We were promptly taken care of by the very professional front desk staff. We arrived quite early in the day and our rooms were available within the hour. This gave us enough time to cross the street and have a lovely break fast and enjoy a delicious espresso after a long flight.
Our triple was OK for its size. We were only staying one night and so found it adequate. Another couple we traveled with had what appeared to be a deluxe double that was comparable to many American hotels.
The hotel is located 2 blocks from the Termini but within walking distance of the Fontana di Trevi, other sights and what seemed like hundreds of restaurants.
WiFi was included and accessible from our room.
We paid additional for the buffet breakfast the next morning as we slept late and didn't feel like exploring the neighborhood. It was quite extensive and tasty with the usual assortment of breads, pastries, fruits, yogurt, cereals, cheeses, eggs, breakfast meats and charcuterie. Juice, teas and water with and without gas and wine were also included.
All in all we were quite pleased.

Wonderful view of most of the forum, part of the senate, the palatine, and Victor Emmanuel II. Breakfast is delicious and bountiful, staff is warm and friendly. Centrally located in ancient Rome.

Nice place to stay, friendly staff, very clean and safe. 10 minutes walk from the train station so you do not have to take a taxi to get there. Walking distance to the center and Coliseum if you are a good walker. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately, internet is only at the lobby and only until 11 pm.
I would stay at this hotel next time and will recommend it to my friends.

Wonderful vacation to Rome

Could not have asked for anything better for a hotel rated 3 star. The hotel was used as a place to sleep, shower up and have a quick breakfast. Breakfast was self serve and consisted of a small assortment of meats, breads, yogurts, cereals and cheeses. Would have liked to have fresh fruit and juices. There was an orange drink, something like "Tang" and one that was red which I did not try. The room was very clean, I never saw ANY kind of bug and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was on a very quiet residential street. It was maybe a 5-10 minute walk from Metro Cavour which was great, we were able to walk or take the subway to everywhere we wanted to go. We felt very safe and secure there at the hotel and the whole area around the hotel.

Went with a friend and his mother. He took his mother to celebrate her 75th birthday. We used the room basically for a place to sleep and clean up. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and in a great location. We were about 10 minute walk from the metro (Cavour) stop. Hotel is in a residential area so very quiet at night when trying to sleep. The booking came with breakfast, this could have been better. There was an array of breads, ham, salami, cheese, 1 type of cereal and granola and yogurt. The breakfast could have been better if they had fresh fruit and fresh juice. What was offered was enough to get us going. I would definitely stay there again. We had a triple room which had 3 single beds. As with any European hotel it was small but served it's purpose. Overall it was a great experience.

The staff were all very helpful with one hotel front desk receptionist (young man) extremely helpful and very kind. Most of the staff knew fairly good English and were glad to help whenever they could. The breakfast was good and saved a lot of money by eating there in the mornings. The location was perfect walking distance to most of the major sites in Rome, just a stones throw from the Colosseum and Forum. If you are willing to get some exercise it is even worth the walk to the Vatican, about an hour away. There is no airport shuttle as the reservations suggested, but that is minor as you can catch a bus, train or taxi as you prefer. An excellent week in Roma!

This hotel is located right outside a metro station, and a block away from the bus/tram which takes you to the center of Rome where all the attractions are. Very quiet as well. I only have 3 negative comments:
i) The internet signal in the rooms are poor; and
ii) The interior of the rooms need to be re-painted; flaking off; and
iii) there is no separation between the shower and toilet. The soap water pretty much runs wild in the bathroom.

My second stay at Hotel Cosmopolita, confirmed that this is a great place to stay in Rome. You cannot beat the value and location. It's not the fanciest hotel in the world, as some might expect a 4-star to be, but it more than gets the job done, coming from someone who's particular about where he stays.

