Good Hotel, nice quiet neighborhood

If you are visiting Venice, this is a great place to stay if you'd like to be a ways from the chaos. Venice itself is exciting and beautiful but quite busy and noisy. Lido, the island where this hotel is located, is a short Vaparado ride from San Marco Square and the hotel is only 2 short blocks from the dock where you're let off. That makes the price very attractive as well, since hotels right in the heart of Venice are extremely expensive. But be sure and request a large room. We got a "single" room even though they knew there were two of us and it was a small bed with hardly any room to negotiate around it. But other than that, there was nothing to complain about. The service was good, the breakfast was included and tasty. Would stay there again, in a larger room.

Cozy quarters at the Lido

Considering how difficult getting around in Venice is, the Lido is actually a good choice. Le Bouvlevard has well appointed public areas and rooms. This however, was the smallest room of the 5 hotels on my 3 week trip.
Least favorite breakfast and least favorite shower of any of the hotels I stayed at. Everytime I showered, a major mess resulted. But, warm and clean, with a variety of languages featured on TV.
Interestingly, I stayed at 3 3 star hotels, and 2 4 star hotelss and liked all the 3 star hotels better.

Entre les plages du Lido et l'arrêt du Vaporetto pour Venise, la situation est idéale, restaurants et commerces à proximité immédiate. Nous avions réservé une chambre à trois lits qui n'était pas prête à notre arrivée. Un lit supplémentaire a dû être rajouté dans une chambre minuscule alors que l'hôtel en avait de plus grandes. La chambre était sale, poussière et cheveux agglomérés sous les lits.

Am meisten hat mir die Ruhe und die Nähe zum Strand gefallen. das Zimmer war i.O. und die Angestellten sehr sympathisch. Leider hatten wir am ersten Tag kein warmes Wasser gehabt. Sie hatten das aber schnell wieder i.O. gebracht. Internet hat auch leider nicht funktioniert. nur beim Eingang war das Signal stark genug.

This is the second time we have stayed at Villa Parco. We like the quiet location on Lido while we are visiting Venice. There are also cafes, restaurants and shopping close by. The value is great!

Hotel Villa Pannonia is situated on the Venice Lido, just 300 m, from the boat station, Santa Maria Elisabetta. The building dates back to the early 1900's and was used as a summer residence by noble East European families, who enjoyed the famous beaches of the Venice Lido. The historical facade, belonging to the eclectic period at the beginning of the century, is tinted in a typical Venetian red; an abundance of windows with pointed arches overlook a splendid garden which is at clients disposal for complete relaxation. Parking facilities available at 10 euros per day to be paid on the spot. Buffet Breakfast available at 12 euro per person per day .

This was the start of a 9 day cruise to the Mediteranean Sea so we arived two days early. We walked, shopped and took a tour of Venice. The hotel was very very clean, the people were courteous and the area of Lido was fantastic. The area is like a quiet little village compared to Venice. The water buses are a little hard to get used to but that is your only transportation.

Wundervolles Hotel in traumhafter Lage. Eine Oase der Ruhe um dem manchmal hektischen Venig zu entfliehen und sich zu erholen. Durch den regelmäßigen Privatshuttle Service direkt nach San Marco lohnt es sich sogar für ein Stündchen an den Pool zurückzukehren. Die Professionalität des Servicepersonals in den Bereichen Restaurant/Frühstück lässt ein wenig zu wünschen übrig, die Hausdame explizit ausgenommen. Das Restaurant ist für die geschmackliche Qualität überteuert, das Ambiente ist aber auch hier wunderbar. Sonst ist das Hotel aber absolut TOP!

Bon rapport qualité prix , situé à quelques metres de la mer du Lido.
Chambre triple un peu petite pour 4 ( 2 enfants de 1 et 6ans) mais disposant d'une térrasse sympa pour les apéros et fin de soirée.
Petit déjeuner pas trop mal mais prévoir un surplus si l'on souhaite un vrai breakfast.

