GREAT OPTION FOR THE AMALFI COAST

This hotel is a GREAT option for your trip to the Amalfi Coast. The location is simply PERFECT !!!!
The hotel offered everything we are expecting for a 3 star hotel averaging $100 per night.
The staff was very friendly, our room had an ocean view and breakfast was very good - again for the money you are paying. (they had a few different breads, ham, cheese, mortadella, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs,milk, coffees and cappuccino)
Don't expect this to be a 5 star hotel, but it is an excelent choice, if you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to rest after a busy day !!
There are only two things you should know.... the shower is so small that if you are overweight you are probably not going to fit in it, and there is a extra fee to use the fridge. So if you are planning do buy your food and eat in the room to save money, fridge will cost you 10Euros a day or 30 per week.

Beautiful hotel. We had a garden room which had lemon trees right outside the door, lovely gardens with an adjacent pool. Room was beautiful, bi-level, spotlessly clean, very quiet and private. We hated to leave! Beautiful dining room offered a delicious hot breakfast and can be accessed from the outdoor garden rooms or the main hotel. Staff was so helpful and courteous and spoke English very well. Hotel is very centrally located to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!!

The Esperidi is a new renovated design resort in Sorrento, offering a new concept of accommodation in junior suites, apartments studios, one bedroom and two bedroom and standard bungalows. All units are fully equipped with kitchenette facilities except the standard bungalows, air conditioning, television, safe and a private veranda. Daily cleaning service is offered as at a traditional Hotel. There is a magnificent swimming-pool (20 x 10) with sun-beds at clients' disposal and a snack service offered at the pool-bar (from May to September). Amenities are Airport transfer, Safe deposit box, Bar, Internet access-High-Speed, Internet access-Wireless, Swimming pool-outdoor, Lobby, Tour desk, Concierge, Parking facilities, Cooking School, Cooking Lessons, Bikes To Rent, Reception, Doctor on call, Restaurant only for breakfast and Excursions. beautiful oasis in Sorrento

Hotel Espiridi is not a 5 star hotel, but it was by far the best place we stayed at during our 2 weeks travelling around Italy. I wish we could have stayed longer. The location was easy to find and very convenient for visiting the Sorrento area. There was lots of room for the free parking. We left our car there and took the city bus which stopped at the front gate down to the marina in Sorrento. We also had occasion to ride on the Circumvensia train which has a stop 2 blocks from the hotel. The little apartment we stayed in was very comfortable and included a fully equipped small kitchenette area and a little patio area out front to sit and relax. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful and there was a lovely pool area. There was free internet available, and a wonderful breakfast was included in the price. The whole place was very tastefully decorated and the staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The whole atmosphere was great and we felt very comfortable here. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the Sorrento area.

Quite good, however little bit faded hotel, but in bad location. It is not in walking distance from Sorrento (also danger busy traffic on the roads without side-walk) and you must register for the shuttle bus for exact time in the reception, so you must know in the morning, when exactly you want to come back in the evening - little bit inconvenient system. The safe deposit in the room did not work all 4 nights, apart from the fact I asked servicing every morning. Very good breakfast. Because of transportation inconveniencies I would prefer accomodation directly in Sorrento next time.

The hotel is rather far out of Sorrento unless you have a car. The rooms are in general good-sized and quite comfortable. The rooms with a view unfortunately are quite noisy from street traffic. The bathroom was good sized with a tub/shower combination. The hotel stated that the tap-water is not drinkable. Dinners at the hotel restaurant are expensive and one cannot order a la carte. Very good breakfast buffet.

After a long drive we managed to find this hotel. Upon arrival were greeted by staff who told us that the room assigned to us was unavailable because their guest had caught the influenza and could not be moved from the hotel. They indicated that the had made arrangements with another hotel. Initially we were bothered with this however when we saw all the efforts Villa Oriana management did to make us feel better we quickly changed our thoughts. To begin with they accompanied us to the other hotel which was superb. They even waited for us to verify if we liked the room (it was fantastic). In summary, an unexpected situation very well handled by Villa Oriana. They surely are responsible professionals. The satisfaction survey is a combination of Villa Oriana and Hotel Plaza.

Used this hotel as a base for seeing all that sorrento and the amalfi coast had to offer. Perfect location, good value.
Pool area was also nice. only negative was that it was close to busy main road(lots of honking horns).