Great Value and Prime Location

I was in Rome for the marathon on March 18th and wanted to stay near the start/finish line (Coliseum), so I could easily walk to and from the race. Additionally, I wanted a hotel very near a metro stop. This hotel was perfect! Within a 5-minute walk, you are at the Coliseum. Within a minute, you are at the Cavour metro station (which is only one station away from the main station: Termini). A bus dropped us off at the Termini Station from the airport for only 4 euros. There is also an express train available for 20 euros, but we opted for the bus since we were in no hurry and wanted to enjoy some of the scenery. Only having to ride the metro, with all our luggage, for one stop was a nice treat... we could not ask for more.
The hotel staff was exceptional: very helpful, pleasant, and they spoke English, which helped a great deal with my limited Italian. They were always eager to give tips on local restaurants, attractions, etc. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and the staff was very helpful with printing/making copies of necessary documents.
My boyfriend and I stayed there six nights, so they gave us one of the larger rooms available at no additional cost. They told me they wanted us to feel comfortable for such an extended stay (most people appeared to stay for about 2 nights and they headed off). We arrived at the hotel around 10:30 a.m., after a red eye from the States the night before, and we only had to wait 5 minutes before our room was ready. In many other instances, both abroad and in the U.S., rooms may not be ready until the afternoon. We were extremely pleased to be able to get in quickly.
The free continental breakfast was sufficient and it sure did help save us some money. We stuck with the pastries, cereal, and fruit and certainly enjoyed the coffee/latte/etc. variety. There is a meat variety available, but we did not try it. The eating area was well staffed and the food was fresh.
There is a rooftop area that is very enjoyable in the morning as the sun shone on the city. At sunset and night, the city was illuminated beautifully.

Nice little gem, great breakfast

A little further from a metro station than we originally thought it would be, but we still walked there with luggage, and it wasnt too bad.
The common areas are nice and clean, and the breakfast (food and outdoore seating area) were awesome, the best of our 3 week trip!
We arrived early, and did not expect to check in early, but they let us change clothes and get cleaned up in the lobby bathroom and held our luggage for us. BUT when we did get back to the hotel later that night, at like 11:00pm, our luggage was still sitting in the lobby, they had not taken it to the room, and we ended up having to take it up ourselves. Kinda of disconcerting to know our bags were sitting out where other people could get to them for 12 hours.

We stayed for 4 nights and had no problems whatsoever. We were also impressed by the expansive and tasty breakfast offered to guests. The hotel was in a great location (walkable to Termini train station, the Forum, the Colisseum, and the Vatican, as well as close to some great food like Da Ricci pizzeria).
The staff were all friendly and overall we enjoyed our time. The only negative was that the furnishings of the room were dated.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable experience at Giolli Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We needed an early breakfast one day and they were able to provide it. The staff also helped us with calling and making confirmations on our day trips and provided suggestions as to how to get to the pick up points. The room was comfortable and clean. As far as the location of the hotel, it is in the center of the historic district which was perfect for us as we were in Rome to visit the historic places.

The Saturnia was in a great location and easy to find with signs along Via Covour. The staff was very friendly and always on duty at the front desk. The room was very small, but that didn't matter because you shouldn't be spending much time in your room when you visit Rome. The continental breakfast was free and standard for ones I've seen across Europe.

A comfortable and convenient experience
-

- Mar 21, 2012
My stay was comfortable and relaxing, from the
friendliness of the staff to the size and layout of the room. It was a real bonus to have free access to the internet. For those who like to walk, it is an extremely convenient location, from the Trevi fountain to the train station or even the Vatican, but especially to the Colosseum which was about a block and a half away. Lots of restaurants to experience throughout the narrow (and main) streets. To those persons who wrote in to complain about the small showers; this is Europe, adjust, I am not a small person but I adapted.

This hotel is actually part of a Basilica which is amazing, nice and quiet. I shared a room with my daughter and the bed was queen sized and more comfortable than we anticipated. The room was very clean and nice. The showers are very small in Italy, but serve the function intended. There is absolute old world charm here and because the popular parts of Roma are noisy and crowded, this is a wonderful place to relax when you're tired of sight seeing. In Italy, lunch is from about noon to 2 and then everything closes until 7 PM, but you can find pizza and panini all day in most areas. There are not many restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, but a market is just across the street. There is a breakfast for patrons of the hotel and it consists of meats, fruits, cheeses, pastries, yogurts, cereals, juices, milk tea and coffee. A continental assortment.Smiling isn't something the locals do much, but once given a friendly smile they too will lighten up and greet you in return. If you arrive with an attitude of exploration and open mindedness you should enjoy your stay. It always helps to try to speak some in Italian, they appreciate it the effort. All of the employees spoke english well. The metro is approximately a 20 minute walk from the hotel and crossing the street in front of the hotel is the best way to navigate. The bus stop is closer than the metro and tickets (for both costing 1 euro) can be purchased at the tabbacchi right near the stop, but the metro will get you where you want to go much faster. Beware of early morning travel and after work, for all public trans will be less than standing room only.