Hotel was just ok, the toilet was under the sink, at least half was. Shower was dirty. Staff was rude and set us up to be ripped off. They tell you they set up a free tour of a glass factory on an island and provide free water taxi. The glass factory is a complete rip off. High pressure sales and they don't let you leave until you buy something. At the end of tour they have cheap room of glass stuff to buy with cheaper prices. I bought a glass plate for 40 euros. We finally get a ride back to venice and find the same plate for 15 euros. After talking to several glass shop owners in Venice, we found out the hotel gets 50 euros for each person they send over to the factory. Also found out if I had not bought anything, I would have had to find my own ride off the island. Complete scam and the hotel should be ashamed of themselves for preying on their guests. the hotel in on the lido island, you have to take the ferry there and then a water taxi to visit Venice.

This hotel has been a favourite since 1982 , and still never disappoints . The dining prices are at the top end of the hotel range , but then so is the whole of Venice , and the standard is 1ST Class.Easy access for the airport and Lido waterbus services excellent for the islands .The golf course is well worth a visit, and the cycle ride around the Lido equally good.

Easy to get to with public transportation - service there were great - comfy, larger room with a balcony and a breeze. Staff was friendly and helpful. Real nice breakfast spread for guests. Bathrooms were large and clean. Wife and I were happy with it. It's on a cute island area just a few mins (bus) from alot of shops and great restaurants. Nice pathway access for joggin, biking or walking along the adriatic sea. Only bad part was that we had to buy swim caps to utilize the pool - ha ha...

Cute, 'family style' hotel on Lido (about a 10 minute ferry ride to Venice). Basic room, but clean and functional and mine was a good size too. Well located to ferry service.

Description
Viktoria Palace Hotel is a 4-star hotel completely renovated in 2010. Located in the Lido of Venice near San Nicol, in a quiet island, surrounded by a large wooded park overlooked by almost half of the the rooms. Many rooms have a charming view on the Venetian lagoon or of the garden on surrounding the Hotel. All rooms are furnished in a typical Venetian style with old bedheads in wrought iron that creates an elegant and a warm welcoming atmosphere.

The hotel I stayed at was beautiful and the staff was really nice. My only concern is that you have to walk a half block with your luggage to get you to your hotel. I wasn't used to not having a taxi pick you up and take you directly to your hotel. If you want to go to St. Mark's Square, then you would have to take the water bus which is 4 stops away from Lido. The spa was very relaxing. Too bad there wasn't a gym to go along with it. Other than a couple of minor things, I would stay at this hotel again. It was a very relaxing trip.

What a great hotel. Rooms were lovely, staff friendly and extremely helpful, breakfast was very good too. On the main street of Lido, about 50 mtrs from the water buses, so no need for a taxi. Plenty of restaurants and the hotel gives special discount in their own restaurant with set menu or 10% off their a la carte. Easy access to Venice. Will definitely go back. No ironing or coffee making facilities were the only downsides. But hotel bar serves a very nice Cafe Latte at a price more reasonable than out in the restaurants and cafes

The Hotel Meridiana, in Venice, was built by Giuseppe Tramontin in the early 30's. It is named after the large sun dial on its faade, not just artistically captivating but also practical for all those passers-by on their way to or from the beach: very few owned watches at that time.Although initially classified as an "inn", it immediately became an above average tourist structure. At that time it had 35 rooms.

Hôtel de caractère, très agréable, buffet généreux le matin. Situé sur le Lido à 150 m de la plage, ce qui nous intéressait peu pour un début novembre pluvieux, mais si on veut visiter Venise et que l'on n'a pas peur du petit 1/4 d'heure de marche entre les villas jusqu'à l'embarcadère, c'est parfait : calme et prix (à cette période c'était 55 pour chambre double à 2 lits) introuvables dans Venise même. Et les 10 min de traversée vers la place St Marc font partie du plaisir.

