博多駅が徒歩圏内、キャナルシティがすぐ近くなのは便利でしたが、地下鉄の駅までがやや遠いです。天神まではタクシー利用になるかと思います（1000円くらい？）。割引料金で宿泊しましたので、清潔さ、設備等は料金に対して妥当か料金が安いと思います。部屋の照明も読書できる明るさでしたので助かりました。ただし、部屋の照明の電球が切れっぱなしでチェックされなかったようで、指摘するまで2日間放置されていたのは残念です。フロントが手薄で、しばしば行列が出来ていましたので、チェックアウトなどは余裕を持って出た方が良いでしょう。お得な料金プランでしたので、機会があればまた利用しようと思います。

A Hotel You Will Want to Remember

The Hotel is located at the foot of the Sea of Japan and makes for easy leisurely walks along the sea with gentle sea breezes. The public transportation orignates at the first floor of the hotel. If you need a taxi there are always a dozen or more waiting. The location is perfect if you want to walk to a local park, the Fukuoka Tower, visit the Major League baseball team the Soft Bank Hawks, or enjoy an evening at the Hard Rock Cafe.
The dining and bar at the top of the hotel is a must visit both during the day and in the evening. The views are spectacular. The views from our room on the 17th floor were also spectacular.
On Sunday we enjoyed the best breakfast ever with both Japanese and American style breakfasts. The French Toast was the best we have ever eaten anywhere.

ホテルの方の対応は皆さんにこやかでとても感じ良かったですが、一つ残念だったのはに３人で予約をいれたのにアメニティからバスタオルすべてが２人ぶんしか用意されてなっかたことです。たとえツインでも３人で予約を入れてるのだから、そのあたりの配慮はほしかったですね。スリッパだけはすぐにもってきて頂きましたが他の物は言えませんでした。でも、機会があればまた利用したいとは思います。

The Garden Palace was an excellent value. After booking for only 7300 yen, less than we'd paid for our other Fukuoka Hotel, we were expecting a modest place with typical tiny rooms. However, the room was spacious (by Japanese business hotel standards!) with two chairs and a table as well as desk and chair, refrigerator, tea making, and good plumbing with plenty of water pressure in the shower. The staff were helpful and did their best to communicate. They kept our luggage for five days, before we checked in, while we traveled around Kyushu. Altogether, our stay at the GP was very pleasant. The only downside is that the hotel is between two subway stations, so about a 10-15 minute walk to either. I only wish we'd booked there for the five nights we stayed in Fukuoka at the start of our trip.

The ANA Hakata hotel was a very pleasant surprise for the price Hakata district. The ANA Hakata room was small from a western standard, but typical of a Japanese hotel; but, it was fine for one person. Very nicely furnished. Free internet access. The location is great. It is right in the heart of Hakata district. It is an easy walk to the JR Train station as well as lots of restaurants. The hotel has western food that is good, but pricey. The hotel staff was very friendly. My only negative is that the TV is only in Japanese. The one channel listed as an English language channel (BBC) had a Japanese voice over.

The hotel was super convenient as far as location goes. It's definitely a business class hotel - not even close to luxurious and the facilities are feeling a bit dated/old, but the rooms are clean and they have free Wi-Fi! The view is nice if you get a room overlooking the main avenue and they serve a pretty nice complimentary Japanese-style breakfast as well. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable - 6000 yen at the end of November.
Convenient in that it's 2 stops from the airport by subway, right across the street from the hotel and plenty of shopping and food in the mall underneath the station as is typical of the larger Japanese stations.
FYI - There's a Starbucks right next door to the hotel as well which is nice. Being from Seattle and having lived in Japan, I find the coffee they make in Starbucks Japan tastier than the stuff they make in the US, I think because they must use whole milk.

I stayed here one night before catching a flight out the next morning. The room was small but clean and comfortable enough. The price was excellent, so if you're looking for a cheap place to stay that is clean and convenient, this is the place.

Excellent service from hotel staff. Answered all my questions about sightseeing locations etc with great professionalism. Any questions they were not able to answer immediately they researched and informed me as soon as they were able. Hotel and rooms are of a high standard. Friendly and caring staff. Breakfast was a little below par for this class of hotel but satisfactory.

Description
Fukuoka originally developed as a samurai town on the west side(Fukuoka), and a marketplace for tradesmen and artisans on the east side(Hakata). Well-known as a town chalked full of tradition and festivals, Kyushu region's largest business district, and the Tenjin and entertainment districts, Nakasu is a city that never gets to sleep.
This hotel was previously known as Hotel Mitsui Urban. (0808NN) The building is tall and a modern in style that is brown. The hotel is located in center of Fukuoka city and seven minutes form Hakata Station on foot, Canal City Hakata, Nakasu and Tenjin.

This is a four star hotel that's trying to be a five star hotel. It needs to work on it's international selection. That having been said, it's a good hotel for the price. It's a solid 4 star hotel that is striving for better.

Reasonable business hotel. Enjoyed the stay and a good price also. I do recommend, if you are taking the shinkansen, that you take a taxi to the hotel.
