Wonderfully helpful staff! Just ask and they'll provide. The bed was hard, but otherwise the room was what we needed. If I'm ever in Rome again I'll stay here!

This was a great place, their was three of us my husband, 20 year old son and myself. Our accomendations consisted of a bathroom with plenty of space, a small bedroom with one twin size bed and another bedroom with two twins that were pushed together. This was a great size considering the other hotels we stayed at in Itlay.
Nice contential breakfast, the staff was very friendly and cold speak very good English.
Everything was within a 20 minute walk from the hotel which made it nice. Tons of shops and little places to eat were around hotel.

This hotel is a bit hard to find, poorly marked. You have to be buzzed in to a muti-use courtyard and figure out that the hotel is on the second floor. There is a tiny, hard to find elevator, I had to walk up (way up) to be told that the elevator existed. The room was up another flight of stairs, adequate but... we couldn't figure out the air-conditioner, the cable TV was incomprehensible with a weak signal, the wi-fi didn't work in the room and the toilet didn't flush. The location is good and the staff pleasant, but unless desperate, look elsewhere.

While in Rome, you don't really spend much time in your hotel if you're a tourist. This is my second time to the city, the first time staying in the Raphael. Although the Pantheon Inn was much different, it still provided for a great location as the Pantheon, cafes, gelaterias, souvenir shops, Piazza Navona and the Senate are in walking distance. The entrance to the hotel is a huge door and you have to buzz on the left hand side, top left button to be let in. It seems shady but then opens to a pretty courtyard. The (SMALL)elevator is on the immediate right and may take some time to get there but useful with luggage if you have a lot. The hotel entrance is on the THIRD floor not the second. Lots of stairs. Room was decent and bathroom was clean. Provided a safe place to sleep.

It was a nice place, but a bit to over priced in my opinion. There are several other hotels in the same plaza for less. Location was great, but there was nothing special about the hotel except the location. THey should at least have had WIFI in rooms.

Everything is done right in this hotel. Great shower and bed, lots of room, free wifi, FREE minibar of drinks (!), complimentary coffee and pastries also brought to your door in the morning at the appointed time you pre-request. Lovely, attentive staff. Very peaceful street (via della Pace!) and great views form the window. Wish they had hair conditioner, but that is a tiny thing. I also couldnt figure out how to use the coffeemaker in the room but that wasn't so necessary. I opted for Prosecco instead. Would go back here in a heartbeat.

This hotel is in a perfect location within Piazza Navona and is within walking distance of all the major attractions in Rome. The hotel was spotless and the American breakfast was great eventhough the breakfast area is quite small. I would point out that my wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in mid-January so I cannot comment on what its like during peak season.
The reception staff were very friendly and had good English. There are plenty of nice restraunts within 1-2 minutes walk from the hotel and even an Irish bar just around the corner.
I would definately recommend this hotel and also the location to anyone visiting Rome.
Note: Some websites rate this hotel as 5-Star but it is more 4-star.

The hotel staff was knowledgeable and friendly, very accomodating and willing to share tips about sightseeing in Rome. The location was perfect as you are just steps away from Piazza Navona and its 3 beautiful fountains, and not too far from the other main attractions. About 6 Euro cabfare max for most other main sights. Very central. The room itself is quite nice, with typical Italian decor (bright, regal colors, comfy furniture). The only complaint we had was that there was mold in the mini-fridge which was quite off-putting, especially for a 4-star hotel. Additionally, the bathroom had some mold on the ceiling as well.

Our first trip to Rome was amazing... all the more so because of the sleep and rest we got at this charming hotel. Their restaurant, in comparison to the meals we had at other restaurants in the city, wasn't very good but we weren't staying at the hotel for their food. The room was pleasant, quite LARGE for a European hotel, quiet, and well taken care of. Their cleaning staff is efficient and wonderful. We found perfume had been sprayed in the room to enhance the visit most every day we returned, tired, from our travels through the Eternal City. Our only complaint: NO FREE (or low cost) INTERNET ACCESS! They wanted an extraordinarily large fee to access their connection (€39,00!!). Worthless. Outside of that, I'd definitely consider staying here again for the sleeping arrangements, the large room, the pleasant staff. The LOCATION can't be beat! We welcomed the Pantheon every morning and dropped by every night. You can get anywhere quickly and easily from this hotel.

