Hotel magnifico, pulito, romantico; personale disponibilissimo, a due passi dal centro di Siena. Unica piccola pecca: ha un parcheggio davvero minuscolo, potrebbe succedervi di dover parcheggiare la macchina al parecheggio pubblico (fortezza) gratuito qualche centinaio di metri più in là. L'hotel sorge proprio dietro lo stadio comunale, fate attenzione al rumore dei tifosi il sabato o la domenica pomeriggio...

I can only say good words for this hotel. The location is wonderful. Just a few minutes away from Piazza Gramsci, where you can take local and regional buses to neighboring cities of Florence and nearby cities of Rome etc. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is also very close to the city center. The rapport between price and value is excellent. This is the hotel of my choice for Siena.

It is the first and only five star hotel within the walled Siena city centre. It was opened on February 2002. This predominantly 17th century palace Designed by Baroque architect Giovanni Fontana has uncovered a remarkable series of 15th Century frescoes of high quality and in a miraculous state of preservation. It has also highlighted a medieval tower that has been incorporated in a new suite of unique character. The focal point of the hotel is a beautiful covered winter garden reminiscent of a Renaissance piazza where the huge dial of a 19th Century English church clock dominates the room from above the bar. The Elegant Grand Hotel Siena Italy

This was our second visit to Siena and our second stay at the Grand Hotel. It's a beautiful, elegant hotel situated perfectly in distance from shops, restaurants and the Palio area. Our room was spacious and on this occasion the room had a small outside balcony from which to view the beautiful sights of a beautiful city. What I enjoyed was not only having a bureau but also a large walk in closet. Our first visit had breakfast included but this was not the case during our second visit. I thoroughly enjoy this hotel and have recommended it to others and everyone has a very positive experience. The staff is very professional and attentive. We did experience a problem, however, with the concierge. We were to fly into Florence, however, due to winds our plane was diverted to Pisa. We had reserved a driver, through the hotel, to meet us in Florence. We assumed the driver would follow the plane schedule and realize we were not in Florence but in Pisa. That being said, we scoured the airport looking for the driver; we were with another couple who did the same thing. After waiting a considerable amount of time, we hired a cab to take us to Siena. The concierge was not happy and implied that the driver was there looking for us and that we should pay for the reservation. We felt it was not our responibility and we did not pay. From that time on the concierge was cool and alloof and didn't even lift his head to make eye contact with us. This was very different from our fist experience when we had nothing but high praise for the people at the hotel desk. All in all, it's a wonderful place and Siena is a gorgeous place to visit...I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

When you want the best in town, you stay at the Continental! Keep in mind that they give out 5 stars a whole lot easier in Europe than in the States but this is a magnificent property. The rooms are small but beautifully appointed. There is no better location in Siena and ask for a room on the top floor facing the valley and Basilica/Cathedral. They have small balconies and the view is magnificent. Ask the front desk to send you to a non-tourist, family owned restaurant and you will be in heaven.

L'albergo si trova in una buona posizione, a 3 km. dal centro, si parcheggia facilmente l'auto proprio davanti l'entrata, la camera carina, il bagno piccolo ma funzionale, la prima colazione a buffet in una saletta molto bella forse la cosa che più mi è piaciuta, per il resto sono rimasto soddisfatto e all'occorrenza potrei anche ritornarci.

The rooms are quaint but acceptable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The parking system is a nuisance as you need a card to get in, but you are not allowed to keep one. The back entrance needs new lighting.

Wonderful, the grounds were astounding, hotel room was quite big and very well equipped. The hotel staff were excellent nothing was a problem very friendly. We loved this hotel it was one of the highlights of our European holiday the swimming pool location had a very relaxing atmosphere, birds chirping plenty of table and chairs to relax and just enjoy the grounds which were huge. We would definitely return to this wonderful hotel and beautiful Siena.

We were in Sienna for just one night and did a walking tour. Hotel Athena is a very cute hotel. Front desk was very friendly and the breakfast was one of the best I had in Europe for a free one. The only complaint was the couch bed for our daughter since we had a triple room was not comfortable.

The B&B "Villa Peragnola" is not far from the old city walls of Siena and is near the Train Station. "Villa Peragnola", that has recently been completely restructured according to a modern, elegant and minimalistic architectonical style, offers large and luminous rooms, which have air conditioning, television, private bathroom with shower, and any other comfort. Hotel is good (rooms, hotel pretty new and in great condition). However, it was explained that is close to the city centre. Far from it. It's about 10 minutes by car (if not longer) and at least 40+ minutes walking. So, that' the first disappointment. Second, they don't have any hotel internet in rooms??!! Only in the lobby. And not only that, but it's not even free. Even that one in lobby. So, not only that you have to sit downstairs in the lobby if you want to work or talk on Skype, but you even have to pay for that inconvenience. Luckilly there was a wifi service from Linkem in the room, so you can subscribe to that by credit card (it costs 12 E per 24 hrs), just like the hotel internet in the lobby. So...
Basically, a nice hotel, but not a good location or no internet...
** in addition, they don't even let you have an iron for your clothes. I asked for an iron (as I had a business meeting), and they said very cold "No, it's not possible to use the iron" (??!!)... really funny...