I was concerned about being a distance away from Venice proper, but now that I have stayed on Lido, I wouldn't change a thing. The Hotel is directly across from the beach. The beach is clean, and the hotel has umbrella sites reserved for its guests. Great location, beautiful rooms, clean, and highly recommended!!

We loved our stay at this hotel. Our room was huge and clean with a big shower room. A delicious international breakfast. The location was very easy to get.
PD: The beach in front the hotel is not beautiful at all (at least not in november).

The hotel is located in a peaceful area on the Lido di Venezia, near the Casino and the Biennale building. It is linked to Venice by a frequent shuttle service, which stops a short distance away. Furnished in elegant period style, the rooms offer a range of comforts. The hotel has a beautiful private garden.

l'hôtel est mal situé et mal signalé. Il n'a pas de parking. L'accès à l'hôtel se fait par un étroit chemin interdit à la circulation dans les deux sens! Il ny a pas de plan de localisation sutr le site internet! Le prix de la chambre égal à 70 € est correct à fin octobre, mais en pleine saison le prix de 340 € affiché dans la chambre est absolument prohibitif!

This was my first trip to Venice - staying in Lido was a great place to stay. Very cute island. The Vime Byron hotel is a block from beaches and a block or 2 from the main street, and less than a 10 minute walk to the waterbus. Friendly service. Hotel is clean and has a lift. Large updated bathroom and shower(for Europe). Bed was old and could feel the springs, furniture hasn't been updated in many years. But room was large overall - included small desk, end tables, and an armoir, as well as refrigerator. We could leave our luggage during the day after we check out. They had a nice outdoor sitting area. No clocks in the room - but I noticed that at all hotels I stayed at in Paris and Italy. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic accommodation. We were very happy with the facilities and the size of the rooms. Comfortable lounge room, good kitchen space and an upstairs outdoor area. Great pool. Lido is small enough to walk everywhere, so location was very handy to both the beach and the shopping area. Beautifully kept gardens.

This hotel was a great choice for us. The hotel is located on Lido which is about a 20 minute water bus away from Venice. The hotel is actually an additional 15 minute bus ride to the water bus location. This was fine for us, but for those traveling and want to be in the middle of the action, this may not be the hotel for you. Service was great, the lady running the establishment was very helpful with questions. The breakfast was typical. Cold cuts and cheese and yogurts.
Overall I would rate it a great bargain for a frugal traveler.

Small rooms but nice , as well as the bathrooms . Great location , easy to find . Tons of places to eat in walking distance and only a 2 minute walk to the beach . They where friendly and helpful. Included continental breakfast and had FREE internet .

Pleasant hotel for those wanting to stay in Venice Lido near to the beach. It is a family-run business and extremely well looked after. CQ 05/08 High building decorated in sand and cream colours, with green shutters at the windows. The hotel is located in front of the beautiful golden beach of Lido awarded again in 2004 with the exclusive eco-label blue flag. From the Lido pier the hotel is about 5 minutes by bus away, and Lido is far from San Marco, about a 10 to 20 minute pleasant sightseeing tour away by boat, through the splendid lagoon.

Good stay on a budget

We were traveling on a budget and staying on the main island in Venice was out of the question. We were able to navigate back and forth from Rivamare to the main attractions fairly easily. If you are staying for a very short time, you may want to stay closer. From leaving the hotel to getting to St. Mark's Square, it probably took about 45 minutes, including time waiting for a bus on Lido and the water but from Lido to the main island. It met our purposes. Rooms were very basic but clean. Walls were a little thin.

Hotel calme situé tout près des plages de la mer Adriatique, personnel sympathique et accueillant, breakfast satisfaisant. Seul inconvénient, pour rentrer après 0 h 30, il y a un vaporetto toutes les 40 mn et il faut compter 20 mn de trajet et encore 10 minutes pour rentrer à l'hôtel en bus. Sinon, notre séjour était parfait !
