Kumamoto is a major city on Kyushu's west coast, it's famous for its castle, which is one of Japan's largest. (0210YY) This is a modern white concrete 10-storey building, and there is a signboard of the hotel name in English on the side of the building. The hotel is located in Kumamoto City. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Tokyo and 1 hour and 5 minutes from Osaka by airplane. Limited express trains run between Hakata and Kumamoto, approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes each way. It is approximately 5 minutes drive from JR Kumamoto Station by taxi, and a few minutes walk from nearest tram station.

Hotel pour court sejour

L hôtel est à coté d une station de tramway. Il est facile d accès depuis la gare. A noter aussi une grand galerie marchande juste à coté. On peut aller au château a pied. Bref pratique. La chambre est propre mais toute petite. La salle de bain est propre et minuscule. Bref des dimensions japonaises. Pas de PC en libre service mais accès internet dans les chambres. Le petit déjeuner western est bon marché mais pas très western... En contrepartie, cet hôtel n'est pas très cher.

We thought that the hotel was

We thought that the hotel was of a basic standard compared to others that we have stayed in for similar price. Breakfast was very good with adequate variety. Service / front office staff were helpful and couteous. Rooms were clean and comfortable but very basic.

The rooms were very clean, bed were comfortable,bathroom was large and nice,staff extremely helpful. The lobby was beautiful, bus stops right next to hotel. Close to lots of shopping.

Maruko Hotel located city center in Kumamoto City. It is only 10 minutes to Kumamoto Castle by walk and easy access to entertainment place. Maruko Hotel is Japanese Ryokan and most of rooms are Japanese Tatami Style Room and has large public bath. Availble reserved bath call Family Bath. Quiet Ryokan even though located city center and served Japanese course dinner and Japanese set breakfast if you reserve in advance.
