc
However, for the money they charge, you can't expect any better.
Looby , hallways , rooms are tidy and functional. No jazz at all. Staff is helpful and speak good english so you are sure to be understood.
Only negative is the location , tucked away non-descript inside a lane with no english sign on the hotel facade
On the whole, would keep this hotel on my radar for future visits

This hotel is owned by the Secretariat of Soto-zen Temple and many major groups of the Zen-shu and the Buddhist priests of Soto-zen often stay this hotel. This is a recommended hotel for both leisure and business travellers.(10/08 HT) It is modern, 15-storey white building with large signboard of the hotel name on the top of this building. This hotel is located in the heart of Tokyo in the Shiba area. Tokyo Tower, Shiba Park and Zojoji Temple are all major sightseeing places within walking distance. The nearest subway station is Shibakoen on the Mita line just a 2-minute walk away. Otherwise, Hamamatsu-cho station on both JR Yamanote Line and the Monorail terminal to Haneda Airport is a 10-minute stroll away. The Secretariat of Soto Zen Temple is right next to this hotel. Brilliant hotel, even though few of the staff know good English, they really go out of their way to help you. The staff were kind and polite, the restaurants were exquisite. Location wise the hotel is a few minutes walk from many subway lines and very close to the jr line station Hamamatsucho, also it's very close to tokyo tower and zojoji temple and a couple of garden parks. To be honest this hotel has everything a tourist could want for a tourist, I will recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Clean hotel no amenities

If all you want is a place to sleep than this hotel is okay. The rooms are small but the bathroom is nice and clean. The Buffet is not good in the resturant nor is it price good. Not one taxi driver knew how to get to this hotel. The good point is that there is a subway station in walking distance. Also a mini mart next to the hotel and the food is good there and cheap. The hotel has free internet and a small ice box in room. The staff at the front desk has no knowledge of the area. You need to ask for things in this hotel or they don't offer to help. Great small resturants in walking area. Tokyo Tower can be seen from the hotel window but they say it is in walking distance but it is better to take the subway and get off across the street of the tower and the temple is next to the tower. The hotel is very clean and safe.