The front desk were very uncomftable to talk to - upon arriving they just gave us a key and failed to mention anything about breakfast the next morning, (included in the cost) or that we needed a card to turn on the electricity in the room. They put us in a room opposite the elevator. That plus the paper thin walls, (you can hear the people next door using the toilet while you lay in bed...pleasant!) bode for the noisiest night ever. I only managed to sleep because i brought ear plugs. Our stay in the city center of Rome was quieter! Upon chceking out i asked if they had left luggage facilities - the porter wanted to leave our suitcase in an open broom cupboard by the front door...that had no lock....Wouldn't recommend.

Great location. Close to Beach, shopping, and food. Little or no English spoken, which is okay, just so you know. Breakfast was okay. There is no parking. Closest was a paid lot about 10 minutes walk. We had a great stay and will be back!

The Hotel La Vue d'Or is located in Sorrento, on a delightful hill, very close to the centre and at the same time in a relaxing place. This makes the hotel the ideal solution for spending vacation in the Sorrento Peninsula, to enjoy both the nightlife and the relaxing nature. Very comfortable, it provides pleasant, airy and beautiful rooms, equipped with air conditioning, direct-line telephone, private bathroom, balcony and terraces (at supplement), satellite TV, hair dryer, and so on. The hotel offers moreover a wide restaurant, a kind staff to welcome guests. The Hotel La Vue d'Or rooms are comfortable and useful equipped. They are the ideal place to rest after an excursion outdoor. Finely air-conditioned they are airy and pleasant. Such a lovely hotel, staff all very friendly and helpful, viiews from our room and top terrace amazing. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay with fantastic views, immaculately clean hotel, lovely fresh breakfast (albeit rather limited), excellent facilities and very welcoming staff.

Lovely accommodation with superb views over the Bay of Naples. Courtesy bus is a must, but is frequent and reliable. Staff all friendly and helpful. A really enjoyable place to stay.

Wonderful place to stay!

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! The staff is helpful and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The views are "to die for"! Hotel Jaccarino is a very short walk from St. A'gata which is a charming village. Breakfast is included and the morning offerings are superb. Add the delicious food to the beautiful dining room where you enjoy the morning meal and you just can't rate this hotel as anything less that top notch in this category. The only drawback is that we had to carry our bags up a circular staircase with small steps. That was a bit trying but... the incredible views we had when we got there made that effort more than worthwhile. I will be dreaming of those views of the Amalfi coast for a long time to come. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or to stay here again.

The palm trees, orange and exotic plants open into the garden where you will find the Hotel Mediterraneo's pool. It is large with fresh water and has a pleasant fountain. It is located beside a second pool for small children. Here, with loungers and umbrellas you can spend some time relaxing in total comfort (bathing towels provided by the hotel). At night the water and garden are illuminated and create a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy at the bar while sipping the gazebos act real lounges fitted with comfy, wicker armchairs to allow you to enjoy the cool evening air. We had a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the sea, which was wonderful. The bed, linens, etc are very comfortable and everything was very clean.
The hotel has a restaurant, of sorts. It is the same room that breakfast is served in and it is more like a buffet than a dining experience. Also, they offer no room service and all dining shuts down in the afternoon, even at the pool.
The staffing in the hotel could have been better. They weren't rude, they weren't very helpful or friendly. They do the minimum.
But, I would put up with the lack of customer service to stay at this hotel again because of the property, views and pool...

This was a beautiful and well equipped and maintained hotel - easily the best we experienced in Italy. It was situated directly on the water at the top of the cliffs. Our room overlooked the bay with Vesuvius directly across the water and the town spread out on both sides. The hotel room was large, well furnished, very clean, and the only complaint was that the shower was modern but small. For wireless internet connections, you need a separate password for each computer or iphone, and the signal is weak or non-existent on upper floors, but the sea views from the upper floors was wonderful. Included breakfast was excellent. Dinner was fine, but somewhat expensive and formal. The nearest restaurant, across the street, was very good, but had limited hours.

Walk to Water Shuttle

We were looking for a hotel where we could disembark from the water shuttle landing and easily drag all our bags to the hotel. This was perfect. Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean and good breakfast. Had an "oceanview" room, but had to stand on bed to see out. Only things we didn't like were shower, not great A/C (they control it) and no way to mark the room as Do No Disturb if sleeping in. About 100 steps up cliff to main town, but there is a LIFT not far for 1 euro (life saver) and a bus. A few good restaurants right at hotel (the one connected has great food). If you book a tour through the hotel you have to go up to the town to meet the bus - FYI. Next time we might consider staying UP on the cliff, since that's where you end up going everyday, but we were very happy here and it was a good value.