Excellent! the staff was very helpfull in every moment, the room was completely new, big and confortable, it's the first hotel i feel really good in Rome, in all my travel to Rome i was never been sodisfact of any hotel, this one was beyond what i expect, and for sure,i'll comeback to this hotel every time i'll need to visit Rome in the future. Excellent view, good breakfast, excellent location... i have no words to explain how good i feel in this hotel. Then, i forgot some things in the hotel, and they saved for me, so it's a plus of the plus.

Location super, however you´ll pay much more than the real value of this hotel; for 180 euro/night I got a room with a window at 2m from the floor looking into an internal corridor, room was totally without daylight, gives you the feeling to be in a bunker; breakfast was also rather poor;

Description
Hotel Lunetta is a 4 star luxury hotel located in the centre of Rome, close to Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, Largo Argentina and Trastevere. This hotel is located in the building of an ancient hostel built on the remains of the walls of the Theatre of Pompeius, in Piazza del Paradiso 68. The theatre was inaugurated in 55 B.C. and, according to historical testimonies, it was used until the 6th century A.D. The complex was initially composed by the theater with the Venus Victrix temple and by the arcades. On the eastern side of the building, in the direction of Largo Argentina, there was the ancient Curia where Julius Caesar was killed in 44 B.C. The radial walls of the theater are visible from within the Hotel Lunetta and are made in opus reticulatum, an ancient Roman building technique which allows to obtain a regular diagonal lattice. This technique spread throughout Italy from the first century B.C. on and is visible also in the near Theatre of Marcellus (17 B.C.). The theatre was restored several times and the arcades disappeared in the Middle Ages, however the shape of the Theatre of Pompeius is still recognizable in the facades of the buildings and in the roads. In the foundation of Hotel Lunetta, where now the wide luxury Spa is located, it is still possible to admire the remains of the ancient walls of the theatre thanks to the installation of glass panels implanted close to the walls to preserve them over time and to allow the usability for the hotel's guests. A stay at Hotel Lunetta in the center of Rome is certainly the best way to be immersed in the millenary history of Rome, as the remains of the ancient Theater of Pompeius are a precious testimony of the ancient splendor of the city. The historical testimonies are everywhere in this building.

Hotel location is excellent, the staff were great. The only reason for not giving 5 stars on amenties is that the steam room had broken down. I think though, that was just bad luck for us... Breakfast was excellent, rooms comfortable. I do think however because this hotel has just been renovated, you do pay the price for it... All in all would recommend to friends and family...

Due to the central position of the apartments it is possible to visit the Vatican city, Saint Peter'sCathedral, The Sistine Chapel, Saint Angel's Castle by the Tiber, the Spanish steps,(which end at the top in front of the Church of Trinit dei Monti), Pincio (where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Rome), The Coliseum, The Forum and the Circus Maximus.
Another attraction close to the apartments is Campo de' Fiori where one of the most famous local markets takes place every day. You can find beautiful flowers, any kind of fresh food and handmade products made following old traditions. Every day you will have a vast choice of events to attend thanks to the central position of the apartments.
Our apartments are equipped with all modern comforts, comparable to a stay in a hotel.They are furnished with antiques, and in line with the traditional Roman style of the distinctive buildings in the area.
Lastly, our apartments are equipped with a kitchen, so you can try immediately to make some of the typical roman recipes.

Ideal Spot in the Heart of Ancient Rome

My daughter and I were in Rome to cover an event at the Vatican. The location, very near Piazza Navona, was ideal for trekking to the various events across the city -- from St. Peter's Basilica to the Coliseum -- and with easy access to dining and other services in the piazza. The apartment was beautiful and well appointed. The rooms were spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were large. We had a little trouble with working the key in the lock, but figured it out about the time with left! [...] was great in helping us find an additional room in the over-crowded city for an unexpected extra night. I would definitely stay here again -- so much better than a hotel and the location can't be beat! I wish we could have stayed longer.

The comfortable 3 star Albergo del Senato is your window to the Pantheon. At Albergo del Senato you will always be facing the 2000 year old Roman temple. The hotel was built at the end of the nineteenth century by G. Kock the famous Italian architect. Due to its unique position the hotel immediately became very fashionable with J.P. Sartre and S. Therefore the quarter is very characteristic and lively yet at the same time very safe and silent at night time. All the rooms have been renovated and are equipped with Sky LCD satellite TV; mini bar; safe; WiFi internet; bathroom; hairdryer and air conditioning all to make your stay a comfortable and relaxing one. Private parking is available just 400m from the hotel at an extra charge. As of 01Jan2011 a Tourist Tax of Euro2 per person per night will be charged at the hotel which is not included in the total room price. Additional information; Children over the age of 0 are considered adults. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.