On arrival I was surprised that the hotel was a 5 min taxi ride into Siena. However, as a non smoker the hotel was absolutely wonderful as totally non smoking. The Hotel is in a quiet location (my son and I) we had two rooms both were beautiful and clean, breakfast was very nice early 7.30 or 8.30 same service and food was replenished. I am trying to convince my husband to go to Sienna and would most definately stay at the Mercure a wonderful experience. The biggest plus the staff are very nice and extremely helpful.

Clean, attractive, very modern hotel a short walk from the attractions of Siena. Very nice breakfast included. Rooms were very clean and of reasonable size. The front desk staff didn't seem very friendly - although I rarely have any dealings with the front desk after checking in, the man in front of me asked if he could print a document and they absolutely refused. Just couldn't be done, absolutely not possible. Apparently 30 seconds of their time was too much to assist a guest. The back of the hotel overlooks the soccer stadium, which is beautiful. Wish there were a game while we were there, we would have had an excellent view.

Description
To sum up, this is a superb hotel, with a character and atmosphere of its own. The style is that of a country house.
09/05 A.DP. The exterior is cream coloured, and the building used to be an old sienese Villa belonging to a noble family of the area. Dark wood shutters surround each window. At the rear is a patio area in the same shape and design as the main 'palio' square in the centre of Siena. The hotel actually has its own chapel, which, though not consecreted has special dispensation to hold wedding ceromonies in. This hotel is set in its own Parkland, a little way out from town a top a small hill from which one can see the spires in the old walled part of the City.

Description
Very pleasant hotel for its category and ideally located. Clients have free access to the tennis court in the garden of the nearby sister hotel and to the open-air swimming pool (open during Summer period from 15th May until 15th September. Opening dates may change depending on the weather.) Internet point and wi-fi network is available for the guests with direct payment to the hotel. 0409 SR Modern three story building in a light cream shade.
The hotel has small private car parking (for just 10 cars). Car space cannot be booked in advance. The hotel is located just a few steps away from the Porta Camollia, the traditional entrance to the medieval town.

The Sangallo Park Hotel is in a new building located on the panoramic Vico Alto's hill, near the old town of Siena. The hotel is perfectly located for guests to reach many tourist spots. Easily reachable from the exit Siena North of the motorway Palio (Siena-Firenze), it sits in an ideal place for car and bike trips in the Chianti and Val d'Orcia areas or, a little bit farther, in the Val di Chiana, Merse, Crete Senesi, Val d'Elsa areas until the Monte Amiata. The hotel offers bar, disabled facilities, doctor on call, dry cleaning, Internet access-wireless, lift/ elevator, lobby, non smoking rooms, parking facilities-at cost, reception, room service-24 hrs, safe deposit box, swimming pool-outdoor and tour desk. Pets are allowed.

The residence is situated in the centre near the "Palazzo Bardi"- a historical dwelling from the 1300, famous for its "Sopraintendenza alle Belle Arti", its architecture and its internal decorations on the ceiling. It is also famous for its 1700 pavement inlayed in marble, with rose ornaments in the central hall.Residence made in an old XIV century building,nominated by the Monuments and Fine Arts Service for its frescos on the inside with a panoramical view over the city,finely restructured, with two independent entries, Via Casato di Sopra 33 and Via Dupre 126,only 400 mt of Piazza del Campo,it has a very close parking with several levels.

Park outside Porta Tufi for free. Then walk up hill to hotel. Il Campo parking is a little further up the hill but expensive. Basic breakfast consisting of orange juice. coffee, croissant and yogurt.

Description
Although the hotel is located in a quiet position, off main roads and 10 minutes away from city centre, the hotel offers all the facilities of a good first property. Highly recommended for groups, this hotel is also ideal for business clientele and those traveling with a car. 08/07 S.R. A modern two-storey building with mirrored windows. The front area has a parking space and gardens. Though located outside the medieval walls of Siena, the hotel is in an ideal position for major connections to highways/the motorway. The city centre is fairly easy to reach by public transport.

Description
Former convent of the "Three Moors", the hotel changed around 1400, is located in the center of the picturesque city of Siena. "Four Steps" from the Piazza del Campo, is unique in the world for its beauty, and fanoso "Duomo" is easily reachable by car, coach and public services. In front of a large car park where you can stay 30 minutes for loading bags, and is in the immediate vicinity, there are several restaurants choice. The hotel offers lift/elevator, parking facilities-at cost 15, reception (from 7:30am to 10:30pm), safe deposit box, tour desk, outside laundry service and lounge. All the costs include breakfast.

hôtel beaucoup trop cher pour ce type d'hôtel
hôtel très simple service limité à 1 seule personne qui malgré sa gentillesse ne peut assumer le service du petit déjeuner l'accueil des arrivés et des départs les rangements le téléphone etc.....
petit déjeuner dans une toute petite pièce comme un tunnel
très insuffisant

situation aisee pour visite de la ville
chambre petite, SANS air conditionne (par 36 degres !!),
peinture ecaillee, salle de bain avec joints noirs de salpetre,
douche en mauvais etat, pas de pression d eau froide a l evier,
rapport qualite/prix tres mauvais