They were completely responsive to our needs. We had an issue with our shower and within minutes, the staff was at the room to remedy the situation. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen with a wide variety of selections and non-stop espresso. The view from our room of the port was magical. The roof deck had a similar view. The only negative I can think of is that to reach the main shopping district, one needs to climb some stairs but it is excellent exercise!

We loved our stay at Babyluna - the apartment was excellent with great security. We took the liberty to show it to our guide Ugo from Sorrento Cars so that he can recommend it to other clients and he was also impressed. We would gladly use this apartment again.

Sorrento, Capri and the Amalfi Coast are a must see for anyone visiting Italy. Everything you read about the beauty is true. Some shopkeepers were pretty rude, even to my Wife and I who spent easily. Others though were very sweet and friendly!
The entire staff of the Hotel Rivage was awesome! The room and bath spacious and very nice. We had an awesome ocean view from the terrazzo. The room had asafe (but did not work) and a small refrig that was well stocked, water, birra and snacks.
The hotel is located at the west end of town, right on main street and an easy 10 minute walk from treno station! The walk to the marina is a challenge, especially the return, but doable! Each night they close the main street for pedestrians! Wonderful hotel great people, loved it!

The hotel was good. The staff great but do not book this hotel unless you are young & / or very fit. The views were good. There is a bus which goes into the town of Sorrento (20 mins. ride) from the 'main' road up a 1 in 3 gradient!! Make sure you know where the bus picks up in the town!! We had a few problems but there are taxis around!

Large room and very clean and quiet. Breakfast was very limited. Close to transportation and shopping. Check-in was difficult because the building was secure and we had to call the owner and wait for her to come and give us the key, about 15 minutes.

Wir hatten eine traumhafte Woche im Costa Alta. Dies haben wir vor allem der Familie Aiello zu verdanken, die mir ihrer Herzlichkeit und unĆ¼bertroffenen Gastfreundlichkeit unseren Aufenthalt zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis werden lieĆ. Piano di Sorrento ist genauso wie wir Italien kennen und lieben. WƤrmende Sonnenstrahlen, hellblaues Meer, fantatstische Aussichten Ć¼ber die einzigartige KĆ¼stenlandschaft, geschƤftiges Treiben in den Strassen und Gassen, knatternde Vespas und Pizza&Pasta bis die BƤuche kugelrund sind. Das Costa Alta ist jedoch herrlich ruhig gelegen.
Die Bungalows sind sauber, ein kleines Restaurant was zum Villaggio gehƶrt, sorgt fĆ¼r das leibliche Wohl (das FrĆ¼hstĆ¼ck ist nicht so karg wie anderswo in Italien), der Pool lƤdt zum Relaxen ein. Das Zentrum von Piano di Sorrento sowie den Bahnhof, von wo man zu allerlei AusflĆ¼gen starten kann, ist in kurzer Zeit zu FuĆ erreichbar. Der Strand von Piano ist nicht so groĆ, aber um ein wenig zu entspannen zwischen all den vielen Mƶglichkeiten die man in der Gegend hat, reicht er alle mal. Wir kommen jedenfalls gern wieder!

Great place to relax after a busy

Great place to relax after a busy week exploring Rome. Hotel shuttle bus was great for getting in and out of Sorrento and also bus stop just outside hotel. Lovely pool plus bar area for getting drinks and lunches. We arrived early but were allowed to store our luggage and use the pool for a couple of hours which was most welcome. Really miss it now back in chilly UK. Turn right out of hotel then first left and keep walking gets you to the coast where there is a lovely bar/restaurant. Glass of wine whilst watching sun set over Capri - lovely. Walk into Sorrento this way too, less than a mile I think.

La Favorita was the perfect base from which to drive to Herculaneum, Vesuvius, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. Its location in the heart of beautiful Sorrento and underground parking meant that we could walk through the old town in the evening or down to the port to catch the ferry to the island of Capri for a day trip. La Favorita was completely refurbished in 2010 and has a lovely rooftop pool and terrace for sunbathing. The service was excellent and they even have a courtesy room with a shower which we used to freshen up before travelling back to the airport.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency, however, the staff at La Hotel Favorita were super friendly and helpful with all of our travel questions. We really regret not being able to experience this hotel.

Very nice view and the rooms where very nice. The free wifi is a plus. It is a long walk to the center of town but there is a bus that runs every half an hour.

It was a very simple hotel, but very affordable for the area. Nice location to the water and nice pool viewing the bay. We liked the location because it was near the water and quiet. The hotel was an enjoyable 10/15 minute walk to the piazza center of town. There are lots of very good seafood restaurants on the water near the hotel as well.