Relais Maddalena stands right in the middle of everything! This cozy 6 room guest house is the ideal couch for those who love to get to Rome on a weekend for a romantic getaway or a quick tour of the historical center. We are just 300 feet away from the Pantheon and the location is really convenient if you like to enjoy the beauty of monumental Rome without using the car or public transportation: everything is at hand and can be reached with an easy walk. The rooms are all elegant and functional; you will find hand made upholstery and fine antiques, king size beds and sound proof windows, plus all the comfort of modern technology: air conditioning/heating, minibar, satellite and cable TV, internet connection, safebox and more! Many rooms have a lovely view outside on piazza della Maddalena and on piazza Rondanini, two among the neatest small piazzas of central Rome.
We clean the rooms every day and change the linen every 2 days, and towels every time is needed. All our rooms have private bathrooms, which are spacious and comfortable. The staff is helpful and will do nearly anything to make your stay in Rome the most enjoyable.

In addition to a perfectly appointed room, you will enjoy the location - one block from the Pantheon, a delicious european breakfast and exceptional service.With only 2 short nights in Rome, my husband and I had a wonderful experience thanks in large part to staying here. We had a room overlooking the piazza below where musicians serenaded us while drinking our chianti...we felt like we were in a movie![...] and staff are wonderful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Great home base, even if staff is lacking

Great renovations with nice style. Really liked the decor. It was really nice having breakfast provided, but the staff's personality was severely lacking. They weren't rude, but always quite aloof and disinterested when interacting with them. The only exception was Ana, who pointed out maps and offered her assistance with any needs. She was the only one to do so. The hotel is just off a main street in a great location for 10 minute walks to a LOT of the main sites. It also is 5 minutes walk fro two Piazzas which are filled with restaurants.

This is a good property situated in an ideal location. 1008 FR The hotel is housed on the 1st floor of a traditional Italian Palazzo. The hotel is located in the historical centre. It is situated in a charming and quite area only few minutes from Piazza Navona and all major attractions.

Very nice for the price

Tucked in the corner of a small street two blocks from Piazza Navona. First cab left us off two blocks away and departure cab parked one block away. Cabs are not familiar with this very small hotel and have a hard time finding it. Three different people at the desk during our stay had limited to poor English speaking ability. You are basically getting a newly decotated small bedroom and nice sized bath that are verty clean for a good price in Rome. Breakfast is brought to your room and consists of toast, croissant, coffee and a small slice of cheese and ham. The electricity was off for periods of time both mornings we were there. Luckily happened after we were cleaned up and ready to go. Since we spent very little time in our room this hotel fit our needs very well. Be aware there is just a block number 19 and nice green door with a call button. You go down a small hall and up to second floor to get to the desk and hallway with the rooms.

Hotel Santa Chiara is one of the few remaining hotels of its caliber that continues to be owned and run by the same family for generations past. The original structure was primarily a convent. Throughout the years it served to sell wine and olive oil with the possibility of lodgings until in the year 1883 when it became a hotel. Many of the rooms available to our guests have recently been refurbished and there is also the possibility of wireless internet connection in the public areas. In room amenities include air conditioning; mini bar; Sat TV; direct dial telephone and desk with working area. The hotel also includes within its grounds an open space where one can relax with a drink whilst admiring the spectacular view of the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva Church. The Hotels breakfast room has recently undergone refurbishment and provides a rich buffet daily. From 01 January 2011 a Tourist Tax of Euro2 per guest 2 years of age and older and per night will be charged at the hotel which is not included in the total room price. Additional Information; Children age 3 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children over this age will be considered adult and will be charged as adults. It is not possible in most rooms to add extra beds or cots. A separate room must be booked if children are included. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.

The apartment Navona is wide and independent, at guest complete disposition you do not have to share it with other guests settled in the center of Rome,in a very quite street, near piazza Navona, few steps from Vaticano and 300mt far from Fontana di Trevi. The apartment is composed by a bedroom with matrimonial bed, livingroom with matrimonial sof-bed, furnished kitchen and bathroom with shower and bath-tube. The apartment is supported with indipendent heating sistem, it can support 5 persons. The rates are very low like in a bed and brakfast but you do not have to share the apartment with other guests. The breakfast is included in the price, it will be offered in bar close to the apartment. Check-in is at 4 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions. As a bed and breakfast property, the Front Desk hours will vary guests should contact the property to find out more information.
